My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me

My Ex-Husband Is Crazy About Me
Chapter 7 ~ No Relation

The two of them walked out of the private room. Lightly speaking, they talked about the important points Ruby wanted to emphasize to do business with him, especially about profit sharing and there should be no failure.

Just as Ruby was about to say something, her phone suddenly rang. Ruby looked at Vidrian apologetically before accepting him to answer the call. "Hello."

"Mom." The voice of the boy caught Ruby's hearing. And he failed to understand Vidrian's ugly expression which was very unhappy with the 'mom' call made by the person at the end of the call. But he did not have time to understand Vidrian, rather he did not care.

"Yes, Xavier, what's wrong?" Ruby looked back and saw Lily was also receiving a call. Based on his guess, it might be a call from America. And sure enough, it wasn't long before Lily approached her.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, call for you" Lily said, handing him the phone.

Ruby raises her hand. "Wait a minute! I'll talk to Xavier first." After that Ruby returned to focus with a call from Xavier. As he shifted his gaze, his gaze was accidentally met by Vidrian's gaze. But not wanting to see that annoying face, he shifted his gaze again.

Vidrian's originally ugly expression grew uglier. No one had ever dared to ignore her, yet the woman dared to ignore her, did she? Greatable. Real great.

"Mom, are you very busy?" ask Xavier from behind the call. He could hear a short conversation between Ruby and Lily, which meant that Ruby was very busy. But even so, he knows Ruby prioritizes herself over any appeal.

"Not really. Is there a problem?"

"There's no problem. I'm very obedient."

"good. I'll be home soon. Wait at home and don't throw a tantrum."

"Uh huh's. I get it."

"alright. Take good care of yourself and see you at home." With that one sentence, Ruby ended her call.

After saving her phone, Ruby turns around and receives a call on Lily's phone. It was a call from America, from one of his confidants, Slade. He said, there are some obstacles in the delivery of goods by sea.

Ten minutes later, the call ended. Ruby returns her phone to Lily while twitching her temple. Without explaining, Ruby knew Lily already understood the situation. But it's not a big deal. Ruby believes Slade is able to handle everything without leaving any problems behind. The man is competent and dedicated. It's just that maybe they'll lose a lot of money.

As his gaze shifted, he saw Vidrian still standing in the same place, staring at him. He thought the man was gone and he should have left already, but why was that person still here?

Realizing something had happened, Vidrian took the initiative to ask, "Is there a problem?"

Ruby shook her head slowly. "No. Let's continue the step, "he replied, indifferently. Who did Vidrian dare to ask a personal question? Idiotically.

"All right."

They continued their steps.

"Are you talking to your son?" Vidrian's masculine voice broke the silence. She had previously heard that Ruby and her late husband had two sons. But after knowing Ruby was very similar to Rubika, when she heard Ruby talking very softly to her son on the phone, there was a feeling of undescription in her heart.

"I've heard it before" he replied. His face is a little stiff. He did not know what feeling he was feeling. Whether it is anger, jealousy or envy. But maybe not all three. Because if he is really angry, jealous or envious, he is not in a place where he can feel all three emotions. It was nothing and nothing to Ruby. What reason and identity did he have to feel those three emotions?

Really ridiculous.

The situation became quiet and without feeling they had reached the entrance of the restaurant. Vidrian opens the door for Ruby. And before Ruby got into her car, she stared at Vidrian once more. "Thank you for dropping off." Ruby says this as a pleasantries. Who wants to be carried away by these bastards anyway?

"It's not a big deal" Vidrian replied.

Ruby got into the car and sat quietly in the back seat, looking out the window. While seeing Lily still making small talk with Vidrian and Carl, he waited in silence, not intending to disturb them.

"I'm sorry, then." As Lily finished her formalities, she was shocked to see a girl coming out of nowhere and suddenly hugging Vidrian. Glancing at Vidrian didn't mind it, he thought it might be his family. Not forgetting he nodded slightly before getting into the car. The next second the car moved away.

Seeing Ruby's car slowly drifting away, Vidrian's gaze became complicated. There was dissatisfaction in her heart because her instinct said Ruby was Rubika, while Ruby's rebuttal left her helpless.

He believes there are no two very similar people in this world other than identical twins. Plus research on it also mentions that the possibility of two people having the same eight facial features is less than one in a trillion people. And that's the same as out of the seven point four billion inhabitants of the earth, only one out of one hundred and thirty-five people has a doppelganger.

As for Rubika, the girl had a pretty face and to her such a beauty was rarely found. Rubika also has no twin sisters. She is the only daughter of the Hills.

Unfortunately, the Hills family suddenly disappeared. And eliminating them is very mysterious.

He had asked some people to find their whereabouts, but they disappeared like they were swallowed up by the earth. There was no sign of them anywhere. And from then on he stopped looking for them again.

Now, thanks to Ruby's appearance, Vidrian begins to think about a few things. One of them is related to the disappearance of the Hills family. If Ruby was the person behind all this, it would not be impossible if the Hills family did not leave even the slightest trace after disappearing.

Given how powerful the Diedrich family was, taking people's lives was just like killing an ant, let alone just to hide a family, it was as easy as turning a palm.

So, does he still have hope? No, the truth is, does he have no hope?

He breathed a sigh of rage.

All she wants is for Ruby to see her, know her and say she is Rubika. But that kind of thing seemed to be quite impossible considering how badly Ruby treated her.

Now what should he do?

"Daddy, Daddy, what are you looking at? Hurry up and lift me up!"

A small voice that sounded jolted Vidrian from his daydream. He looked down and saw a beautiful girl hugging and smiling sweetly at him. He lifted the girl's body and then carried her. "Who else can Daddy see besides Savana? The most beautiful savannah, how can Daddy turn away?"
