Memory Of Love

Memory Of Love
The Part 24

Lunch break is not over, but Casey, who has finished eating, and wants to clean his hands first, chooses to go to the restroom immediately.

When Casey came out of the bathroom, Steve was there, and so was Aaron, and they both seemed to be talking there.

"Aaron! ... Steve! ... What are you two doing here?" ask Casey, astonished.

"I went to the restroom and met Mister Hamilton by accident" Steve replied.

Casey looked at Steve and Aaron, alternated, then stopped looking at Steve, then said,

"Are you still going to survive here? ... I'm going back upstairs."

"Casey!" aaron said, until Casey looked at him.

Although Aaron seemed to want to hold Casey, he looked hesitant, and instead looked at Steve, for a while, before he looked back at Casey.

"What's wrong?" ask Casey.

"Hm ... Can I talk to you alone?" ask Aaron.

"Huuffft...!" Casey gave a rough snort, then looked towards Steve, and said,

"Steve! ... Ii'm sorry. But, can you wait out there for a moment? I don't think I'll talk to him for long."

Steve did not immediately respond to Casey's words, but looked at Casey and Aaron alternately, then he nodded his head, as his gaze stopped on Casey.

"Okay!" steve said, then walked away from it.

"What else is it?" ask Casey.

"I think he likes you" Aaron said.

"Ugh? ... Whatchu mean?" ask Casey.

"Steve ... I think he likes you." Aaron repeated his words.

"Did you like it? I mean, are you also romantically interested in her?" aaron, hurry.

"Do you realize that if your behavior is too curious, it is very disturbing?" ask Casey.

"I assume you're interested in him. Right, so?" asked Aaron, as if he was making his own prejudice, regardless of Casey's question.

"If I'm interested in him, then what's the problem?" casey asked, frowning.

"Casey...! I'm...." Aaron looked like he was at a loss for words to speak.

"Huuufft...!" Casey grunts violently. "There's no way you're bothered by that, are you?"

Looking at Aaron, there seemed to be something he wanted to say, yet it was as if he was hesitant to speak, and just stared fixedly at Casey, by putting on an expression that Casey couldn't understand.

"Is there anything else you're talking about?" ask Casey.

Aaron fell silent.

"I'll go first!" Casey.

Casey then immediately passed away leaving Aaron, and caught up with Steve who was still waiting for him, not far from it.

"Is there a problem?" ask Steve.

"Gee! ... I don't know what he wants. I asked, but...." Casey doesn't want to talk about Aaron any further.

"Let's get out of here!" casey said, bring Steve.

In his study, even without showing general company data, Casey told an outline of the company's management, which he considered to be less than optimal, to Steve.

And more or less the same as Casey thought, Steve also agreed, if some parts of the company should be changed.

"I think it's just that. It would be better if you talk about it with the CEO. Then see how it responds....

... I feel uncomfortable, if I'm an outsider, then considered too involved, and participate in giving opinions," said Steve.

Casey understood well, what Steve meant, so he made no comment, and just nodded his head.

"Otherwise, it seems the CEO doesn't like my whereabouts," Steve continued, suddenly.

Steve, who seemed hesitant, did not answer Casey's question, and asked back, saying,

"I'm sorry ... But ... Casey! Aside from the employment relationship, do you have more relationship with the CEO?"

"Nothing ... Didn't you hear what I said before? He doesn't like me" Casey replied.

"Hm ... I think you've misjudged it. CEO likes you. Perhaps more accurately, he is interested in you....

... And not just friends, acquaintances or coworkers. He likes you more than that" Steve said.

"Pffit...!" Casey laughed, covering her mouth with her clenched hands.

"I'm sorry ... I don't intend to laugh at you. But I'm sure he actually hates me. He was just pretending to be nice to me....

... Because he was certainly worried, if I became an enemy to him, then I shook his post," Casey said, smiling sinisterly at the thought of Aaron's face.

Although he said nothing, Steve seemed to be in disbelief, with what Casey said.

Casey leaned her back on the sofa.

Then, without being asked by Steve, Casey explained the reason he could make his guess earlier, saying, Casey,

"Before I served as the chief commissioner at this company, Aaron never paid any attention to my whereabouts....

...In fact, even though her lover disturbed me first, and tried to humiliate me in front of the crowd, but it was me who was scolded by her....

... Then all of a sudden, after I took the top job in this company, she became more attentive, and seemed to want to have a good relationship with me."

"What do you think?" casey asked, looking at Steve fixedly, and raised both eyebrows.

"Hm ... Well then, maybe I'm the one who's been wrong about it" Steve said.

"Because when he was talking to me earlier, he looked like someone who was feeling jealous" Steve continued, expressing what he was thinking.

"I guess, if he seems to dislike your existence, because he may already feel suspicious...,

... If I'm planning on hiring you, if I change the management of this company," Casey said.

"Ugh?" Steve looks confused. "What do you mean?"

"If you agree to work here, then I plan to apply for you, to serve as president director, in the shareholders meeting," Casey replied.

"Oh, my goodness! ... Did I hear wrong? ... You can't be serious!" Steve looked surprised, but at last he just laughed a little.

"Do you think I'm just kidding?" ask Casey.

Steve was silent for a while, so Casey continued his explanation, saying, Casey,

"Roberts Group owns 62 percent of R&H Corp. The rest are held by the Hamilton group....

...Aaron was appointed CEO, simply because Roberts of the group appreciated Hamilton, who was the originator to establish the company....

... As the main representative of the Roberts group, I can certainly get rid of Aaron at any time. But I'm not gonna do it. Especially if it's just for personal reasons."

"To be honest, I'm more focused on making this company more profitable for Roberts group, so I'm even just going to give you a trial period at this company....

... And if you manage to lead, until the target expected by Roberts group is reached, then you will be retained," Casey continued.

"So you want me to work here, because you want me to be on the board of directors, and be able to watch over him directly?" ask Steve.

"Yes ... Because there are some things, which I feel are not in line with the company's goals, but my guess has not been proven....

... I don't want to waste my time in this company. I want to make a change soon, in his management," Casey replied.

This time, slightly lowering his gaze, Steve seemed to nod his head, as if he was thinking of something there.

"I know I have a good purpose. But is the plan you're thinking about not that extreme?" said Steve.

"Hm ... Which would be more extreme, compared to me directly disposing of the CEO?" sahut Casey's.

"Wow! ... Did you really think that far?" steve asked, looking flinched.

"Of course! ... If Aaron is indeed incompetent, why should his post be retained?" sahut Casey, steady.
