Choosing to be friends with Dira

"Dira, stop! Control yourself." God's blocking Dira's wrist. Grasping it tightly so that the hand no longer touched and hurt Deva.

The memory of the Gods goes back to the events of ten years ago. While he was still abroad to complete his post-graduate program while working at a foreign company. Dira is known to have severe depression. However, until now, the gods did not know what caused this to happen. By the time he returned to Indonesia, Dira had improved, even with the changes that left him stunned.

"God brother why defend him? Why doesn't anyone care how I feel now? You guys are a bitch." Dira runs away leaving Deva and the Gods.

Without saying a word, the Gods rushed after Dira. However, he did not want anything to happen with his cousin. In unstable and emotional conditions, it is obviously not appropriate for the Gods to leave Dira alone.

Deva took a deep breath. He didn't know where to put his foot. The phone in his bag was shaking. The name of the candidate of the failed priest is listed there. Deva received the call. After a short conversation, Deva finally decided to keep coming to meet Fira's request. Yes ... Her former future father-in-law contacted her via Dave's mobile phone.

Deva went straight into the elevator, then she pressed a boxed tombul bearing the number six. In just a moment, the elevator that he was just riding alone had reached the floor he was heading to. He's getting out of there, too.

Deva walked on looking for the number of the room where Dave was being cared for. After finding the room in question, Deva did not go directly inside there. For a moment he remained silent at the door to set his heart.

"Natalogue ...." Deva pressed the doorknob down.

Three steps into the room, Deva was greeted with a heart-wrenching sight. Almost eight years of knowing Dave, with seven years of being in a special relationship, Dave has never looked this weak. Drooping helplessly above the gurney, with a blank look on the ceiling of the room. As for Fira, the woman cried silently in Agas' arms. Both parents were standing in a corner of the room some distance from Dave's gurney.

Knowing Deva's arrival, Fira nodded her head weakly while pointing at Dave. When they came to the hospital, Dave didn't want to talk to anyone. Even when Dira came, Dave threatened to revoke the infusion if anyone allowed the woman in. That's why Dira became so emotional.

Deva pulled a round bench not far from Dave's gurney. Then he sat his ass there. Dave was still unaware of the presence of his beloved woman.

"Bang ...." Deva called Dave softly.

Dave remained unmoved. The man's gaze was completely blank. Deva swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. All this time, he thought he himself was the most injured. Apparently not, Dave felt the same way as him.

Deva reached out her hand to touch the cheek of the man who was so meritorious in his life. His eyes look dewy. It seems, clear circles have also piled up there.

"Bang Dave, it's me." Deva's voice sounded vibrating.

Dave did not look at it. As the man blinked, his tears dripped without excuse. Deva bit her own lower lip. Fate has allowed the wounds to be real in their hearts.

"Who said yesterday that he wanted to be a backrest? How can it be a back-up if you're like this?" Deva's tone of voice slightly raised.

Dave looked at Deva. A smile suddenly lifted from his lips. "You're coming?"

"For what? If I get sick, I'll get your attention, right? If I am healthy, I must be a puppet to obey Dira's will. I wish I could refuse" said Dave. Like holding back from saying anything else.

"I don't deserve to be called a man, Bee. I failed to keep my promise. And now I'm starting to dare to hurt women. I didn't want to hurt Dira. But I can't, Bee. I can't pretend to be good. All I know is that he has to accept me for who I am" he added.

Dave turned his face to the other side. Tears fell from the corner of her eye. Anger and disappointment that is present in the midst of helplessness, really makes his body sick.

Deva doesn't know what to answer. He couldn't possibly comfort Dave with sweet words. That limit still has to be there. Offering as a friend? Worth it? Will there be a sincere friendship between them? While love with another name is still intact stored in the heart.

"What can I do, Bee? Tell me what to do? Do I have to be a bad boy? I can't possibly do it, Bee. I need to know myself. My time should be more than just a real child." Dave still turned his face away. He had no guts to look Deva in the eye.

Fira remass the sleeves of the shirt that Agas wore. Hearing Dave's words just now, it really broke his heart. "It's all because of you, Pa. You're wrong."

"What you did was right. If I were in my brother's position, I would definitely do the same. Maybe we're just not used to it. We'll get through it really well, Bang, slow down. Do not force our hearts to forget and deny the feelings that still exist. Let love disappear slowly. Do not torment yourselves with wishful thinking that is no longer possible to be delivered" Deva said.

"I know, Bee. This thing I should have been tepis. But I can't afford it yet. The harder I try, the more it hurts my heart." Dave returned Deva's sad gaze.

"It's important you heal first. I promise, after this, I won't avoid Brother. If fighting feelings hurts us. Maybe we should try another way. Let me be friends with Dira." Deva suddenly gave an unexpected decision.

"Bee, it doesn't have to be that way either. You don't have to do it. I don't want you to get hurt. Just don't stay away from me." Dave obviously strongly objected to Deva's decision.

"No, Bang, I know you're tormented because of Dira's attitude. And I'm happy if you're happy. I'm gonna make Dira can't make you a doll. I promise I can keep my own feelings."

Dave reluctantly responds to Deva's words. Just imagine he is no longer able to. Nah! He would not allow Deva to sacrifice for himself to that extent.

On the other hand, the God who had managed to catch up to Dira, restrained his cousin's arm by expending a little energy.

"Stop putting yourself down, Dir. Why would you wish on a man who obviously doesn't consider you? Dave might be good. But his kindness, definitely not for you," God asserted. With a stifled voice as they were still in the hospital parking area.

"I told you, Brother, don't interfere. We just need time." Dira persisted with his belief.

"And time will never side with you, Dir. With your attitude like this, let alone Dave, I'm sick of seeing you."

The words of God made Dira's emotions again explode. "Please sicken brother. In a moment, all of you will understand why I am acting this way. Dave is the man--,"
