The Proner staggered upon arriving at Thorsca Hill after being moved by Leonz earlier. He did not understand what would happen to Emune and Leonz but he did have to help the Eimersun forces east of the Orsgadt border.
“Your Majesty, Yhourin is dead,” Proner told His Majesty King Duncan. “Princess Elizai managed to defeat him,” he continued.
“Really?” Joy was on the king's face. With Yhourin gone, they only needed to focus on Korta and Anthura.
“True, Your Majesty,” replied Proner.
“Please tell this to all commanders! We have to hold on until Olevander's help comes!” king Duncan exclaimed at the bearers of the news who immediately mounted their horses and darted south.
The news of Goenhrad's witch's death in an instant reached the ears of all the armies of the three kingdoms. Although they knew that Anthura and Korta were still threatening, at least one worry had vanished. A new spirit and hope grew that strengthened their resolve to conquer Orsgadt.
“Elizai where?” ask Mirena to Proner.
“Still in the main tower of Orsgadt with Leonz,” replied Proner.
“Good.” The King looked excited because man had the hope to keep fighting even though victory felt so far away.
“Avena, how much longer can Leonz's spell last?” ask Alfred.
“Tak much longer. Shit, what do I do?” Avena was upset that she didn't know what to do.
They were silent for a moment. Suddenly Proner's eyes widened. An angry grin appeared on his face as he saw Orsgadt's troops moving into the three directions. Right in front of him, an Orsgadt commander was showing off his sinister face. Borrin, his arch-enemy on horseback, was ready to sweep the Eimersun army east of Orsgadt with thousands behind him.
“They don't relax, apparently,” murmured Alfred.
“Standard team. Don't let your guard down,” King Duncan's orders.
The comparison of the forces of the three kingdoms against Orsgadt at this time was still good enough if only against the Orsgadt warriors. The one thing that was most feared was the last war against Korta and Anthura. King Zyruone hoped Olevander could persuade Fairy King Dougraff to seal Korta and Anthura. Seeing the chaos on this battlefield, the king was convinced Olevander was having a hard time doing so.
The war drums of the Orsgadt stronghold broke the silence. The next thing that was heard was a loud shout from the commanders of the forces of both camps. The armies of Eimersun, Arsyna, and Imperia were no less fierce than the armies of Orsgadt. The two camps slashed each other, stabbed each other and demanded death from his opponent. Blood flooded the battlefield.
Borrin looked at the two warlords in front of him with a disgusting smile. He's after Alfred and Mirena. After the two died, he would gladly behead king Eimersun, he thought.
“Mirena, stay away from that monster,” Alfred's message.
Mirena nodded. He continued his fight against another commander who was as ugly as Borrin. Dropping fast on the horse, Mirena turned the sword in her hand and attacked the commander in chief who in her eyes looked like an evil big wolf. A fierce fight lasted until Mirena finally managed to thrust her sword through the commander's stomach. His opponent fell down and was trampled by horses and warriors fighting.
Borrin roared furiously. He no longer cared about Alfred. Mirena is Borrin's only target at the moment. His horse was thrust towards Mirena, his drawn greatsword was about to stab Mirena.
Alfred who saw his opponent switch targets immediately chased after him. He shouted loudly warning Mirena but her voice could not defeat the ripples of the battlefield. Mirena couldn't possibly dodge that huge sword. Alfred parried the great sword with his sword. Mirena was spared the threat of death but Alfred could not escape the stabbing of another sword wielded by Borrin. Borrin smirked haughtily and laughed heartily as Alfred's body fell on the back of his horse.
“Alfred!” shout Mirena.
He grabbed Alfred's horse and patted him hard to bring Alfred to the edge of the battlefield. Mirena's eyes flushed. He was just about to fight Borrin, when Proner showed up with a horse driven by the equivalence.
“She's mine, Mirena!” shouted Proner.
Seeing the murderous look in Proner's eyes, Mirena immediately stepped aside and continued the fight with her troops. Proner brandished a sword of light at Borrin.
“I'm your opponent!” shouted Proner.
“Do I know you?” ask Borrin.
“You killed my father, Steven Malfice!” exclaimed Proner with a raging chest full of anger. My grudge will be avenged today, Proner thought.
Borrin chuckles. “Too many died in my hands. I don't remember,” he said casually.
The prisoner's getting angry. He tightened the grip on the handle of his sword.
“You will remember it before your death!”
Proner swung his sword and slashed the large sword blade in Borrin's left hand. The huge sword broke into pieces until only the hilt remained in Borrin's hands. Shocked by Proner's sword force, Borrin moved the sword he had used to stab Alfred in his left hand.
Proner saw two other sword hilts sticking out from behind Borrin's back. He will never forget, one of which is his father's sword. He was eager to finish Borrin off.
“Malfice. You're that little boy?” borrin asked as another one of his swords was shattered by Proner's sword of light.
“You remember now. Goody. Prepare to die!” The Proner had been waiting for this moment to arrive. Dead though I won't regret, his mind is steady.
Borrin's laughter boomed. The little boy finally appeared as well to challenge him. It's very interesting, he thought.
The bored Proner wasted time with this ugly commander immediately jumped on Borrin's horse. He grabbed his father's sword and quickly cut off the neck of his great enemy. Regardless of Borrin's body falling from the horse, Proner returns to his horse and drives him to Alfred's place.
King Duncan was propping up Alfred's back. He nodded as Proner approached.
“You killed him,” Alfred said weakly. It seemed like he saw everything from where he was leaning at this moment.
Proner saw a big wound in Alfred's stomach. He should be helped immediately.
“Leonz, Horeen!” his yell.
Alfred placed his hand on Proner's knee. He admired this young man. He has trained so many knights to date but Proner is different from the knights he knows. Emune has a great knight by his side, he no longer needs to worry about his safety.
“Knight Orsgadt, say hello to Queen Elizai. Take good care of him,” Alfred's message.
“I'll tell you. I promise,” said Proner.
Alfred smiled faintly. “It's time to part ways. Your Majesty, may success always accompany Eimersun,” said Alfred. His body stiffened for a moment and then drooped. Alfred is gone.
King Duncan gripped Alfred's shoulder. He shed tears. So much for Alfred's services to Eimersun. Today he lost a friend and a great knight.
Avena felt a tightness in her chest when she saw Alfred leaving them. There has been too much grief and death because of this war. He wants to end it if he can. With tears dripping down her cheeks, Avena made a cold mist that covered the battlefield. He clenched both his hands. The whole army of Orsgadt fell in blood and died. Avena fell on the ground. It's running out of energy. Her tears are still flowing.
“Death to you .. cursed humans,” hiss Avena.
As soon as he saw the cold fog covering the battlefield, Horeen darted east. Avena must be draining her energy again, she thought resentfully. Sure enough, the girl was lying weakly on the ground. It was like he did not care about his dirty face and body.
Horeen lifts Avena's body. The girl is still crying. Horeen turned to Proner's place. He understood when he saw Alfred drooping and Proner who was nodding weakly.
“Dumb girl, again you spend your energy,” said Horeen upset.
