Chapter 9 ~ Greetings In Diedrich Company

"Madam, we've arrived" Lily said as the car pulled up in front of the company. His slow voice broke the silence. He glanced at Ruby through the rearview mirror and only found the tired face of his boss.

Ruby nodded small. He pinched between his eyebrows and his gaze moved out the window. Looking at the crowd in front of the company, he looked at Lily, slightly threatening.

"Sorry, Madam. It's my fault." Lily lowered her head, feeling extremely guilty for the commotion made by Grissham Gladwin. But he said firmly so that there was no welcome. But look what the damned man did? Is he tired of living?

Ruby looked at Lily for three seconds before saying, "This is the last time. No other time." Although this is a big mistake, but Ruby knows this is not entirely Lily's fault. I can't blame Lily for what happened.

Lily smiled little. "Thank you, Madam."

Ruby nodded before getting out of the car.

Red carpet is stretched. Some people lined up neatly to welcome Ruby's arrival. Although a little uncomfortable, Ruby still maintained her calm face.

Ruby gave a small nod then walked down the red carpet with Lily behind her. Her beautiful face was very intoxicating. His charm is undeniable. The twenty-nine year old lady was truly beautiful and elegant. Her hair is long and tied high in the back. The formal attire attached to her body as well as the expensive bag hanging in her hand, showed how rich and powerful a Diedrich Ruby was.

As if the world was within his grasp, some people praised him inwardly. To think that the owners of Diedrich Group were dazzling. But who would dare to dream about the big boss of the Diedrich Group? They did not even dare to breathe for fear of offending the woman.

After reaching the end of the red carpet, Grissham Gladwin greeted Ruby with a friendly. "Welcome, Madam. Is your trip fun?" Grissham was a fifty year old man. But since Mr. Osvaldo died, although the highest floor was always cleaned, no one really occupied it until finally Osvaldo Diedrich's wife, Ruby Diedrich came.

Ruby walked into her room and ten minutes passed without feeling. And within ten minutes, Ruby was getting used to the room. The room he knew belonged to Osvaldo, now he occupied it. 

How lucky he is to still be able to enjoy the world Osvaldo created. Thanks to the man, Ruby once again got the happiness that no one in the world could give her.

Unfortunately, the man no longer exists.

Ruby sat in her chair looking at a picture of Osvaldo on the table. The photo was deliberately brought from America because he was afraid he would miss Osvaldo if he did not see his face. Although it was only a picture, the man seemed to be in front of him. Smiled sweetly at him, and stared as if he was the man's most precious treasure.

Lily knocked on the door and walked into Ruby's study after not getting a response from within. He found the woman reading the documents. "You have a meeting with the CEO of Adelard's company at two o'clock in the afternoon, ma'am," Lily put a document on the table. 

"You're giving me more paperwork, are you tired of living?" Ruby said without taking her eyes off the document she was reading. There was a stack of documents that he had not even checked, but Lily came and gave the documents again. Just one is not finished, then when will he finish it all? Should he not sleep again tonight?

Lily smiled little. "You know best I'm tired of living or not" Lily answered boldly. He tidied up Ruby's desk and placed a small box there.

Ruby glanced at a glance. "What's that?" 

Lily opened the box. "This is the ring you ordered." It was a fifteen-carat diamond ring that Ruby ordered at her request a few days before returning to London. They had only arrived a moment ago but this ring was already here. Velline, the jewelry designer really knows who the boss is.

Ruby did not respond to Lily's words. He knew Velline was very reliable. In all aspects, whether it is in terms of design, quality or price, all the jewelry that the person designed, is perfect.

Lily did not speak anymore either. Ignored, is the thing Lily gets most from Ruby. He turned away. But before reaching the door he turned his head back, looking at Ruby. "Don't forget about the meeting later, ma'am. You have ten minutes left from now."

Ruby glanced at her watch that was no longer circular on her wrist. The expensive item was lying on the table after he took it off because it was too annoying. "There's still forty minutes before two in the afternoon, Lily."

Ruby's voice made Lily who was about to come out, cancel doing so. He turned around and walked back towards Ruby. "Ten minutes by which I mean your preparation before departure. The remaining thirty minutes were the journey to the meeting place. If I count it correctly, it's forty minutes. We, the people who work for the Diedrich Group, really appreciate the time." 

Ruby lips curl naturally. "That's right, those of us who dedicate our time and energy to the Diedrich Group value time very much. But if I remember correctly, didn't you say the meeting would be held at this company?" So why did thirty minutes get spent on the trip? It only takes a few minutes to reach the meeting room in this building. 

"No, Mistress. I said the meeting would be held outside, "Lily replied eloquently, there is not the slightest trace of lies there. He said in the car when he left the restaurant, with a bad heart, Ruby clearly did not hear what he said.
