Almost eight o'clock at night, the motorbike boarded by Dewa and Deva just arrived at the hotel lobby. At the same time, Dira and Dave who were about to walk out of the hotel saw the two men compactly take off their respective helmets.
"Asik, nih, around the motor both. Apparently, there are secretly intensive approaches. The heartache of marriage, the pain is not until a day, Dev. Move on does not need to linger, there is already a change that is no less cool in plain sight." Dira unceremoniously welcomes Deva and Dewa with his cynical style of speech.
Dave turned his face to the other side while hiding his eyes that bore anger and jealousy. "Aware of yourself, Dave. Deva's not who you are anymore. Don't burden her with your feelings. You loved her. Not just want to have it," remember it to yourself, even if only in the heart.
Deva and Deva themselves had no intention of responding to Dira's words. Both even compact throw a glance at Dave. How strongly Dave wants to hide what he feels. Of course Deva can still find out easily.
Realizing Deva was watching him, Dave tried to act normal by holding his head up. After taking a deep breath, the man put both his hands into the pocket of the sweater he was wearing.
"I go first, yeah." Dave steps past Deva, the God and Dira.
"Dave wait!" dave's wife was forced to pursue the husband without saying goodbye to God and Deva.
Deva and Deva continued their steps inside carrying their respective helmets. After handing it over to the employee on duty, the two returned to their respective rooms. Because it has been praying while at Ratu Boko Temple earlier, Deva and Dewa after bathing and changing clothes directly back out of the room. The two men had agreed to have a lesehan dinner in Malioboro.
The distance of the hotel is not too far from their destination, making Dewa and Deva more comfortable to walk. Jogja has changed a lot from the last time Deva visited there with Amar and Shinta. Deva was still in first grade High School. Not a short time - really enough for a region to change its face for the better. Without leaving the characteristic of its traditionalism, the row of souvenir shops in Malioboro is now more neatly organized.
Either by chance, or indeed the world is not as wide as color pants. Deva and Dewa, again met with Dave and Dira who were also enjoying a meal at one of the booths there. Invisible, of course, Deva and God cannot retreat to move elsewhere.
"Tube, yuk! Let's exclaim. From now on, we just talk in our hearts," said Dira as she glanced at Dave who chose to focus on the rooster in front of him rather than on Dira.
Deva and Deva were sitting in their respective positions after previously taking off their footwear. The god sits next to Dave, and Deva sits next to Dira exactly. Dave. forced his smile. However, the man's eyes still avoided meeting Deva.
What Dave felt, was clearly more than a tortured word. He who left and broke off the relationship to marry a woman he did not love, then now he must muffle his heart so as not to hurt Deva more because his love is still intact.
Dewa and Deva mentioned the same food name when the waiter questioned their order menu. That of course makes Dira even more excited to heat up Dave's heart that is already very boiling.
"So when was it inaugurated? Don't you take it long, brother. Long-term dating is useless. Keep people's soulmates again." Dira's tone was clearly fixed on Deva.
"It's better to keep people's soul mates than to win people's soul mates" Deva chimed in casually.
"If you haven't been a husband and wife, her name isn't a match, Dev. The soul mate met in the penghulu, not just meet at the door."
Deva just smiled. Enough was enough to feed Dira's words. Moreover, a moment later the food he ordered came, better immediately eat the food rather than arguing with Dira.
"Until when here, Dave?" God just opened the subject with Dave. While waiting for the answer of the man next to him, the God fed a spoonful of rice and side dishes into his mouth.
"Maybe I'm home tomorrow too. I don't take a sabbatical. Anyway, on Tuesday I have an operation schedule. Want a honeymoon anywhere, also do not make it, right?" Dave gave a cynical glance at Dira.
"I accepted your call to come out, not to argue, Dir," Dave said quickly.
From under the table, the God gently kicked his foot towards Dira. As soon as the cousin saw it, the man sent a signal through his eyes and a small movement in his mouth to keep Dira quiet.
Dave finished his meal which was already over. Then he stood up and walked towards the handwashing place made of clay barrel.
"Sister, after this, take a walk, yuk! Take me looking for souvenirs for my mom. Just around here." Dira whines spoiled to God.
"Mmmm ...." The man Dira spoke to answered lazily.
Dave sat back in his place. The man plays his phone to find busyness while covering the awkwardness he now feels with a rate above reasonableness.
A few moments passed, a moment after the Deva and God's food ran out. The four of them left the Lesehan stall. They walked along in an irregular position. Whether forgotten or intentionally, Dira even continues to hold the hand of God. He let Deva and Dave walk behind him.
Slowly, Deva and Dave's footsteps grew even more. Stretching a wider distance from God and Dira. Although not parallel, but the distance of Dave and Deva is not up to one full step.
"You look better, Bee," she said without looking at Deva.
"Look good, not necessarily good. At least I want to try well. The world isn't over yet, but I've been spoiled. God is asking me to be stronger, Bang. Maybe not just me, but you too." Deva bit her own lower lip at the end of the sentence.
The god felt that the person walking behind him was a different person. He looked back, sure enough, not Dave and Deva walking behind him. The man even saw the two people in question were stopping walking, standing nailed with a position that is not close together.
Dira who was telling something to the Gods, was completely unaware of the events the Gods saw. The woman continued to walk on the arm of the God.
"We'll see here first." The god deliberately deflected Dira into one of the shops. He wants to cut the distance. So that Deva and Dave are not too difficult to pursue his existence and also Dira. The only cousin of the God just like that.
"May you find your happiness, Bee. I really hope to see you always smiling and cheerful like you used to. Even without me, and not me causing that smile" Dave said in a very quiet voice.
"The same prayer for you, Bang. Smile even though I'm not the one who makes that smile."
Both of them continued their steps. Dave and Deva's position is now parallel to the view that is equally down.
"The hardest thing in my life is that I feel like I'm living it all by myself. Not only did I lose my soulmate, but I also lost a good friend. Who understands my feelings better than you?" Dave shook his head strongly. "Nobody understands me and tries to understand me. My happiness, no one cares" Dave added.
"We can still be friends, Bang. I don't mind at all being your friend." Deva raised her head and turned to Dave.
"really? There's no pure friendship between a woman and a man, Bee. We are not just ex-ex. What kind of friendship can we have?" Dave did the same thing Deva did. Namely, staring at the interlocutor even though at a glance.
