The dagger slid to the ground to the left of Emune's head. A dead poisonous scorpion was stabbed at the end of a knife. The scorpion moved for a moment to die and then remained silent. The figure released the dead scorpion and threw it towards the bushes.
The black figure lowered his head behind Emune and began to unpack Emune's small bag. He did not seem to find what he was looking for. The figure rushed away when it heard a voice from where Daniela and Mineda were sunbathing while sleeping.
Mineda woke up first. He opened his eyes and saw that Daniela was still sleeping. His head felt heavy but thirst and hunger forced him to sit down. Her soaked clothes were completely dry as well as her body. While cross-legged Dania's shoulder was gently shaken.
“Daniea, wake.”
Daniela just yawned in response. He turned his back on Mineda. Mineda patted Daniaea's ass while continuing to say “wake up, wake up, wake” in her friend's ear until she finally opened her eyes and tried to sit down.
“Oh...I must have been asleep for a long time.” He saw the mineda showing off his naughty grin. “Yes, like a rock but snoring,” Mineda's tease. Daniela glares, “I don't snore. It is very disrespectful that a girl sleeps down,” her protest.
Mineda laughs. He rose up leaving Daniela still pouting.
“I don't snore right?” daniea asked again in a louder voice. Mineda did not answer. He was already half as far as where Emune was. Daniela wakes up staggered. While yawning his hand grabbed the cloth that was the bed and then walked to Emune's place.
“Try to see, Emune is fast asleep. How about we decorate his face with charcoal?”
“You are so naughty. It was late afternoon and we missed lunch. I'm hungry once.”
“Emune doesn't usually sleep like this. Must be because of a long soak,” said Mineda. He shook Emune's shoulder. Emune didn't move at all. Mineda shook it again. Still no response from Emune.
“Why does Emune not move?” ask Daniela. He just took off his water bag. Daniela tried to feel Emune's breath by putting the back of her hand in front of Emune's nose. He sighed, “He was just fast asleep,” he said in relief.
While waiting for Emune to wake up, the two girls changed into clothes and drank honey water. They feel fresher now. Mineda had put all the provisions on their seat. Bread, butter, cheese and fruits look so good. Just as Daniela was biting her bread, Emune woke up with a groan. Just like Mineda and Daniela, she seemed heavy enough to open her eyes.
Mineda thrust a wooden cup filled with honey water at Emune. “Drink to make you feel fresher.”
Emune opened her eyes, smiling at Mineda. “I must have slept,” murmured while reaching for a cup and then sipped some honey water. “Aaaah. Another cup, please,” the door.
Both of his friends laughed. They seemed to see their struggle to expel drowsiness when they saw Emune. This was the first time they had all fallen asleep until the afternoon. Fortunately, no one wanted to come to this waterfall other than the three of them. The residents were too afraid of being hit by unlucky fate like fairies on the legend of the Regret Waterfall.
“We should eat first and then go home soon. I'm still sleepy and want to sleep fast tonight.”
“I too. For the first time I slept a long time but did not dream.”
“You always dream in your sleep?”
“Semember me yes.”
“Anything that appears in your dream?”
“Mortgage. Mountains, lakes, flowers and rabbits. There are many more.”
“What? Hahaha, if you dream of all things, you can make a book about your dreams and give it to Urndie for additional library collection,” as well as Mineda. Daniela paled and immediately threw it with a green grape.
Hearing Urndie's name being called, Emune felt his nape bristling. He remembered and he would never break his promise to Urndie. Both of his friends were very dear and trusting but Urndie had warned him that no one should know about Orsgadt's story, including his friends.
“Ah, yes. I'm already full. We go home now?”
“Come, I feel like lying down on my bed.” immediately
They ended the picnic today. They walk together while flirting with each other. Daniela picked the wildflowers and put them in Mineda and Emune's hair. He himself prefers to use leaves.
Mineda muttered the poem Fairy Therenia, the legend of the Waterfall of Regret that parents told their children long ago.
The moon has come to greet the night
The color is pale like a firefly's sadness
The forest dwellers are lulled by nature
All so peaceful and calm
Fairy Therenia cried regretting her betrayal
My dear Geoffrey no longer loves him very much
He gave up all his desires
Then a waterfall was created where he fell
“Wait, how did he fall? She's a fairy. Fairy can fly.”
“Did your mother not tell you that, Daniela? The Therenia had given up all her desires. The moment the fairy did that, she would lose all her strength. He fell to the ground and his body disappeared. Instead, create a waterfall.”
“Oh, okay. I guess I missed that part when my mom told me.”
Emune laughed when she heard the two friends who were always crowded. Mineda who is as good as the fairy godmother and the princess-friendly Daniela in fairy tales are her best friends. Emune could forget all her sadness while being with them.
His third step was stopped by a red-robed woman who cut off their path. Cover his head open revealing reddish hair neatly coiled.
“Mrs Bretien! You surprised us!” mineda
Madam Bretien grunting. “Bad girls! Your legs should be tied up at home. You should be ashamed. No one goes to the Waterfall of Regret. You will be cursed!” his screams are as powerful as possible. His eyes widened, his hands raised into the air as if he was gathering all the power from the sky.
Emune and her two friends close themselves together. The drowsiness that had attacked them since then suddenly disappeared changed into panic. The three immediately took a thousand steps away from Madam Bretien who was still nagging, this time while stomping her feet. Emune, Daniela and Mineda are not willing to take any chances so they continue to run and separate at the intersection to their respective homes.
Emune arrived home with a breath of breath. Crazy one! What possessed Lady Bretien? He's not usually like that. Emune sat on a small stool to rest. He sure will sleep fast tonight after swimming all day and running scared like earlier.
“A very tiring day,” murmured. Emune clapped her hand. Smile on his lips, “But fun!” yells.
