The Eye of the Heart Goenhrad

Long before Elzenthum appeared, being confined to a hall when war was going on out there was not Goenhrad's choice. He felt his anger held in his chest because of Yhourin's decision to keep him here. The great battle was indeed unbalanced because he had Anthura and Korta but he felt himself very cowardly because he did not show the nose on the battlefield.

His body felt sore because the two women he took the light of his life was very troublesome. Maybe too much smoke of hallucinatory incense, he thought. The third woman, no, she deserves to be called a girl because of her young age. There was something about that woman that made Goenhrad feel different today.

The girl did not seem to be affected by the hallucinatory smoke her men used to give her before being taken to her place. After the two adult women died, the girl curled up in the corner of the room while hugging her knees. As Goenhrad grabbed her hand, the girl's face looked up and those beautiful, teary eyes seemed to pierce her heart.

There have been so many beautiful women become the collision of red eyes but only this time there is something that makes it fixated long enough. He helped the girl stand up. He sat her down on a large table and stared at her unblinkingly. Goenhrad astonished himself at his current attitude. It becomes too soft on its prey.

Goenhrad's index finger traced the girl's pretty face. Keep going down, examine the white neck level and up to his chest. Goenhrad's large hand holding the chest of the girl's dress suddenly stopped moving. Two trembling little hands were being cupped on the back of his hand that was ready to tear off the girl's clothes. The king who could never be obstructed by anything immediately looked at the girl's face questioningly.

“Your Highness, I am only a poor poor girl who is miserable,” said the girl slowly. He seemed to have painstakingly gathered his courage to speak. “Is ... will servants die like them?” his tananya sad then gulped.

“Ya,” Goenhrad replied. This is the first time there is a prey that is aware and dare to invite him to speak.

“Hamba has never been touched by any man. Can I beg you to be treated gently?” The girl sobbed slowly. “Only that was the last plea of the servant, Your Majesty,” he said again with a soft look.

Goenhrad cursed himself who became very flabby at the request and cries of a girl. After all, the girl would die after this. The bad side wanted to laugh at the girl and instantly kill her but the good side that had been suspended suddenly appeared and told her to agree to the girl's last wish.

“I grant,” says Goenhrad. He hardly believed his own words.

Goenhrad lifted the girl's body and sat her down on the table with a soft pile of cloth. Before he had never touched any woman like he touched Yhourin but this time he treated the girl in front of him like he was peppering with her.

There was a different feeling in Goenhrad when he touched the girl. He felt he was an ordinary man, not a feared or evil king who messed up the whole country. He is a man who shares his love with the girl he wants.

The screeching and sighing of the virgin girl who had just felt the warmth of the man and the tightness in Goenhrad's chest reached its peak then Goenhrad hugged the girl tightly. He could feel tears soaking his chest because the girl's face was stuck there.

“What's your name?” ask Goenhrad. This was the first time he cared about the name of a woman other than Yhourin.

“Felicia,” replied the girl was weak. His body felt crumbled by the king but his embrace at this time made him feel comfortable. “Hamba is ready, Your Majesty,” said Felicia, resignedly waiting for death who will pick him up.

Goenhrad's jaw hardened, he clenched one of his hands on Felicia's back. He looked down and kissed Felicia's lips as if he was not satisfied. It's very strange but he doesn't want Felicia to die.

The arrival of Yhourin with unstoppable anger stopped him. Goenhrad was still hugging Felicia as Yhourin threw the two of them into the hall wall. Goenhrad's instinct to protect the girl suddenly appeared. He protected Felicia's head and body with his two burly arms. Upon seeing the girl motionless, Goenhrad felt that his soul was half gone.

Yhourin hugged and kissed her before she returned to the main tower of Orsgadt's palace but Goenhrad felt nothing. His heart was filled with Felicia. He ran over to Felicia who was lying on the floor. He raised the girl's body carefully and placed it on her lap. As soon as the girl's eyes opened, Goenhrad involuntarily shed tears.

“We are still alive,” said Felicia weakly while smiling gently.

“Yes, we're alive,” says Goenhrad. He leaned against the wall while holding Felicia. This warm feeling was very comfortable according to him.

If he could, he would ask forgiveness to be allowed to live by Elizai. He wanted to take Felicia all the way from Orsgadat. He grinned, ashamed of his own expectations. His sins were already too much, only death could erase him.

Goenhrad and Felicia drank water from the same golden cup. They don't talk. Only a serenity enveloped the two of them. Suddenly Goenhrad felt his left eye in excruciating pain. He dropped Felicia off his carrier and moved away. He did not want to hurt the girl.

Goenhrad's agonizing roar scared Felicia. He could only see the man holding his left eye while fresh blood flowed through his between fingers. Unable to hold back for long, Felicia desperately approached the kneeling Goenhrad and hugged him from the front. The two fell to the floor when Goenhrad fainted.

Felicia wiped her tears. She tore off the edge of her dress and wiped the blood flowing from the king's left eye. He was very frightened when he saw two women who were with him strangled by the king but he was sure, the man who touched and protected him from collisions with the wall was not the same person. He felt sorry for her.

Goenhrad sat down, holding his head in pain. His left eye no longer hurt. His eyelids opened slowly and he could see Felicia in front of him. Like being struck by a sword, his chest ached when he realized that his left eye had returned like a normal human eye.

That means Yhourin is dead. Yhourin ....

Goenhrad hugged Felicia and again shed tears. A dozen years with Yhourin and now he leaves her to go to the realm of eternity. As awakened from the dream, Goenhrad quickly stood up. He pulled Felicia's arm and led her to the room next to the king's room. He sat the girl on the edge of the bed.

“Felicia, no matter what happens, don't get out of this room. Eimersun's army won't hurt you. Tell me that I haven't touched you and left you in a hurry,” Goenhrad said.

“But ...” Felicia was nervous, scared and confused.

“My end is near but I want you to live.” Goenhrad stroked Felicia's cheek. “If you are pregnant with our child and he was born safely, say his father was Knight Frennel who died during this war. Don't ever tell anyone about me, including our son. May he be as good as his mother.”

“Why not just run?” Felicia's face was begging.

Goenhrad stroked Felicia's cheek. “This time I can't run. I have to make up for all my mistakes. Look, you have to live. Promise me,” pinta Goenhrad.

Felicia nodded. Her tears started to flow. “I promise.”

Goenhrad gave Felicia a small bag of gold pieces and jewels. “Sorry I can't take care of you. Be happy always, Feliciaku,” said Goenhrad. He kissed Felicia's lips and forehead and rushed out of the room. Goenhrad's ears could hear Felicia's sobs before the door closed.

Goenhrad ran towards the tower of Orsgadt in the northeast. He cursed himself who was too late to realize how precious the feeling of calm and peace was. Felicia changed it in just an instant. He can't back off anymore. If his death had indeed arrived then he would not be daunted by it.
