Screamnights
durawa cemetery

You know when you're feeling so scared, you subconsciously call out the name of the person you think is most important to you?

I admit it, because it happened to me several times. I live only with my mother. From my mother's story, my father died while she was still in my house. Plus the father and mother are orphans who grew up in the same orphanage and initially both are good friends and comrades who try to survive with all the shortcomings they have for a little bit of comfort. Lucky ... My father was a smart man.  So, the father in his youth get a lot of help to finally be able to go to college up to S2 and be accepted to work in a large company with a high salary.

Soon, my mother and father married. The father who lived with a large income then asked the mother to get married even though he only worked as a food seller at the campus where the father used to go to college. Mothers used to give food to fathers in college and that was when the seeds of love grew between their friendships. Unfortunately ... on an official trip, my father died in an accident and from that moment on, I chose to live alone with my insurance money to raise me.

Being an orphan since I was a child, I was often ridiculed by other children. And it always pissed me off until I ended up crying. In that cry of mine, I would subconsciously call my mother loudly even though my mother never came even once to save me because of her really busy work.

I remember some of my old memories when I was a kid when I repeatedly called my mom. I also remember when my crying ended, I suddenly asked myself why I was crying and calling my mother. And the answer I get is that what I do is a commonplace thing that often happens when someone is afraid, pinched and depressed, will remember the person who is most important to him, he said, given the person he thought gave him security, given the person he thought could protect him.

From those memories, I realized the person who was most important to me was my mother. Although we fought many times, despite our repeated arguments, despite our repeated fights, I realized that I was always looking for my mother. As I currently do.

Alena along with Manda, Gala, Sadewa, Pak Rahmat and Surya are now standing in front of the gate of Durawa cemetery area. During these two days of living in the village of K, Alena along with Manda and Gala never felt a feeling of fear even when taking a night walk in the village of K. But this time it's different. As soon as he arrived in front of the funeral gate of Durawa, the pressure felt by Alena along with Manda and Gala changed. The night sky and the piercing cold of the night in the countryside, made the situation feel even more pressing. Several times Manda and Gala walked closer to Sadewa several times because they felt their hair stiffen. And Alena, who had never felt fear before, now felt a sense of fear that was overwhelming in her.

Whatisthis? Is this fear because of something unknown? Alena asked in herself as she pressed her chest several times and tried to calm down.

“We have arrived. Surya and I will wait at this gate as Sadewa.” requests The words of Mr. Grace made the atmosphere of the night a little gripping, slightly changed.

Surya who helped carry some of Gala's belongings, then gave Gala's bag to Gala.  Immediately, Gala took out all the equipment she had to retrieve the footage. From the mic that will be used by Manda, Alena and Sadewa, the camera will be carried by Gala to record the entirety equipped by infrared sensors, the camera will be, then a small camera that will be carried by Manda as an auxiliary camera and lighting that will be installed on the head of the Gala. After making sure all the equipment is installed and working, Gala along with Alena and Manda now just have to strengthen their mentality.

“This.” Sadewa took out a long rope from his pocket and placed it on Alena, Manda, Gala's wrist and his own wrist.

            “What is this?” Alena asked.

“To keep you from being separated from me. The overall length of this rope is 10 meters, so this rope should not affect your work when recording later especially Gala who carries enough equipment in her body and hands.”

“This is cool.” Manda looked at the rope in her palm as if she was looking at the red thread of soul mate in Chinese culture.

“This is for your guard and security.” Sadewa looked towards Gala and then alternately looked towards Manda and Alena.

Hearing Sadewa's words, Gala finally had no other choice but to accept the rope on her wrist that made some of her movements later limited. After bidding farewell with Rahmat and Surya, Alena and her team then started activating the camera, mic and started taking the footage.

“Goodnight screamnight fans. Long time no see, this time I was with the screamning team was in front of the gate of Durawa cemetery. Durawa's funeral is a challenge from the comments made on the screamnight account of the ssurya4 account. Congratulations to ssurya4 for successfully winning the challenge to bring the screamnight here .... “ Alena started the recording with her opening sentence from the reason she originally chose this location to introducing special grave guards at Durawa tomb.

“ ... Introduce the handsome man beside me named Sadewa-durawapati or better known as the special tomb keeper at Durawa's cemetery.” Before entering Durawa's funeral, Alena invited Sadewa to talk by asking some questions such as how long Sadewa had been a durawapati and how long the Sadewa family had been tied to Durawa's funeral.

“I have been durawapati for three years. After my father died, I left my job in the big city and came back here to replace my father's duties. When asked how long my family has been tied to Durawa's funeral, I don't know when exactly. But if I had to count it would probably have been over five hundred since I was the seventh generation to be durawapati ... “ Sadewa then gave a little story about the reason his family was tied to Durawa's funeral for generations.

After a short story from Sadewa, Alena then began discussing various small stories about Durawa's funeral and asked Sadewa about the stories that circulated.

“Durawa Cemetery is indeed not like most other funerals that can be entered by everyone easily. Durawa Cemetery is a regular cemetery if it is daytime, but not for night. According to my ancestors' stories, the land in this cemetery is a sacred land where this land is the land where the founder of this village used to be often imprisoned. Being familiar with this land, when death came to the founder of this village, he asked to be buried in this land and after that, he asked to be buried, all the descendants of the founder of this village are also buried in this village ...  “

After giving the same explanation that Alena had heard, Sadewa ended his brief explanation. Alena then turned to discuss the gate that became the entrance as well as the exit of the Durawa cemetery and asked questions again to Sadewa.

“Why is the entrance and exit the same door?”

“I don't know the exact reason but from the hereditary story in the family, the entrance and exit are made only one purpose so that the durawapati on duty do not have trouble to keep watch. Because durawapati on duty is only one person, keeping two doors is a difficult thing.”

Hearing that answer, Alena felt a little dissatisfied. The big gate that looked old and a little scary might not have a big fence but somehow when looking into the cemetery from that gate, Alena felt like she was seeing a different nature.

“To answer your piled curiosity, let's go inside Durawa cemetery ... “ Alena along with Manda, Gala and Sadewa started walking inside the Durawa cemetery area.

Wusshhh ..a small wind blew as Alena walked in and at a glance, Alena was like hearing a small voice whispering in her ear. “Stop, Alena! Don't go in again! Get out of here now!”
