After going through the winding stairs, Zoe and I finally arrived at the highest floor of the building. I didn't expect that there was a large room designated as a recreation room in this dormitory. I looked around, and quite a lot of girls were active in a room that had a lot of these big windows. My hand that was grasped by Zoe, now tightens. My body was slightly docked at Zoe because it was uncomfortable for the children to look at me. I don't know what, but one of them somehow puts me under pressure. The breath I breathe is not able to satisfy my lungs. Zoe then led me to walk quickly out of the recreation room to the rooftop park.
“You okay? You look a little pale.”
“I'm fine. Really am. But why are they looking at me with such a look?”
"Because you're special, Kim," said Zoe softly.
Of course I was wondering. When I asked Zoe to explain her point, my friend just laughed so I concluded that Zoe was just joking.
It was fortunate to know that outside the building the air felt cooler, although actually the strange feeling I felt in the recreation room earlier could not really disappear. I then tried not to care as much as I normally would when I was at McReych. “So, where is Max?”
“Oh, so you can't wait to meet Max?”
“As far as you go, Zoe!”
After pinching my cheek anxiously, Zoe pulled my hand to follow her walking in a garden filled with plant decorations. The blocks of plants that form winding paths and small spaces that can be occupied make it look like a labyrinth. I threw my face the other way when a group of girls looked at me. But what I realized then was the sound of a man laughing from the other side of the park.
Isn't my place on foot on top of the girls' dorm? And yes, we will meet Max!
Suddenly I held Zoe's hand so that my best friend stopped.
“What's up, Kim?” zoe asked as she looked at me.
“Isn't this a girls' dormitory? Why is there a guy?”
“Emily hasn't told you yet? So, the park in this rooftop is indeed connecting each other dormitories boys and girls.”
I followed Zoe's line of sight on the bridge as a link.
“Skybridge? How could? If the boys get into our dorm how?”
Zoe shook her head. “Take it easy. The guard here is pretty good. They will not be able to enter because they are not girls, nor vice versa.”
Although I still did not understand enough, I refrained from accepting and focusing on the steps I was making again. We then walked back to the park. But the one who was waiting for him has not come. Max Borsche, don't come out of that bridge. I looked around, from where I stood I could see our school being separated by the flashing trees and hedges. The back garden of the school could not be seen, but instead the forest behind the school looked increasingly gloomy, even though the sun was still scorching. My deepest heart told me that there was something in the forest.
“The forest looks bleak. Is it true that our school students are afraid to go in there?” ask Zoe.
“How do you know, Kim?”
“When I got lost yesterday, there were no students I met on my way there. There were only 2 guys when I got to the back garden.”
“Wow. Those guys are brave enough. Actually the school does not allow students into the forest because there was once an incident of a student lost there. When he came home, the disciple always told him if he met a fairy in the forest. Unfortunately no one believed it and many thought it was crazy, until suddenly he just disappeared.”
"Where did he go?" manya curious.
"Some people believe he ran away from school because of embarrassment. However, not a single item was carried by him and remained in his room. There are also those who argue that he went into the forest and did not return because he was eaten by wild animals."
"Did not one of the school parties go through the forest?"
"It has. The school has received the attention of the mayor. Several volunteers sprang up, volunteering to join the search for the missing student. But similarly, those who entered the forest ended up lost for dozens of days and came out with stories similar to those lost disciples."
"No. I just believe it, and a handful of others."
I was stunned when I realized Zoe's sad looking gaze and smile. Mum-up. Really, I don't know what to say while I myself am just a new person who soon moved to this city. We then spent a few jokes to ponder with each other's thoughts.
Until Zoe clapped both hands because she realized that the goods promised to Max had not been carried away. He hurriedly went to take her to his room after asking me to wait in this place. Maybe after this Max came, he told me.
I am now alone. So I decided to sit on the park bench. Once in a while someone or two passed by and looked at me, but I was too busy with my thoughts that I kept my head full.
I can't stand it either.
"aaa! It's only been a few days in Fairille, but a lot of things have been frustrating for me" I said frustratedly in the empty air. "Hope I didn't talk wrong to Zoe."
"What's the thing that bothers you?"
"A lot of know. Know not-" my words stopped. I looked back and found someone sitting behind a plant that covered part of his body. Apparently it was that person who responded to my rant. Silvery hair, gray-mee eyes made fixated on staring at him. I then regained my senses and set up my body to take a few steps back. My screams came out. "H-ghost!"
"ft. Where there are ghosts in broad daylight like this," said the stranger among his chuckles. He stood up and cleaned his dirty clothes. "You're disturbing my sleep, miss. Responsibility."
My forehead shrinks. I was no longer afraid after believing that the person in front of me was now truly human. "Imresponsible? You joke. It's a public place. You should sleep in your room, sir."
The guy approached me, and continued to slash the distance between us. I rewinded my steps, but stopped at the guardrail that had stuck to my back. Until the guy stopped close to me. I choked, frozen in place, trapped in front of a body higher than mine. The man's face then drew closer, his warm breath passing through my cheeks that had blushed and ended up sitting in my ears.
Her sexy voice whispered.
"Whoever disturbs my sleep, I will not forgive him. It's an unwritten rule. Everyone here knows that, Princess."
All of a sudden, my chest was pounding violently. My eyes widened in shock from being surprised by the man's words. In fact, both of my hands that were holding the trellis of the fence slowly began to tremble.
Why is he threatening me like this? Why would she call me 'master princess'?
"Schulz!"
Someone shouted my margaret. When I saw at the farthest end of the garden turn, there was a male figure with glasses with a cast in one of the hands.
That's Noah Huxley.
"Well?"
However, though I was a little relieved by Noah's presence; though I wanted to go and push the man before me; though I heard the approaching sound of running I believed it was Noah, I heard, the man did not want to let go of me and continued to hold my hand tightly.
"Where are you going, Princess? I'm your prince."
What the fuck!
"You're stupid!"
Out of nowhere, I punched the guy in the face so strongly that he screamed in pain and freed my other hand. Suddenly I ran away to Noah and grabbed Noah's hand that was not wrapped in a cast so we could run away together.
