Only I Love

Only I Love
Chapter 64

After hearing Venna's loud words, Ala felt her heart break.

"Alright, Ma. I'm gonna get out of this house."

Ala walked towards their room with nervous steps. He opened the closet and picked up the clothes he needed. Every little movement of his was filled with sadness and despair.

"Mom Venna, why are you so to my son?" tanya Ummi frowned.

Venna simply threw away her unmoved face in response to her besieged question.

"Well Ala, you don't seem to be appreciated in this place. Your sister is here too. If you need help, Ummi will call him."

"No need to Ummi. I'll finish everything myself" Ala smiled bitterly.

Within a few minutes, Ala gathered her belongings and put them in a bag. His heart was filled with a mixture of feelings of sadness, anger, and disappointment. He walked out of the room with weak steps.

Venna was still sitting on the sofa with a face filled with hubris. She looked at Ala who was carrying her bag cynically.

"You finally understand. Leave immediately and never come back" he said coldly.

"All right, I'll go, Ma. But remember, I still love this boy and Uda Rafatar. And Ama must also know, I will protect this baby in my womb as best I can."

Ala stepped towards the door with a heavy heart. He looked at Ummi who was standing next to him with a face full of worry.

"Ummi, I'll be fine. Thank you for everything" Ala said with a bitter smile.

Ummi nodded his head. His hand took over the bag that was in Ala's grasp. "Anyway, you are the son of Ummi. Ummi's son is strong and you are the one chosen to receive this test."

Ala nodded lethargicly and opened the door. With mixed feelings, she stepped out of the house she once considered a safe place. In his heart, he harbored the hope that Rafatar was there and blocked his move to leave this place. However, her husband's nose was invisible. His vehicle was no longer parked in the usual place when he came home from the office.

'Okay, Uda. We will continue this decision when this child is born. Whether it will end, or it will continue, ' his mind is in fret.

"Assalamualaik." Rafatar knocked on the door. But there is no answer at all.

'What happened?' his inner.

Suddenly, he remembered something bad. He hurriedly tried to find the key in his hand. Nervously he imagined his wife falling unconscious.

"Darling? Darling?" Rafatar managed to open the door of the house hurriedly entered and turned on the lights one by one. He went into the room, into the bathroom, the kitchen, the whole house. However, not a single shadow of Ala he found in the silence tonight.

Then, he looked back trying to remember what had happened. His head was full of worries about the fate of his son, which showed poor development based on diagnosis.

Suddenly, Rafatar was gaping, he only realized his attitude lately and the mother's hunch that made him sick. "Astaghfirullah, what did I do to my wife?"

Rafatar was empty to see the silence that enveloped the room. That quiet atmosphere reminded him of the warmth and excitement he had just lost.

"Honey, where are you going? What did Ama tell you that you decided to leave this house without telling me?The house that used to be filled with laughter and jokes, now feels lonely and empty without you present here," he muttered stunned.

Rafatar immediately stepped outside his house. His heart hunts for control of the car towards the home of his parents. His heart was filled with anxiety and unanswered questions.

With ease Rafatar who has the keys to his parents' house barged in on a house that is still bright. From the direction of the middle room, there was a sound of television that was still burning indicating that the person in this house was still awake even though the night was so late.

He continued his steps into the living room, and saw Venna welcoming him with a stern look that portrayed disappointment and anger.

"Ma... What did Ama do to my wife? Why did he leave our house?"

Venna looked at Rafatar coldly, exuding an uncaring attitude.

"Ama has made up her mind. Ama does not want if the fact that our child will be born disabled. If she still wants to continue to give birth to the child, you better split up instead of having to put this family to shame!"
