Residual Flavour
The determination of Dave

Dave did not react. The man flinched on the back of the gurney with a face that was difficult to describe with words. His gaze was no longer even directed at a single point.

"Mama doesn't know what else to say, Dav. Besides saying sorry and thank you, is there another word you deserve?" Fira braved herself rubbing Dave's hair gently.

Deva's ex-lover did not refuse, however, nor did she return her mother's gaze at all. "Faster is better, isn't it? It feels like it will still be the same. Dave just wants daddy and mom to remember one thing. Being able to marry Dave to Dira does not mean that he can also manage Dave's next life and feelings. Intervene you, just until the wedding day," said Dave while pressing the nurse call button.

Fira turned her face to the other side. Trying to hide the tears that dripped without cues from his eyes. Dave doesn't know, but he chooses to pretend he doesn't care.

The two stayed silent to each other. Until then, a nurse came over and asked why Dave had pressed the call button.

"I want to go home right now. My condition already allows for outpatient care," pinta Dave with a fairly firm intonation.

"But we have to wait for the doctor to visit later in the afternoon, sir. Ka-a,"

"I know, but I don't want to wait. Just call the Dharma Doctor. Tell Doctor Dave to go home now." Dave quickly cut the nurse's words.

"alright, Sir. Please wait a minute." Just found out that Dave is also a doctor, making the nurse did not want to argue for long. He chose to obey Dave's words to contact the doctor who handled the man.

"Dave, are you sure you're okay?" Fira asked carefully.

"Mom knows exactly, Dave was never better than this," Dave replied.

Fira lowered her face. The woman seemed to have run out of words to persuade Dave. If only the word had crossed his head again. But all has already been done, if and if it would only be pseudo wishful thinking.

Dave grabbed the smart phone lying on the nightstand. Seeing the digital number of time instructions on the flat screen, Dave immediately looked at the door of the room. Supposedly, Deva had come to see him. Worried, Dave decided to contact his beloved ex.

Up to nearly four calls, there was no sign of Dave receiving his call. Suddenly the man's feelings became increasingly agitated and uneasy. In addition, when Dave sends a message, a check mark one gray is visible at the end of the sentence he sent.

Dave pressed the nurse call button more aggressively. He had even turned off the impus flow that should still be able to flow through the hose connected to the needle stick on the back of his hand.

"Dave .. patient, wait for the nurse first." Fira tries to hold Dave's hand who wants to pull out his own infusion needle.

"If you're not comfortable here, you'll go home. Forgive Mama and Papa, Dave. You may be disappointed in us, but please don't stay away. Should Mama kneel down so that you would accept this decision without having to hate?" Fira dropped her body on the floor. Collapse was already the stubbornness he had built all this time.

To be avoided, ignored, and shunned by Dave is a torture in itself for Fira and Agas. "Mama should do it, Dave. Tell me how should Mama? If you really want to refuse to marry Dira, just do it. Let your father get sick and end his life in prison. Do what you want. You are free to do all this if you have to. Slowly, it's not just your father who's dead, it's your mother."

Dave closed his eyes. Rebuffing the vibrating sound of Fira who had mixed sobs. The man tried to reflect on his attitude lately. Everyone is struggling with their own wounds and grief. Silence is the best thing to do. Complaining as her mother does now, it's more affirming-Dave has to change her views and behavior.

"Mama and papa are really sorry, Dave. Please stop thinking like we're suing you because you're not our real son. All this time, have we treated you like a child? Say "yes" if that's how you feel. It's not about return, Dave. Because we are family, we must sacrifice for each other. Listen Mama! Open your heart little by little. Look at Dira in a faster way, then everything will feel easier. You guys are so worth it. Slow down, let go of your feelings for Deva. This is not just for you, but also for the good of Deva" Fira said. The woman was still sitting barefoot on the cold ceramic floor of the hospital.

Dave inched down from his vault, he positioned himself by crouching against Fira. "Ma, stop asking Dave to open his heart. Help u! Give Dave time to understand and make peace with everything that happens. Dave needs room to be alone. Not to get away and get rid of papa-mama, Dave is still trying to accept everything in Dave's way. Chat like now-the end-the end, always mama told Dave to open his heart."

Fira reached out her hand to touch Dave's face which was no longer pale. The woman stroked the child's smooth cheeks with such real affection. "If you can't love, at least respect and don't hurt Dira."

"If you still want to give advice on how Dave should behave to Dira, really Dave will really stay away. This marriage is not Dave's who wants it. Don't put too high expectations. Love doesn't always grow out of togetherness" Dave says.

The nurse returns, settling the grim tension between Fira and Dave. The yellow map with the hospital logo where Dave is being treated, indicates that Dave is allowed to go home on condition of signing a forced return letter on the patient's will.

"Mama go home alone. Dave still has a little business. And once again Dave please, don't keep reminding Dave how to behave. Love and feelings cannot be set as easily as when we set the alarm. Just the wedding is the request of papa and mama, lest there are other requests after that. If this isn't about return. Please, the debate over how Dave should be-last up here alone. Don't keep repeating."

Dave stood up again. Then he sat on the edge of the gurney to be removed by the nurse. As for Fira herself, without saying any greetings, straight out of there with a shaky step.

A different situation, it happened in the room of the Gods. Deswita who has been there since ten minutes ago, did not know the purpose and purpose of the God told her to come specifically to the office of the child.

"So how, Nyil? This mama just told me to see you work? Or told to do something?" Deswita asked with sewot.

"Patience, Ma. So this is ...." The god whispered a series of words that made Deswita put out a few expressions upon hearing it.
