Sadewa's plan is completely insane! The sentence swirled around in Alena's mind as she looked at Sadewa who was standing next to her at the back of Durawa's funeral.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Do you think of me as a crazy guy?”
Hukes. Alena chokes on hearing Sadewa's question which matches what she thinks. How could he know what I was thinking? Could it be .. He has the same talent as Grandpa Abinawa? Huft .. It could have happened. Who would have known if Sadewa might be connected to Grandpa Abinawa?
“Why are you quiet, Alena?”
Alena shook her head and attempted to divert their conversation. “I was just thinking if this plan would really work?? Didn't you say earlier that you could only summon soul chains to capture ten ghosts? Did I remember wrong??”
Sadewa raised her hand and flicked her finger on Alena's forehead. “You're pretty good too. Why in a time like this does your memory work so well, Alena?”
“Auuwww!” Alena immediately held her reddened forehead due to the flick of a finger from Sadewa. “Why snap your finger on my forehead?? Don't you know before I became a youtuber, I was an employee at a big company??”
“Ohh ... “ Sadewa looked at Alena with a curious look. “Then why did you finally quit that big company and decided to become a youtuber?”
“I don't see a future in my work. I felt the work was boring and tormented myself both mentally and physically. So ... I decided to go out and find a job that fits my heart.” Alena gave an explanation with pride.
“So the current job is the job that makes you feel happy?”
“Ya.”
“Even though should be stuck here-on this land? Together with the ghosts??” Sadewa asked quickly.
“Ya.”
“Haha.” Sadewa laughed a little. “New first time I met a human like you, Alena. If you can .. someday I want to mengeumumikan yourself this.”
“Why?” Alena's curious.
“Because you are a rare human being who does not even feel afraid or disturbed when trapped in this land. You will make evidence in case there are other humans trapped in this land again.”
Buk. Alena raised her hand and hit the shoulder from Sadewa. “Although your face is beautiful, sometimes your words can be very annoying!”
“Thank you for the compliment.” Sadewa replied still with a small laugh.
Alena was annoyed to hear her ridicule being turned into praise. “Ah stop!!! Back to our current problem! Are you sure you can hold Genderuwo's army up ahead?? Didn't you say they were quite a lot because there was their nest??”
“I can hold them even if I don't have as much time as holding one or ten ghosts. Since my energy is limited and I am still new as a durawapati, the more ghosts I endure the shorter the time I can give. So ... the rest depends on you.” Sadewa took something out of his pocket and gave Alena a bottle of water.
“What is this?” alena asked when she received the bottle from Sadewa.
“You can say this is holy water. Find .... genderuwo the oldest of them in less than ten minutes. Then throw a little by little this water on him to make him talk about Pocong 1.” Sadewa gave a brief explanation to Alena.
“But ... how can I find the oldest genderuwo among them?? And again ... I guess the back there doesn't include Durawa's funeral section, can't I go there?” Alena asks the question again and makes Sadewa feel upset because Alena is too critical as a human.
Huft. Alena breathed her breath and gave herself courage. Now .... in her mind, Alena remembers how genderuwo pulled Manda and herself to the point of being trapped in Durawa's burial ground. Alena had no intention of reconnecting with the monstrous creature, but now to find the desire of Pocong 1, Alena must reconnect with the creature again.
“I can! I can do it!!” Alena gathered her courage by saying the sentence to herself.
“Good. We ready now??” Sadewa asked to confirm Alena's condition.
“Ya.” Alena nodded her head steadily due to her already gathered courage.
Sadewa then takes Alena into the back of the Durawa cemetery where the genderuwo nest is located. The place was very different from the Durawa burial ground where Alena lived all this time. The land that became the nest of genderuwo had a more concentrated air, more stifling and more foul-smelling. Alena even had to hold her breath several times because she could not stand the pungent smell on the ground. Alena even wondered why the trees on the ground did not die because of the stifling air and made Alena nauseous. And once again ... Sadewa gave the answer to the question in Alena's mind without Alena having to say it through her mouth.
“This land will look ordinary in front of the eyes of humans, especially humans who do not have the talent to see subtle creatures. Some humans would not smell this pungent smell, some humans would not even be bothered with the bad aura from this land. But some humans who have little to see and feel supernatural beings, will be disturbed as we are today.”
Alena and Sadewa had just stepped inside the genderuwo nest ground behind Durawa's funeral when their footsteps were stopped by two large, bushy creatures it's gruesome.
“Duravapati!! Why did you come in here?” One of the girls asked Sadewa.
“I want to meet your elders. Something I want to ask him.” Sadewa pulled Alena behind her to protect Alena from the gaze of the two genderuwo who were currently looking at Alena with a disgusting look.
“We will let the durawapati into our land and ask our elders if durawapati give the humans behind durawapati to us. Coincidentally our elders are looking for the 100th new concubine.”
Alena shuddered at the genderuwo speech. Hiiii!!! Looking at those disgusting faces, now I ask??? Alena looked towards Sadewa with a suspicious look. Why didn't Sadewa go alone to this land and ask himself? Why take me?
“Listen, Alena!!” Sadewa whispered to Alena. “Be prepared!!”
“Ya.” Alena had wanted to ask a question that was currently troubling her mind. But Alena paused the question because she heard a whisper from Sadewa who gave her a cue.
“Unfortunately .. I cannot give this woman behind me because she is currently under my protection.”
Sadewa's words made Alena stunned to hear it. If you have to pull back all the things that happened to Alena, what happened to her until finally trapped in the burial ground Durawa is not entirely the fault of Sadewa. But Sadewa continues to guard and protect Alena as if what happened to Alena was Sadewa's fault. Alena smiled slightly and finally knew the reason the ghosts at Durawa cemetery fell in love with Sadewa. You are not only beautiful, but your heart .. turns out to be good too. It's fair that all the female ghosts at Durawa's funeral are infatuated with you, Sadewa.
“Durawapati really won't give the woman to our elders even though it was the elder who made the woman in the burial ground of Durawa?” Genderuwo asked Sadewa again and this time slightly raised his tone so that his interlocutor felt frightened.
“Yes. I will never give a woman to your elders!”
The two genderuwo in front of Alena and Sadewa smiled. That smile made Alena shudder knowing that smile was not a good sign. Not long after, the two gendaruwo shouted loudly. The loud cry raised Alena's ears and forced Alena to cover both ears with both hands.
Kv .. buk .. buk. Not long after, Alena heard a loud sound of footsteps approaching her and Sadewa was. The clattering of the feet grew and made the ground around Alena and Sadewa tremble.
“Just because you failed to find out, you still have a replacement!! Don't think we're afraid of you, durawapati!!” Genderuwo who was yelling earlier stopped his shout and spoke with a proud smile in front of Alena and Sadewa.
A replacement? Alena asked inside her mind while looking towards Sadewa.
“Prepare, Alena!!” Sadewa gave Alena a warning.
