Memory Of Love

Memory Of Love
The Part 15

Casey was able to get out of the hospital, after two days he was admitted there.

At that time, it coincided with the time of the weekend break.

So Casey just take advantage of the extra rest time, by being at home only.

And as Casey had guessed, if he would have trouble convincing Daniel that he could get back to work, without Daniel needing to worry too much about his circumstances.

It took Casey more effort to persuade Daniel not to forbid him from returning to work.

Casey had even explained that the reason he could fall unconscious at the party was only because the activities on that day were too crowded, but Daniel was still unmoved.

After many times Casey persuaded Daniel, finally this morning, Daniel then surrendered, and Casey could be allowed by Daniel to leave for the office.

Before lunch break, Lionel was already in Casey's study, and was sitting there waiting for Casey.

"Lion! ... Hm...." Casey did not know where to start her question, so she ended up just muttering.

"What's wrong?" asked Lionel, looking curious.

Lionel, who had been sitting on the sofa, then approached Casey who was sitting in his chair.

"I'm curious ... Is it possible that Grandpa is hiding something from me?" ask Casey, hesitating.

"Ugh? ... Why do you think like that?" Lionel who looked puzzled, asked back.

"When we just got home from the hospital overseas, Grandpa asked me, to pretend as if I remembered Aaron's parents....

... When I was about to be officially appointed, Grandpa brought up the matchmaking, and even, she said she wanted me to be ready soon to marry Aaron," Casey said.

"Hm ... That's natural, isn't it?" sahut Lionel, after being silent for a while.

"Nrt! ... If only I could remember everything. Maybe there will be no 'puzzle pieces' missing, which can make me confused," Casey said, annoyed.

"There is no need to force yourself to think about it. Don't let you 'fall' from exhaustion again!" sahut Lionel's.

Lionel then leaned on the edge of Casey's desk, until they were both almost face to face.

"Casey! ... Our return from abroad, then your appointment as chief commissioner, it was days ago....

... Why did you think to talk about it today? Is there a reason? Is there anything that makes you think about it all?" said Lionel.

"When I fell unconscious, I think I remembered my encounter with Aaron, for the first time," Casey replied.

"Ugh? ... Your memory's starting to come back? Why didn't you say it before?" ask Lionel.

Lionel seemed to be very surprised by Casey's statement, until Lionel stood up straight, and stared fixedly at Casey.

"Have you told Grandpa, or your doctor?" ask Lionel.

"Not ... I just told you. Because I'm still not sure, if it's a memory of the past, or just a dream" Casey replied.

"What do you remember? Do you want to tell me?" ask Lionel, hurry up.

"Not much ... Only when Aaron and his parents came to my house. And the first time I met them" Casey replied.

"It wasn't a dream! Aaron's parents, who asked your Grandpa to consider setting you up with Aaron....

... That's why, until they come to your house, to introduce themselves to you. And of course, they hope that you can be interested in Aaron—"

Apparently, there was still something Lionel wanted to say back then, but he suddenly stopped his words.

Then, in a hurry, Lionel seemed to want to switch the conversation, saying,

"Hopefully all your memories can come back soon."

Although Casey knew something was suspicious, Casey did not force Lionel to speak.

Because according to Casey, neither Lionel nor Daniel could possibly have bad intentions for Casey.

Thus, if there is anything they hide, surely they have a good purpose for Casey, later.

So Casey pretended, as if she didn't realize, that Lionel was still covering up something from her, and then said,

"Let's go to lunch! ... I'm hungry."

"Okay!" sahut Lionel, who then immediately walked out of the room, along with Casey.

In the office cafeteria, again, Oscar sat down for lunch at the same table, with Casey and Lionel.

"Why were none of you seen here, a few days ago?" ask Oscar, open the conversation.

"We're on a business trip."

Oscar is then seen nodding his head, while Lionel is only silent, while staring at Casey.

"I got Steve's personal number from my parents. Do you still want it?" oscar said, raising both eyebrows.

"Yes, of course!" sahut Casey, passionate.

Oscar then pulled out his phone, and seemed to be preparing to convey what was seen on his phone screen, to Casey.

So did Casey, who later saved the numbers from Steve's mobile number, mentioned by Oscar, into his phone.

"Thank you!" casey said, smiling broadly, then looking at Steve's contact number, which was already stored on his phone.

"Together" said Oscar.

Casey intended to be able to communicate with Steve as soon as possible, so he immediately typed in a message at that moment, then sent it to Steve's contact.

"There it must be midnight by now" said Oscar, apparently realizing Casey had just sent Steve a message.

"Yes, I know ... That's why I just send him a message, because I don't want to disturb him while he's at work....

... Besides, he'll have enough time, to remember who I am, who suddenly contacted him" Casey said, smiling.

The food was not finished, but suddenly, Casey's phone rang, and a contact Steve contacted him at the time was seen.

Casey smiled broadly, revealing the screen to Oscar and Lionel, and said,

"It seems he still remembers me well."

Casey then immediately received the incoming phone call from Steve, then greeted him.

"Hello!"

"Hello! ... Casey?! ... Am I talking to Casey Roberts?" steve said across the phone.

"Yes, Steve! ... It's me, Casey," Casey said. "Did my message just disturb your sleep?"

"It's okay ... I haven't heard from you in a long time. Hows it? Was there any particular reason, until you suddenly contacted me?

... Don't tell me you miss me, after all this time you never told me anything" Steve said.

While talking to Casey, Steve sounded as if he was going to laugh, across the street.

"I did call you because I missed you" Casey said, holding back a laugh.

"Haha...!" Steve finally laughed across the street. "Casey...! What's the matter exactly?"

"I want to meet you. Do you have time?" Casey.

"Hm ... You're the one who's coming here? Or ... I'm the one you asked to go to your country?" steve Sahut.

"I need your help here ... If I asked you to come here, would you like to?" ask Casey.

"Hm ... Waita minute!" steve said, then it sounded as if there was something, which he was doing across.

For some time Casey waited, Steve still did not say anything more.

"Hello, Casey?!" steve said, suddenly.

"Yes, I'm still here" Casey said.

"I can clear my schedule, in less than two weeks. But you'll pick me up later, won't you?" said Steve.

"Of course!" answer Casey. "When can you travel?"

"If I can get a ticket, then tomorrow afternoon, I should be able to travel to your country" replied Steve.

"Now! ... Don't forget to let me know later, if you come here," Casey said.

"Now! ... Goodbye, Casey! See you soon!" steve said goodbye.

"Bye, Steve! ... Can't wait to see you!" suhut Casey, then disconnect the phone.

"Your acquaintance will be here?" ask Lionel.

"Yes ... If he gets a flight ticket, then tomorrow the day after tomorrow, he might have arrived here already" Casey replied.

"Hm ... Is Steve not married?" casey asked, looking at Oscar.

"I don't know if it's true or not ... But if it's not wrong, my parents said, Steve is not married yet" replied Oscar, sounding hesitant.
