Chapter 6 ~ Not Accepting Rejection

Ignoring some of the unpleasant things that just happened, Vidrian gives instructions for Carl to get started.

Vidrian no longer wants to mince words because whatever he says, regardless of whether it is true or not, everything will remain and always be wrong in Ruby's eyes.

Carl nodded slightly then opened his voice, "Thank you very much for taking the time for us, Mrs Diedrich, Miss Lily. Our master is indeed unwell at the moment. I hope you can understand our difficult situation." Carl said this time, not today. Which meant that only at this moment did Vidrian seem like a sick man. After this meeting passes, the person will probably return to health.

As soon as Carl finished talking, Vidrian threw a glare as if he was going to take Carl's life this very second.

Carl cleared his throat to disguise his nervousness. Instead, he dared to look at Ruby.

"Continue" Ruby said, giving instructions.

"Include, we're from SVN." Carl puts his business card on the table and pushes it forward. "I'm Carl, Mr. Vidrian's assistant. We are developing a new business in the field of fashion. We sincerely hope Diedrich Group can join us." Carl does the introductions politely, covering up the unpleasant events that happened just a moment ago.

Ruby glanced at Carl's business card. "That sounds interesting."

Carl smiled broadly. "We need the right collaboration to make groundbreaking progress. With the ability we have, we promise we won't let you down." Carl puts down two documents and pushes them to Lily. "Please consider our company. We look forward to being a business partner."

Lily receives two documents and examines them briefly before handing one of them over to Ruby.

Ruby received the document and then opened the cover. Not forgetting that he authorized Lily to speak in her place while she read the documents.

Lily took over immediately. "Not a big deal. The origin of this collaboration promises to be profit. Any resource SVN needs including connection, we can provide. However, of course everything must be clear, true and fair. There can be no mistakes. I mean, you both certainly understand that a lot of small companies end up in our hands because they're not quite capable of standing next to us." Lily's intent was very clear, if they were unable to, they would not only be knocked out, but would also be swallowed.

Carl nodded. "Of course we understand. You need not worry, we are more than able to keep pace with the Diedrich Group work system. And most importantly, we're not that weak to destroy."

"Then, let our boss see what your company has to offer." Lily ended the conversation. Giving Ruby peace of mind is the point. The woman should not be disturbed while she is focused, or else the risk is enough to make her lose her salary for a few months.

Vidrian stared fixedly at the woman who was focusing on reading the document before him. For some reason, he believes Ruby is Rubika. But he will not be rash anymore. He will not repeat the same mistake just because of hope.

Vidrian too wished the woman was Rubika until rationality was gone from his brain. He never thought that other than his similar face, there was not the slightest resemblance between them.

Her rubika is a beautiful and gentle woman. She is good at cooking and loyal. The woman was an obedient housewife and never made her husband any trouble.

"Thank you for the offer, we happened to have lunch" replied Ruby, subtly declining Vidrian's offer.

"Ah, what a pity. But it's okay, there's still plenty of time in the future, we'll be waiting for good news from you." Vidrian was very calm despite having just received a rejection. Only her heartbeat rippled when she saw Ruby's charming face.

"Md. It's fine then." Ruby nodded. He placed the bag on his arm and stood up gracefully. He reached out, shaking Vidrian's hand which stood firmly in front of him. "Sir, I have something to do, if you don't mind we'll go first."

"Of course, no problem. Thank you for today." Vidrian felt the emptiness in his hands as the position of their hands slipped away. But before he dissolved his feelings again, he decided to take the initiative. "Let me drive you."

"You're a busy person, there's no need to bother doing something like this." Ruby immediately rejected Vidrian's offer without thinking twice. But a Vidrian did not accept any rejection.

"This is not at all troublesome. It's an honor for me." Vidrian invites Ruby and she fails to catch the expression of hatred in the woman's eyes.
