Only I Love

Only I Love
Chapter 52

Rafatar looked at the employee with eyes that emitted panic and confusion. "Company?" repeat with a vibrating sound.

The employee nodded quickly. "Yes, right Boss. They have received reports from Umrah participants who feel aggrieved. They claim that our company has done the pen!puan and pengg3lapan dana. The prosecution sent a team to investigate the case."

Rafatar felt his body weaken. He tries to piece together his chaotic thoughts and tries to find a way to deal with this increasingly complicated situation.

"Other employees, do they know about this situation?" rafatar asked with a trembling voice.

"Some people have heard the news about the chaos of our company. They're worried and anxious, Boss. Some of them even started looking for new jobs."

Rafatar feels his world is about to collapse. He pondered for a moment, trying to find a way out of this state. Ala who was outside the room felt the uneasiness of her husband. He wanted to come over and provide support, but felt helpless.

"Tell the prosecutor's team that I am ready to cooperate fully" Rafatar said in a low voice. "Tell them that I'll be out soon."

The employee nodded and immediately left to report the news to the prosecution team.

Rafatar took a deep breath. He felt such a heavy pressure on his shoulders. He knew that the challenges he faced were so great, and the road to take would be difficult and long.

Ala, who was still waiting outside the room, tried to control her anxiety. She clasped her hands tightly and prayed in her heart, begging her husband to be strong in the face of all this.

When her husband came out of the room, Ala immediately hugged him. "She, you can definitely get through this. I'll always be there for Uda." Ala held warm to give encouragement to the man she loved.

However, Rafatar, who was in a panic, just nodded and took off his wife's arms without saying anything. He immediately headed out of the building, where the prosecution team was waiting for him, as the person most responsible for all of these matters.

Rafatar walked with heavy strides towards the prosecution team waiting for him outside the company building. He felt his heartbeat speed up, and his mind was filled with anxiety and uncertainty.

The assembled prosecution team looked at Rafatar seriously. They brought the files and evidence on which their investigation was based.

"Good day, Mr. Rafatar," said a member of the prosecutor's team in a calm voice. "We from the State Prosecutor's Office have received reports from some Umrah participants who feel aggrieved by your company. We're going to conduct an investigation to uncover the truth in this case."

Rafatar swallows spit. He tried to control himself and remained calm before the prosecution team. "I am ready to fully co-operate on this investigation. I hope to help clarify any discrepancies that may exist."

The prosecution team nodded in appreciation of Rafatar's cooperation attitude. They began asking questions and digging information related to the activities of the company and the management of Umrah participants' funds.

Meanwhile, Ala who was still inside the company building, sat in front of the television. She watched with concern the news that was being broadcast about the chaos that was engulfing her husband's company. His face was filled with a mixed expression of worry, sadness, and strength to keep supporting Rafatar.

She clutched her mobile phone, ready to provide as much support as she could to her husband.

[Uda, the spirit yes. You can definitely face it. ]

[I'll stay by your side, honey. We will go through this challenge together. ]

While Rafatar is undergoing an investigation at the prosecutor's office, he is trying to provide an honest and transparent answer. Despite the uncertainty and pressure surrounding her, she hoped that the truth would be revealed and the matter could be resolved fairly.

Ala, on the other hand, offered prayers in her heart. She hoped that her husband's strength and courage would not fade, and that they would be able to pass this test together, with the integrity and strength of unwavering love.

Meanwhile, after intensive questioning by the prosecution, Rafatar was adjudged to be temporarily detained to ensure the continuity of the ongoing investigation. It's a huge blow for Rafatar.

[Dear, I have to go with them. You go home first, right? Don't worry and don't stress. I'm innocent, and pray for me that everything unfolds. You and our son are fine. Ilove you. ]

Ala read the message, her tears just flowing.

[Uda, when do you come home? I also love Uda. We'll be waiting for you at home. ]

However, this time the message is only marked with a check mark of one gray color.

Ala's body shook. Ala was crying alone in her husband's office. Behind him, no one dared to approach.

One night after Rafatar's arrest, Ala gently rubbed the abdomen that contained their fetus.

"Darling, Umma misses your papa so much. What if we see your dad there tomorrow? Hopefully we can meet up and make sure your father's condition is fine."

On the other hand, Rafatar was huddled behind prisoners inside the prosecutor's building. "Oh my God, I'm sure I can deal with all this. You promised not to test Your servant beyond his means, right?"

"O Allah, take care of the wife and the baby in her womb. I miss him so much." Rafatar was no longer able to contact anyone, as his phone was also seized.

Rafatar buried his face in his own embrace.

Ala wanted to comfort her husband. All the messages and calls to Rafatar, none of them came in. Ala decides to try to meet Rafatar who is being held at the investigation institute. She felt that her presence might provide emotional support for her husband, as well as provide strength and encouragement to deal with these difficult times.

With a pounding heart, Ala goes to the prosecutor's office where Rafatar is being held. She hopes to convince authorities to allow her to meet with her husband, though she is aware that rules and procedures may not allow that to happen.

After going through the security process and questioning from the officers at the agency, Ala was finally placed in the waiting room. He felt tense and anxious, not knowing what would happen next. He held his slightly turbulent stomach, feeling his family bond feel increasingly fragile in this situation.

Moments later, an officer came to Ala. He said he was not allowed to meet Rafatar in person.

"Why can't you, sir? I beg you, my permission to see my husband" said Ala with a clear face.

"Sorry, Mom. It's already a rule. No one was able to meet the prosecutor's arrest" the officer said firmly.

A sense of sadness and disappointment flashed across Ala's face. He tried to toughen up, but, tears inevitably flowed down his cheeks.

"Please tell my husband that his wife is here. Can you help me deliver this letter? Please tell me that I will always trust him and support him even if the world has turned to him" Ala quipped in a shaken voice.

The officer nodded with understanding. He promised to deliver Ala's message to Rafatar. Although she could not meet in person, there was at least a way to send a message of love and support to her husband.

Ala came out of the prosecutor's building with a heavy heart. For a moment he stared at the building with his sad face. He felt a deepening emptiness.
