An arrow shot out from the bow that Emune was holding. Very fast and straight forward. As soon as the arrow sped, Aiden mounted his horse and followed behind.
The target was about three hundred meters away. Aiden smile. He pulled out the arrows and cloth that were used as target markers.
Arriving at Alfred's place, he got off the horse and showed off the target cloth earlier. Emune flabbergasted. The black mark on the cloth indicates the position of Emune's arrow, the arrow stuck right in the middle.
“You're great, Emune!” exclamation Elric. He hugged Emune excitedly.
“Oh! I must have dreamed!” emune in Elric's arms.
“You're sure this is the first time you've shot?” ask Sean.
“Emune, female knight from Ulrych!” exclaim Aiden.
“I can,” murmured Emune. His numb hands were only felt now.
“You're a true archer, Emune. The more you practice, the better you will be able to shoot even in the dark, like Elric,”.
“Thank you.” Emune clasped Alfred's hand with overflowing feelings of joy.
Elric actually wanted to kiss Emune but because his friends were there, he said. He could be made fun of by them.
“Elric, teach Emune riding. There is no harm, Emune will be very helpful if he can take care of himself if there is an ambush like that night,” said Alfred.
Elric nodded. The attack that night was terrible. If they were not trained, they would have been lifelessly slaughtered by those assassins.
“Which horse will you wear?” ask Sean.
Emune walked in front of four horses that had eaten well and had been fitted with saddles. He passed Draxe, also the next two horses. He stopped in front of the fourth horse.
“Crazy,” hiss Sean. He elbowed Aiden.
“Disaster,” murmured Aiden.
“Emune, you ride Draxe only yes.” Elric pulled Emune but Emune did not move. He stared at the fourth horse without blinking.
“I want this one,” says Emune.
“This is Brix, Alfred mount. None of us can ride it,” whispered Elric on Emune.
“Alfred forbid?” ask Emune astonished.
“Not, this horse does not want to be ridden by anyone other than Alfred,” Elric is now really panicked. Nay! What if Emune gets thrown in the air like me and Sean? Or get kicked to the ground like Aiden?
“Elric, stop whispering. Let Emune try it,” Hardik Alfred.
Elric backed off regularly. He joins Sean and Aiden. The three looked anxiously at Emune. Only Alfred sat leisurely on the big rock.
Emune stared at the black stallion in front of him. The horse was a superior race and only a large castle had it. Emune extended her right hand. Gently he placed it on Brix's forehead. The horse's forehead was warm.
“Brix, I'm Emune. Nice to meet you,” Emune said with a smile. Emune walked to the side, stroking the black horse's mane. A gallant and well-groomed horse, thought Emune.
The horse nodded slowly. Emune patted Brix's back that wasn't covered in a saddle. Emune was in an instant already sitting on the saddle and holding the horse harness.
“How about we take a little walk, Brix?” ask Emune on the horse. As it understood, Brix started walking carrying Emune away from there.
Elric, Aiden and Sean couldn't believe what they saw. Brix wants to be ridden by someone other than Alfred? A new man and a woman? Crazy one!
Alfred laughed at the three young men. “If Emune could conquer Elric, he could definitely conquer Brix. Lesson for you, gentleness is sometimes much stronger than a sword,” he said casually.
Elric, Aiden and Sean shook their heads slowly. Emune is amazing. Not only Alfred, his horse was subject to the will of the girl.
“Why did you suddenly teach him archery and horse riding?” ask Sean.
Alfred scolded. “He was the only one who paid me with a bottle of apple cider,” he said amusedly.
The three young men scratched their heads and laughed out loud. A bottle of apple cider is a strange payday for a great trainer like Alfred.
Emune's driving around the hill with Brix. He screamed loudly in delight as Brix ran. The smile did not disappear from his face when he returned to his original place. Elric helped him down.
Emune hugged Brix's neck. “Thank you,” whispered to that horse. Brix neighs in return.
Alfred finished the lesson that day so Elric took Emune to the little cottage. The two's departure is accompanied by the singing of Sean and Aiden who seduce them.
Emune laughed amusedly. He was embarrassed but did not expect that Elric's face could also be flushed with embarrassment.
“So, what do you want to tell me?” elric asked as they were already inside the cottage.
“Elric, i ..” Emune stopped for a moment. His heart said honesty would make things easier. He then continued, “Aku .. a king's daughter,” he said slowly.
Emune's heart is getting stronger. He was preparing to hear Elric laugh. Elric must think of me as a silly girl who's too much of a joke.
“I know,” replied Eric calmly. Elric just smiled and hugged his lover warmly.
