Screamnights

Screamnights
trapped part 1

“How about Manda and Gala? Are they both okay?” Alena asked again.

Sadewa stopped her footsteps when she heard Alena's question. “You .. seems like a good person. At a time like this you are still worried about your two friends when one of them is the cause of you being here and experiencing something scary like that. You didn't know it took me long to find you.”

After saying that, Sadewa pulled Alena's hand to continue their small journey out of Durawa's burial area.

“Only those I have, Sadewa. Although sometimes Manda and Gala repeatedly annoyed me, but their kindness was far greater than the annoyance. I wouldn't be able to make a big screamnight name like this if it wasn't for the two of them.”

Sadewa who was leading the way in front, nodded her head hearing Alena's words. “Yes, it seems like you are a true good person.”

“Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment from you to me.”

A moment of silence for some time. Alena follows Sadewa who leads the way to take her out of the cemetery and Sadewa is silent as she pulls Alena's hand to follow her. And after more than half an hour of walking, Alena saw the Durawa cemetery gate which became the entrance as well as the exit of the Durawa burial area.

Alena was already happy when she saw the gate because she hoped to meet her two friends soon. But when Alena walked following Sadewa through the gate to get out of the cemetery area, Sadewa's hand grip in Alena's hand was forcibly removed by something and not long after ... Alena bounced backwards away from the Durawa gate.

“Akkkhhhh!!” Alena screamed because she felt her body hit something hard before finally crashing and falling down.

“Sial!!” Sadewa, who had just stepped two feet out of the gate of the Durawa burial area, hurriedly re-entered the Durawa burial area to help Alena. “You okay, Alena?”

“Just a little pain.” Alena tried to get up with the help of Sadewa while enduring the pain in the back of her body that hit the ground surface earlier. Alena looked towards the gate and found nothing blocking her footsteps to get out of the burial area. “What happened? Why does it feel like I hit something and can't get out?”

“When I first met you, I already felt a little suspicious. Should have been .. from the beginning I forbade you from coming here. I thought that rope could protect you as long as it was connected to me. But the rope was cut off.”

“You mean, I can't get out of here?” Alena asked Sadewa to make sure.

“Yes, you can't get out of here.” Sadewa gave an answer with a tone of regret as if Sadewa was the cause of Alena who was trapped in the cemetery area.

“Why? Why can't I get out of here?” Alena still doesn't understand.

“You ... what other destination did you have when you walked into Durawa's funeral, Alena?” Sadewa turned to ask Alena and spontaneously Alena immediately put on her surprised face when she heard the question asked by Sadewa.

“What does that have to do with me being stuck here?” Instead of answering questions from the durawapati, Alena turned to ask questions.

“The reason the gate didn't let you out was because you had a purpose to be cooped up here. Now tell me ... What other purpose has brought you here, Alena? I have to know that reason, to help you get out of here.”

“What are the ghosts here also confined here because they have a reason?” Once again, Alena turned to ask Sadewa a question.

“Ya and that's the real task of Durawapati. We, the durawapati, got the ghosts trapped in this cemetery area by instilling in their minds that they had a reason to be cooped up here. Whether it's the desire that has not been granted in the world or the reason they will turn into demons when haunting humans, whatever it is I try so that the ghosts can not pass through the gates of Durawa.”

“Ya.”

“Then ... I'll be here for a while. Honestly, I do have another reason to come here, Sadewa. I wish I could have gotten that when I came here. So ... I'll stay a while here, to get what I'm looking for.” Alena answered casually.

“You?? How could you think of doing that?? Aren't you worried about your friends?? Why are you saying that now when you're out there, Gala and Manda are worried about you?” Sadewa tried to convince Alena and persuade her to let go of the reason that made her unable to get out of the gate of Durawa.

“This opportunity will not come twice, Sadewa. Lifetime .. I couldn't see the creatures called by the ghost's name. Even though I have come to famous places that are horror and mystical, I still cannot see them. Even when Gala and Manda said several times that they could see ghosts, I still could not see them. So ... I won't let go of an opportunity that only comes this once when all this time I've been trying to get to see them.”

“Alena, you!!! The reason you can see them is-“

“Free you persuaded me, Sadewa. I stick to my decision, I stay here for a while and find what I'm looking for.”

Sadewa had wanted to say the reason why Alena finally could see the ghosts she had always wanted to see. But Alena cuts off Sadewa's speech and finally ... Sadewa had no choice but to agree to Alena's decision because no matter how much Sadewa insisted, Alena would still not be able to come out if her decision did not change.

“Alright if you force to stay, Alena. But there are a few things you should know, Alena.” Sadewa gives Alena another warning.

“What is it?”

“Serent days. You only have a hundred days to find what you're looking for.”

“I understand. One hundred days is not too short a time and I think it's enough for me.”

Sadewa frowned at the light answer from Alena. “Listen, Alena! You won't be able to count days easily in this world because when you're stuck here, there's only night here.”

“You can help me to count. Aren't you the guardian of the tomb here, Sadewa?” Once again, Alena replied in her light tone.

“It was true. But there are times when I might not be able to come here.”

“I will wait for you and I promise..I will definitely find what I am looking for in less than a hundred days. Is there anything else I should pay attention to?” Alena asked Sadewa.

“One more thing that matters. Here .... You will interact with the ghosts you have met.”

“Ya, sure. I won't be able to avoid them even though I feel scared.”

“Remember this, Alena. Even if they look good, never trust them! You and them are different! You're alive and they're dead, whatever happens don't ever believe them!”

“I understand, I will do what you tell me, Sadewa.”
