When Savana came out of the bathroom, Vidrian opened his eyes. Savana walked up to him and said, "You awake, Dadd? You took my bed last night. You don't want to say anything?" Once this problem is lifted, there is no turning back. Savannah will never let go.
Vidrian who was thinking about Ruby, his daydream gasped. He looked towards the source of the voice and saw Savana putting a hand on his waist and looking at him in a ready scolding style.
But instead of being afraid, Vidrian was comforted.
This daughter is adorable.
Vidrian forced himself to sit down. "I'm sorry" he said. He knew his daughter was angry, that's why as a man, even if it wasn't his fault, he was ready to be blamed and ready for punishment.
"You seem insincere?" Savanna. To be honest, it wasn't just an apology she needed. But more than that.
"I'm very sincere. Can't you see it?" Vidrian was acting stupid despite knowing there was a price he had to pay. Whether it was eating pizza or fast-food chicken flour, he felt better pretending not to know.
"To show your sincerity, are you sure an apology is enough?" Savana started putting up bait. Like a professional angler, he patiently waits for the fish to grab the bait.
Vidrian rolled his eyeballs, pretending to think. "Umm.. What if I take you to school today? The offer wasn't bad, was it?"
"Not needed" replied Savana, firmly. Every day, Vidrian drives her to school. So why offer him that stale offer? He thinks he's easy to fool?
"What about cooking?"
"No, no."
"Go to the amusement park?"
"That's not either. We were gone two weeks ago and I was so exhausted afterwards. Can't you think of something simple and not get tired?" Like a professional, Savana guided Vidrian to the bait he provided. But if it does not happen, he will force her to come and if necessary force her to bite the bait as well.
Sometimes, coercion was the right thing to deal with a shameless person like his father.
"Then, what do you want?" Vidrian has not given up. He was just looking at what cheap tricks the Savannah was using.
"Daddy, you're an adult, don't you have to respect women as a grown man? You'll be sad if you make a woman unhappy. Shouldn't you give me something that makes me happy?"
"Then, what makes you happy?"
"Take me somewhere for example."
"What kind of place do you want to visit? Mall, beach, beauty salon?"
Savana shook her head. "Ish ish ish.. Daddy, you really don't understand women in the slightest" he said dismissively.
"All right, it's my fault. I'm sorry."
"If you already know what your mistake is, can you take me to Pizza Hut as an apology?" Since Vidrian did not also take the bait even after he thrust it tenaciously, he could only cram the bait into his mouth.
Whether because his father was too stupid or insensitive, more than that, maybe he deliberately did not bite him because he was reluctant to take him to eat junk food.
What a lousy old man.
Not understanding the pleasure of young people.
"Pizza Hut?" Vidrian pretended to be surprised upon hearing Savana's words. As he had expected, Savana was squeezing him so that he could eat junk food. Something he couldn't allow. Even just for once a week, he would not let it.
Savannas must maintain a healthy diet as recommended by nutritionists. That's why all the food that goes into his stomach is arranged in such a way, can not be arbitrary, can not be careless.
What he did was for his own good.
But how could Savanna understand?
"Yes, Daddy. I want to eat pizza. All my friends came with his mom and dad to eat pizza. Can we do that too?" Savana had her best sad expression. An expression that usually worked resplendently to melt his father's heart.
The heart breaking style, this should be the most powerful. That's why Savana doesn't hesitate to use it to make Vidrian crisp.
Vidrian was stunned for a moment before saying. "Only this time. Not next time." You don't even have to think twice about agreeing to it. Being a single parent, sometimes he is sad if Savana says this and that about his friends. Especially if it's about a pretty sensitive topic, a mother.
As a man who couldn't give Savana a mother, Vidrian's weakness was just that.
He is rich, young, healthy and respected. As a child, Savana should have been proud and content to have a cool father like him.
But still, a healthy environment for a child to grow and develop is the presence of a complete parent. Mom and Dad, then sister. No matter how great he was, he could not possibly hold a dual position as a father and mother. And no matter how hard he tried to make up for his shortcomings by indulging the Savanna with material, it was still not enough. The girl still needs her mother.
That's what worries him.
Sometimes he even thinks that he failed to become a father because of his inability to look after his family. Otherwise, Savanna's mother is unlikely to leave. Now that Savanna's mother had become Lady Diedrich, how difficult it was to pull her back to her side.
Most likely, he would never even be able to do so.
If it's like this, what can he do? What's he supposed to do?
He doesn't know anymore.
Really am.
Savana smiled slightly when she managed to deceive her father. If Vidrian knew Savana's bad intentions, Vidrian might have thrown the unlucky girl under the bus.
While happiness flowed in the Christensen residence, the opposite happened in Diedrich's residence.
At the residence of Diedrich, the atmosphere at the dining table felt different.
Either because he is too sensitive or what, but Ruby feels Xavier's view is not as warm as usual.
Ruby turns off her phone before walking towards Xavier and kissing his forehead, then walks up to Sean and does the same before sitting in his chair.
"Good morning" said Ruby. He looked at his two sons closely and indeed found a difference from Xavier. But he did not expose it.
Even one night may not be enough to accept the reality.
Ruby herself knew she was wrong. That is why he will give space, as much space as needed and the time needed, he will give it without hesitation.
"Good morning, Mom." Xavier and Sean answered in unison.
"Are you guys sleeping well?" ask Ruby.
"M." This time Sean answered.
Silence for a while.
"Mom," call Xavier.
"Yes?"
"I've been thinking."
Ruby nodded. "Tell me." Face relaxed. He was ready to hear whatever Xavier said. Whether it's a request or something, he's ready to comply, everything, whatever it is.
"Me and Sean are going back to America first. We miss Daddy, so we're gonna go spread flowers there."
