My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me

My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me
Chapter 2 ~ Meeting A Little Girl

An hour later the plane landed in London.

Ruby got off the plane and several bodyguards lined up to greet her. Lily, Xavier and Sean followed behind him. Then they boarded the previously prepared car and split up at a crossroads.

One of the cars took Ruby directly to the meeting place with the client, while another car brought her two sons back home under the watchful eye of the bodyguards.

After the car split up, Ruby became much more relaxed. Letting others know about the participation of his two sons was too dangerous.

As he said before, his two sons were the most precious. Given how high the Diedrich Group fluttered, there was no way there was no dirt behind it. The success of the Diedrich Group clearly left many enemies behind. Every time, every time, there's a death threat.

Fortunately, it was difficult to access information about the Diedrich family. So that the existence of Xavier and Sean is hidden very well.

Ruby looked out the window.

It's been eight years.

Not a moment.

And this is the first time Ruby has set foot in London after eight years of leaving this place. He remembered at that time that she was just a very pitiful young lady. Abandoned, unwanted, and dying.

His disappointment in someone made him depressed and he had an accident. His leg was almost amputated and his life was at stake. Fortunately, his family tried their best for his recovery. His father sent him to America so he could get the best treatment. But unbeknownst to him, they risked their lives for all of it.

His father sold everything they had. And in an instant his family became homeless.

They are so poor they cannot buy food. They are hungry, they have no place to live. They lead a very bad and miserable life.

But that was before.

Now everything is different. In addition to picking the stars in the sky, Ruby can give anything to her parents. Home, car, jewelry, living well, vacation abroad, he can provide a safe and comfortable life for them.

Ruby gave it her all without her parents having to ask for it. The reason was simple, they were suffering so much at that moment, they were suffering because of him. And to heal that suffering, Ruby tried to cover it up with a better life.

Although bad memories are impossible to forget, at least they can cover them with more happy sweet memories.

Ruby closed her eyes slowly and her facial expression showed irony. Memories he didn't want to think came back to him. But fortunately, he could laugh at her now. After eight years.

Indeed, it takes a long time as well as a lot of effort just to come to terms with the circumstances. But seeing how he now lived, he was quite proud of himself.

An important meeting that eventually leads Ruby to a luxury restaurant in the center of the City.

Although she only arrived in London a moment ago, Ruby is unlikely to refuse cooperation with SVN involving two billion dollars with doubled profits. Those numbers were already enough of a reason for him to come to the meeting in person.

Although he may have asked others to act, in fact he chose to act on his own.

"There's still five minutes left, ma'am," Lily said when she saw Ruby was still busy with her phone. It had been ten minutes for the car to stop, but there was no sign of Ruby rising from her seat.

"M." Ruby didn't have time to watch the surroundings. He was exchanging messages with his eldest son, Xavier. After Xavier sends a message to be careful and returns home safely, Rubi immediately saves his phone.

Ruby's high-heeled shoes tread on the ground then she tidied up her front clothes first. It felt pretty neat, he immediately stepped foot towards the entrance of the restaurant. Two steps later, someone hit him.

Ruby was startled and her gaze came down to see what was attached to her. Along with that, a little girl looked up at him.

Ruby's dumbfounded.

The little girl looked to be seven or eight years old. Her long hair was tied high up in the back and her face was very pretty. But there was something strange about him. Why does his face look so similar to someone?

For a moment they shared a moment of daze.

Lily panicked to see this. Everyone knows Ruby is a lover of cleanliness. The woman's fear of a stranger's touch that would allow her to transmit the virus makes Ruby impulsive, no matter what, no matter who, no matter whether it's an adult or a child. That was why everyone chose to keep their distance from the cruel woman.

But today, a little girl dared to throw herself to Ruby, did the little girl ask for death?

The mood turned tense.

"Sorry, Madam. I'm gonna get rid of this kid now." Lily moved forward about to grab the little boy's body before Ruby did things out of control.

But Ruby's reaction was unexpected.

Ruby raised her hand. "Not needed." He lifted the little boy's body and then put him to the side. "Other times be careful" he said before stepping away into the restaurant entrance as if what he said and what he did was not he who uttered and not he who did.

Lily was stunned to see this. But he breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness Ruby still knows a place not to make a fuss. Really lucky little girl. Lily stared at the boy for a glimpse before finally walking following Ruby into the restaurant.

Savana is stunned to see Ruby's departure. His gaze landed on the woman's back. After her figure was not seen anymore, she still felt the warmth left behind from the small touch Ruby did.

"Young Miss, don't do this again! Master will scold you if you go back to throwing a tantrum." The nanny who was after Savana stumbled. He caught Savana's wrist and pulled her away. "You worry me" he grumbled.

"Auntie, did you see that woman? She's beautiful, fragrant and tall?" Savana asked in her small voice, ignoring the grunts of the nanny and was busy describing the figure of the woman she had just met. Rather than himself, he paid more attention to the woman. Whether it was just a coincidence or not, yet he was a little curious.

"Which woman, Miss? I don't see anyone."

The eight-year-old girl gave a rough sigh. "Ah, you here, how could you not see it?"

"I really don't see anyone, Miss."

Savana pensively paused for a while before muttering, "May I hallucinate?" She felt that the presence of the woman was very real. But when he realized that everything could turn very quickly into foam, he immediately forgot about it. "Where's Daddy, Auntie?"

"Master is having a meeting with some important people. You are not allowed to make Master angry anymore, understand!" The nanny's aunt is half-threatening, but certainly not serious.

"Yes. I-i understand. Sorry about this."

"Good girl," praised the nanny. "Let's go somewhere else."

Savana. "M."
