Chapter 5 ~ Intentionally Targeting Her

Seeing Lily move quickly and steadily while aiming at Vidrian's head, Ruby smiled slightly. "Let your guns down, honey. We're here to talk business, not to kill people. You forget, killing is illegal?" Ruby said casually, as if seeing weapons or killing was natural, as if not wanting to see the dead in front of her but implying they could handle it outside when necessary.

Lily was surprised by Ruby's words. He said unhappily, "But Madam.."

"Sit, Lily! Calm yourself." Ruby picked up her bag and placed it on the table before patting the chair beside her, hinting for Lily to obey her orders.

Lily hesitated for a moment before storing her gun and sitting obediently beside Ruby, not refuting anymore.

"Good, Lily. I'll add your bonus this month." That's what Ruby likes about Lily, which is the girl's obedience. Cruel yet submissive. Someone like Lily is all she needs to be her best friend.

Lily nodded. "Thank you, Madam. You are very generous."

Vidrian's assistant, Carl, breathed a sigh of relief after the gun was lowered. He knew his boss, Vidrian was a madman, but he did not expect anything crazier than Vidrian. That makes him nervous. He did not even get a chance to pull out his weapon and the other party was ready to take aim.

Carl was surprised to hear this. Ruby is really something. Frankly saying Vidrian was crazy, uhuk uhuk, lost his mind, should he give a compliment to the woman?

Vidrian's face blackened. Yet he framed his frustration with a small smile. "I'm sorry, I'm too emotional. I pushed myself too much. I've been acting impulsive." This time Vidrian apologized personally for his own wishes. Not only that, he even changed his language style from non-formal to formal.

From the beginning, Vidrian did not use formal language because he thought Ruby was Rubika. But when he realized the distant difference between the two women, he felt an undescribed complicated feeling.
