The gods speak

"Bang ...." Deva shifted her seat closer to Desta. Give Dave space to sit on the empty bench next to him.

The man dropped his ass next to Deva. His gaze was straight forward, on a row of tables laid out in such a way as to where the judge, defense, and public prosecutor would later be located.

"Justice may be too late for you, Bee. There is no punishment for those who have destroyed your family. Again, I'm sorry I couldn't help you out earlier. I'm ashamed, Bee."

Deva turned to Dave and looked at the man's face gently. "All has been designed and outlined by God, Bang. We humans are just living. Likes not to like, sincerely not sincere. We have to accept. Pretty prejudiced. Nothing happens without God's intervention."

Along with the end of the sentence spoken by Deva, the Judge and other officers entered the courtroom. Followed later by Agas who walked flanked by two officers. A few moments later, the trial began. Suddenly tense atmosphere. The look on Fira's face clearly showed real despair.

This is the culmination of the struggle waged by Deva. The verdict was not at all light, given a judge to Agas. Fifteen years in prison, confiscation of some assets, and also a fine of five billion rupiah. Instantly made Agas scream no acceptance. The man took a swearing oath intended for the judge and the prosecutor.

The room was not conducive and rowdy. Some people who deliberately came to watch the hearing held for the public shouted Agas with words that were no less severe.

"Once the thief remains. A proper death sentence" shouted one of the visitors who had been Amar's subordinate.

"Less the punishment. Eat your own carcass if necessary" said another visitor who is also a former employee of Amar.

Fira also fainted. Dave immediately runs his mother out of the room with the help of Desta and Deva. However, just get to Dave's car. After that, Deva decided to go somewhere else alone. Also without the company of Desta. Today, Deva is deliberately taking time off work. Even though he knew, tonight there was a welcoming ceremony for the change of leadership from God to Tino again.

Ignoring the blazing sunlight, Deva stepped foot casually on the dry land whose right left was overgrown with weeds. A funeral is certainly not a fancy funeral at all. So simple. Even most of the headstones are not built grandly with ceramics let alone expensive marble. Only the green grass that was flattened covered the mound along the corpse pore.

"Asalamualaikum, Ma ... Pa ...." Deva slowly sat down between Shinta and Amar's navel without using any pedestal.

"Deva has returned papa's good name. Deva is sure, even though reality is beyond our expectations, Deva is sure, there is no place for revenge in the hearts of mama and papa. Deva will do the same." Deva rubbed a tombstone bearing the names of papa and his mother alternately.

"Deva doesn't know how to go ahead. In the past, papa often advised Deva, that life should have a purpose. Let's know where the foot is going. Now, Deva really doesn't know, Pa ... Ma ... What Deva remembers, Deva must keep doing good. Because only Deva's kindness can make papa and mama proud." Once again Deva rubbed the gravestones of her parents, this time she let her hands rub for longer on the tombstone of the mother.

"Dave, do something for your papa. How could your father have been in prison. This is totally unfair. It should have been, Rudi's longer sentence," complained Fira in a very weak voice.

"Ma, what kind of justice do you want? Is not this punishment still too light for us? Mr. Amar, Ms. Shinta, and Deva, things are no better than we are now, Ma. Shame when my mom complains. This is the result we have to face. How are you doing with Mr Amar? In prison for something that wasn't his fault. And mom still complains this is unfair? Fortunately, my mother did not get involved in this case. Because a little bit, my mom has been hiding the truth" said Dave.

Fira's gaze was getting empty. At the age of those who should have lived quietly. It ends up in a mess. Finish everything he has without rest.

"What's mama doing, Dave? It means nothing more. Mama just wants to die."

Dave drew a line of cynical smiles. "What does my mom want to do? Mama's business in the world? Or the shame of mom? Mama's words show how much she does not believe in the existence and power of God. Everything we're going through right now, there's clearly interference, Ma. Sorry... not Dave patronizing. It's time for you to get used to involving God in all things."

Fira immediately threw a sharp look at Dave. "God? If HE does exist, why does HE allow all the wrongs and evils on this earth to happen? God does not have Dave. We govern our own lives."

"Because man is not an angel created without lust. Angels are destined to obey Him always. Man was created with reason and conscience. To think and feel for yourself the good of something. God exists, He never steps away even once we are indifferent. Already wailing, Ma. This is not the end of the world. Grateful we're still given time off to fix all the mistakes." Dave decides to leave Fira alone in the room.

A few hours passed, Deva was already in the restaurant where a farewell party or a welcome party was held in his company. Despite the holidays, Deva took the time to attend the event tonight. It was done no other than because he wanted to find an opportunity to meet the God and invite the man who continued to avoid it to speak four eyes.

A souvenir and some other things Deva prepared in a black paper bag to give to the Gods. Knowing the man had not yet arrived, he chose to wait around the parking area.

Deva's eyes instantly sparkled expectantly as the car he was so familiar with entered the parking area. With determination, Deva approached the car that chose a parking lot on the right side of the middle row of the restaurant building.

"Sir God," call Deva.