Emune. Eric know? How could he know? Emune doesn't want to make her own conclusions so she insists that Elric talk to her. “How can you know?”
Elric let go of his embrace. He and Emune now sat and looked at each other with serious faces. Elric smiled at Emune, “Try to take out the contents of your bag,” he said with glittering eyes.
Emune hesitated for a moment then placed a small bag made by Aunt Mary on the bench. He pulled the rope and let Elric see the contents. What is Elric looking for?
Elric stretched out his hand and took out one of the many things that were there. Emune squealed softly. Elric was holding his magical little book! Elric can see it?
“Who gave you this book?” ask Elric. Elric understood that Emune was surprised because he could see the booklet. He himself wondered how Emune could have it.
“Lord Berham, we went to Berham castle back then. He told me to read a book after he gave this one to me. Viona and Greg couldn't see it. Why can it be so, yes?” ask Emune.
“Book of Wisdom. This was one of the few magical items given by the Elf King to the Great King Orsgadt. This book can only be seen by the descendants of the king,” Elric explained.
“Book of Wisdom. Are you the king's descendant?” ask Emune. He looked at Elric. Unlike his shabby self, Elric is indeed suitable to be called the descendant of the king.
Elric returned the booklet to the bag and handed it to Emune. He sat down and held Emune's hand. He did not want to hug Emune while they were talking about this.
It's very important. This lover was either conscious or not carrying a very heavy burden, not only for the freedom of Orsgadt but also for the whole of Artamea.
“I'm King Eimersun's youngest son.” Elric paused for a moment as Emune gasped and covered his mouth with his hands.
“Really?” Emune grimaced because he remembered Urndie had mentioned about the king's son from the sun-drenched country.
“True. Unlike the other kingdoms, in Eimersun the eldest son of the king will inherit the throne. It doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl. It was such a relief, my sister would definitely become a great queen. He will like you,” Elric said with a smile.
Emune clasped Elric's hand. “You really don't want that throne?”
“No. I prefer to support the ruler of Eimersun but remain free to go anywhere. My mom doesn't like me hanging around but as long as Alfred, Aiden and Sean are coming along, she's not so worried.”
“Alfred and the others are noble families?” ask Emune.
Elric smiling. “Alfred is a descendant of a hereditary nobleman who became a military trainer, specifically for the royal family. Sean and Aiden are my cousins. You could say the four of us are a group of men who prefer nature rather than being confined in the palace.”
Emune looked down sad. “I don't know what kind of palace. Was it so strange that you stayed away from her?”
“No. The Eimersun Palace is very beautiful. It's just that I'd rather go around Artamea. I think my mom will be very happy if we get married later and I'm not going anywhere because I don't want to be away from you.”
Emune smiled amusedly at the thought of Elric's mother passing out to see Elric marry the slum Emune. “Do I deserve to be your wife? I'm a descendant of a king who currently has no kingdom, no palace, not even I know if I can take Orsgadt or not.”
Elric's right hand went up to Emune's cheek. “You don't need to be a princess or a queen to make you worthy of being my wife. You're the one I love.”
They finally embraced as well. Emune felt a drop of tears fall on her cheek. He immediately removed it. “What does Alfred know? Sean and Aiden?”
“No. I'd rather keep it to myself. Your journey is very difficult, at least we can take care of you in case of danger. I originally wanted to persuade you to release Orsgadt and come to Eimersun with me but after seeing you earlier, you look like Queen Sherenea, one of the great queens in our kingdom.”
Emune laughed a little. “You're kidding.”
“No. Somehow I imagined you riding a warhorse, wearing a harness and ready with a drawn sword. It's ridiculous.”
Elric didn't think it was too ridiculous actually. If Emune demands his throne then war could happen. It was only if Emune could build a great power against Orsgadt's army.
“Hahaha, that's overkill. I myself cannot imagine how to deal with Goenhrad. I just kept going forward because not a single bit could forget how my family was slaughtered. Voispir showed it to me.” Emune's hands were shaking. His eyes could still see the blood spilled and the heartbreaking screams of his family and the people of Orsgadt fighting Goenhrad.
Elric hugged Emune even tighter. No one can imagine such a thing. Elric was a kid at the time. He doesn't know anything.
All seemed mediocre and Eimersun was always at peace as he lived in the palace. Though the kingdom next to it, the oldest kingdom, was in turmoil. He remembers his father often sitting quietly while staring westward at night.
“What will you do, my dear beloved?” ask Elric.
The wind interrupted their conversation for a moment. Emune took a deep breath and exhaled. “I will seize Orsgadt with these two small arms,” he said steadily.
