My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me

My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me
Chapter 37 ~ No Longer Without Purpose

Ruby is a simple woman.

He always follows the principle of not bothering himself.

Right now, she has money, beauty and a happy family. From top to bottom, it is decorated with something that a winner will have in life. Why stir up drama for himself, especially the bitter kind of drama?

He really doesn't understand.

If he knew the result would be like this, he would prefer never to return to London. Wh why? He likes a peaceful life. At least, there is no ludicrous drama about an ex-husband chasing an ex-wife.

That's too ridiculous, isn't it?

Either Vidrian or Savana, both are fine. Their lives also seemed comfortable and stable. In essence, they are content and have happy days.

The same goes for him. He also lived a good life with his new family. He is happy and most importantly, he is satisfied with this. If we bring back the past, what can we get from it? Other than pain and suffering, there was nothing left.

Really am.

So, isn't it better to bury the past and forget about it?

After getting tired of circling around with no apparent purpose, Ruby stopped her car. This is not a crowded area of people, not housing or shopping centers. It's just a roadside with not the slightest sight.

Everything that looks boring.

But isn't it the same?

Just like her?

Boring?

Otherwise, how could Xavier have taken Sean along and left him?

How ironic.

Ruby took a cigarette out of her bag and lit it.

He is not a heavy smoker. But every time he drives or is in a bad mood, he has to smoke. Maybe because it has become a habit for years so that some sticks and puffs of smoke are enough to make it fail to do reckless things.

After spending one cigarette, Ruby took her phone to answer the call. "Hello" he said.

"Don't do anything silly" said someone from behind the call.

Ruby chuckles. "Come on, I did everything to survive. And it's not easy" he said. "Are you worried about me?" coined.

How important is life? That's very important. Let's say there's nothing more important than that. Wh why? He was already on the verge of life and death. Death, really terrible.

The man behind the call laughed.

"Max, don't laugh!" exciting Ruby.

Yeah, there he is.

Max, or Maxen.

The same guy who contacted him the other day. A single man with a handsome face and unmarried despite being over the age of three heads. Also, his eternal enemies and Veronica, a trashy ex-girlfriend who cheated on him.

"I'm not laughing," she's full of lies. "I'll be there tomorrow. Can you take the time to pick me up at the airport?"

Hearing Maxen coming home, Ruby was not surprised anymore. Instead, he frowned. "Have you called Veronica?"

"Why did I contact him?"

"Hey, I'm sure you called before you called me."

The man behind the call chuckled. "Don't be jealous. I just called him before you. We don't sleep together."

"Geez, why is your brain only about sleeping with women?"

"If you like it, why not? Do I need to find a man for you? I have a lot of good-looking men by my side. You can choose whoever you like."

"No, thank you." Maxen refused quickly. Although he is a bastard, but his taste is still a woman and that reality will never change.

"Haish, look, you're so stolic."

"What is a colossus? I'm a normal guy, okay? I like women."

"If you like him, why don't you marry one of them?"

"I'm afraid you're jealous. That's it already. I'll close the call." That way, Maxen ended the call.

Hearing the sound of the call being interrupted, Ruby clucked. "Tsk tsk. Really suck," he murmured to himself. Forgetting about Maxen, Ruby saves her phone and returns to drive her car through the streets of London.

This time, he was no longer without a purpose.

He already has a place to go.

It was a fun place to spend the night. Should, yes. should be fun. But if not, at least not boring, that's enough.

Not long after, Ruby stopped her car.

In a place that seemed full of fun.

Clubs.

What else is it?

An amusement park?

Impossible.

He's not a five-year-old. Going to the amusement park to drop Sean off might be fine. But if he went alone, what for?

Ruby got out of her car and handed the key to the valet officer before stepping into the club. The place he went to was not a cafe or karaoke, nor was it a place to stay let alone discos, he planned to go to the bar.

His intention came to sit in front of the bartender and drink until drunk. Besides, he doesn't want anything else. So, the place he went to was the bar.

Because this place was so vast, and was divided into several places, he needed to walk far enough to reach it. And as soon as he arrived, he immediately sat down in front of the bartender.

"Give me a whiskey" he said. Rather than speech, it sounded more like an order. His voice was firm and without rejection. It really made people unable to ignore or reject it.

The bartender immediately looked for a suitable glass and poured whiskey into the glass and added a little water before placing it in front of Ruby. "Please," said.

Seeing how Ruby didn't seem to be doing well, the sensitive bartender couldn't possibly give her forty percent alcohol. That's why, he added a few drops of water. The goal is to convert forty percent alcohol to thirty-five percent. So that the taste of whiskey becomes more light and most importantly does not change the taste of whiskey, only changes the 'power' slightly.

Ruby grabbed her glass and drank it a little.

Not wanting to get drunk quickly, he drank it slowly. While enjoying the smell of whiskey, he stared at the bartender and soon realized that the bartender looked familiar.

Where'd he ever see her?

No. gabe.

The world is so vast. There were some people who looked similar in this world. And just because it's similar, doesn't mean he's someone he knows. Isn't that the right theory?

Stared at by Ruby with a probing gaze, the bartender asked, "Miss, what is the meaning of your gaze? Are you interested in me?" His light and calm voice did not sound like confidence, but more like inferiority.

"Do you look like the one who caught my attention?" Ruby asked back. Although not insulting, but a little scorn contained in his question.

The bartender gave a faint smile. "Of course not."

"It's good to be confident, but it's better to be self-aware" he said. Ruby is not a person with compassion. What he thought he would say without hesitation.
