Yhourin laughed at Emune's words. The vile magician stared intently at the little bully girl before him. He pointed at Emune with Eltran's wand in his left hand. “You could have escaped a dozen years ago but this time I make sure you and all the humans in Artamea will be dust!”
“Don't be too sure. The prophecy is not necessarily true. I'm living proof that destiny doesn't always side with the bad guys,” Emune said. A humbling smile appeared on his lips. This time he did not feel the need to be courteous to the source of Orsgadt's destruction.
“Too confident. Your Orsgadt blood is meaningless. You're just a weak girl even your armor is useless.” Yhourin laughed loudly.
“Witch pongah. Soon you will die,” said Horeen coldly.
“Ah, here comes the unlucky fairy. Get out of front of me!”
While Yourin is making a fuss with each other and trying out power with Horeen, Proner whispers to Emune. “Can we vanish him immediately? Outside there are still Korta and Anthura.”
“Where is the heart of Elqoz?” ask Emune.
Proner gave Elqoz's heart a hardened, silver color. He didn't know what Emune was going to do with it. Emune took a swing and threw Elqoz's heart at Yhourin. The stone-hard object was right about the unawares temple of Yhourin.
Yhourin looked wrathfully at Emune. How dare this brash girl throw at me, furious Yhourin. He moved Eltran's wand and made the object that hit him earlier shot towards Emune's head without a protective helmet.
The Proner certainly did not remain silent. He fended off Elqoz's heart with a sword of light. The clash of the sword and the heart of Elqoz made Proner's hand cramp. Elqoz's heart broke into pieces.
Horeen approached Emune. “What are you doing?” whispered.
“Olevander told me to throw Elqoz's heart at my enemy,” Emune replied, in a whisper.
Horeen and Proner glared in disbelief at Emune's words. Looks like Olevander did hide something from them. Not just one, a lot. The two grimaced as now Yhourin was already staring at them with a murderous look.
“Quite toying around, stupid girl!” Yhourin attacked blindly with Eltran's wand and his rapid hand movements.
Horeen put up a guard body for Proner and Emune. The witch was indeed annoying and she was eager to try out her powers. The sweeps of wind and fire made by Yhourin moved randomly even veering to the back of Horeen. Horeen was not the least bit injured but Proner who only used man-made armor became an easy target. Blood flowed from the wounds on Proner's body and he fell to the floor.
Horeen snatches Proner's body, puts it behind a large table, channels energy into Proner's chest and then re-protects Emune. His hand swung at Yhourin with an invisible wave. Yhourin was undaunted despite being attacked many times by Horeen. Eltran's wand in his hand was a powerful weapon he could use to fend off anything.
Emune is still buying angrily seeing the injured Proner. He did not even realize that Avena had come and helped Horeen. Proner's blood pooled on the floor reminded him of the Orsgadt massacre.
Avena attacked Yhourin ferociously. He was fed up with the descendants of the fire. The terrible wars out there still remain in his memory. Korta managed to hold it but soon it will be free from the spell made Leonz.
“Horeen, Avena, come out. Help the troops outside!” shout a sound.
Horeen and Avena were shocked. It was Emune's voice but there was something different. They jumped away from Yhourin and were shocked when they saw Emune. The girl is now wearing a protective helmet that complements her armor. The blue light moved up from his feet and then covered his body. The movement of the blue light was like a blazing fire.
“Go,” say the voice is firm.
Avena and Horeen dart out of the tower. They were convinced that the voice was the inner voice used by Emune. Avena had no idea what had happened to Emune but the energy Emune emitted was extremely powerful. He and Horeen were indeed more needed on the battlefield right now.
Horeen shook her head. He was busy making up his mind. “Hopefully this is not what I thought,” murmured slowly.
“You!” yhourin. There was fear in his eyes.
“You're scared, Yhourin?” emune. He didn't even have to open his mouth to speak.
Yhourin attacked Emune. The blades from the flames shot towards Emune nonstop. Yhourin smiled happily and was sure Emune would be uprooted due to his attack. Upon seeing Emune still upright and unharmed in the slightest, Yhourin grew even more enraged.
He made pentagrams and cast magic spells. Thick, toxic fumes poured out of the pentagram and enveloped Emune. This time he also had to swallow his bitter disappointment, the smoke vanished upon touching the blue light that protected Emune.
Emune walked straight towards Yhourin. One hand moved upwards. Yhourin's body was raised quite high. He let Yhourin float up there some time.
Yhourin cursed furiously. He could not even free himself from the force that lifted him up. He widened in horror and grimaced with pain as his body was thrown to the floor. The Eltran wand in his hand could not match Emune's strength. He only realized that the other energy he felt at that time was not from Leonz but must be from Emune.
Leonz appears in the top room of Orsgadt's main tower and runs towards Proner, who is helplessly sprawled on the floor. He believes Emune can handle Yhourin so he concentrates on Proner. He thanked Horeen who had given a little energy to Proner in order to survive until Leonz came.
The little girl sprinkled her magic powder on Proner's face and chest. He closed his eyes and placed his small hands on Proner's forehead and chest. A bright white light appeared and descended enveloping Proner. Leonz opened his eyes. It took a while for Proner to wake up so Leonz stood guard and watched Emune and Yhourin stare at each other wordlessly.
Emune's approaching Yhourin. The fire elf descendant magician attacked Emune with his fire-covered palm. Eltran's scepter now only served as a guard of distance between himself and Emune.
With a single stroke Emune had already managed to snatch Eltran's wand and lift Yhourin's body again. Although Emune's hand did not touch Yhourin's body directly but the expression of pain on the witch's face was enough to tell her how tormented she was right now.
A resourceful Yhourin transforms herself into the apparition of Emune's biological mother, Princess Erika. As her life is on the edge, she hopes Emune will still have mercy if she turns into this girl's mother.
“My daughter, this is Mom. Forgive her,” said Yhourin with the voice of Princess Erika.
Emune releases Yhourin. The witch held her neck. He was already happy when Emune released him but the next incident was beyond his expectations.
Emune pulled him to his feet and leaned against the wall. Emune whispered to him. “Your father loves you very much.”
Yhourin. He then looked down languidly. Tears flowed from both of his eyes that were looking hatefully at Emune.
“Free me from this pain, Elizai. Let me go,” said Yhourin.
Emune nodded slowly. He placed his right palm on Yhourin's chest. He still heard the witch name her lover, Goenhrad.
“Goodbye, Yhourin,” says Emune. With a slight pressure on Yhourin's chest, the witch's body was crushed to ashes and then blown away by the wind.
Leonz is shocked when Proner's big hand hugs him. Apparently the man was conscious and because he was too serious to observe Emune, he did not know that Proner also witnessed the next incident.
“What's next,” ask Proner.
“Yhourin's death does not mean Korta and Anthura disappeared. Help Mirena and Alfred.” Leonz stood up with a tense face that he was trying to hide.
“How about you and Emune?” ask Proner.
“Give Emune to me. I'm the only one he can hear right now.” Leonz sighed softly. “Proner, go.”
“Wait for you there,” said Proner.
Leonz smiled and patted Proner on the shoulder. The man vanished from the almost formless room due to the fight against Yhourin earlier. Leonz grimaced for a moment. Yhourin had already been defeated but Artamea's main problem was now in front of him. He should be able to subdue Emune, no matter what.
