After school, Zoe no longer visits me. During the break he told me that in the next few days the student committee would be preoccupied with preparing for the school celebration, because it was likely that Zoe did not have much free time. When I offered help under our agreement with Leonal Ordt, I still had no job allowance. I see Max isn't around yet either. They said they'd need our help in about two days.
Then I certainly don't mind. I went straight back to the dorm and spent some time alone with my phone which I barely watched for 24 hours. Until the last lesson I completely forgot to check my phone. Gossip is actually able to get me away from that thing and spend time with Zoe.
Gosh darn. In fact, the series I never usually missed haven't seen until today.
When I was busy watching the series, I forgot all the peculiarities that happened in this school. I had enough fun until it changed nights. After dinner and cleaning myself, I continued watching the other series until I fell asleep. The sky was shining sunlight when I opened my eyes.
Just like yesterday, the school was so calm and tranquility helped master the classroom atmosphere because there was no Frederick Elford around. I don't know what kept that guy from going to school. When the teacher asked and no student knew the reason, the teacher was just acting ordinary, as if the man's absence was frequent.
Entering the break, I opened a message from Zoe who said that the girl could not accompany me to lunch. Zoe even just ate a sandwich like yesterday while taking care of the duties given by the committee chairman. Once again I tried to offer help, but again my offer was rejected. I went to the cafeteria to eat alone. Even though I had no appetite, I forced myself to spend the mashed potatoes and peas in front of me. How I tried, still, the food ended up inexhaustible and I carried it to the pile of containers before returning to class.
On my bench I then busied dirk to play mobile phone. I see, there's still about 20 minutes before the break ends. There was no reply to a chat from Zoe in the notification, unfortunately, which somehow made me feel lonely. I took a breath and looked out the window. The greenery around was completely different when I turned my head outside the classroom in my old school. When I returned my gaze to the phone screen, my finger danced on it, and my phone screen was pointed at the photo gallery.
I blinked and reflexed my body when I realized the large collection of photos during my life at McReych. I saw again, those photos were the most I spent time with Marsha, Sophie, and Felly. Unknowingly, the corner of my lips lifted into a small smile, reminiscent of our good times back in McReych. Especially our photos when we have fun together. Either in cafes, in amusement parks, even just take pictures around the school.
I miss them. I miss McReych.
Suddenly, there was an explosion in my mind. My wish then led me to open a group chat room where my friends and I were. The history chat is still the same. The last time we talked was about my move to Fairille. Then, none of them responded to my message. I still wonder if they are angry with me. Because after moving, I no longer have the fun chat with them, even our promises can no longer be fulfilled.
However, really, my guilt was heightened even more after I reopened the chat room. With the courage that I gathered, I also ended up typing one by one letters there to form a sentence that I then sent.
'You guys how are you? I miss you guys.'
My heart beats faster. I'm certainly nervous. Afraid that they would again be indifferent and just read my message. However, apparently my fear did not happen, because I saw one of them typing a message. That person is Sophie. There was a pinch of pleasure in my mind that was expanding more and more.
A message appeared. From Sophie.
'Oh, I thought I was out of this group.'
I'm choked. Time seems to stop suddenly. I was too shocked to respond.
Two other people in the group then also typed in two other sentences.
One from Felly, and the last from Marsha.
'Hi, Kimberly. I thought your phone wasn't connected to the internet. Isn't your new residence secluded?'
Please, don't.
Shaking, both of my hands then tried to hold the phone properly and play my thumb on it. But before I managed to send a reply, the group was disbanded. Instantly my emotional overflow turned into a puddle of water in the eye. My tears just spilled in my waking silence.
What's my fault with them?
...***...
The bells ringing home from school have sounded. While the class children had left the class, I was still silent in my seat. My daydream was still fixed on the open school textbook, too shocked to recall the changing attitudes of the three people who used to be very familiar with me.
Marsha, Sophie, and Felly-why did they change?
I then opened the phone again, but this time it was not the chat application that I opened, but the Mcgram application where people are free to upload their daily photos. My intention to find out about the lives of the three people was quickly answered without having to open their profiles. In the feed page Mcgram directly missed. Felly's photo was clearly displayed in front of me: a picture of the three of them without me. Marsha, Sophie, and Felly are attending prom night school. They look more mature with a pretty sexy dress. They smiled and the three men looked very happy.
Without me.
I can't hide my explosive loneliness. Plus the feeling of betrayal that scratches the mind. Again, my tears flowed. After crushing the tears on my cheek violently, I slammed the phone into my bag and textbook, which was originally on the table, and then walked out of class. Instead of going back to the dorm and resting to calm my mind, I went to the back garden of the school with a movement that was getting faster to run, to the point of not hearing when someone called. I really can't think straight.
Clear air rushed into my lungs as the large carved door had passed through. I ignored my gasping breath and mixed with emotions. I climbed the stairs until I got near the fairy prince statue. Not finding a single person around, my defenses slowly collapsed. I fell on a rocky floor that was no longer intact. Tiringly, I leaned my back against the boundary of the pool.
"Sorry I'm here. I want to calm down."
Maybe I'm crazy.
"Of course you wouldn't mind, would you, Prince? You're just a statue, not a real prince."
Yeah, maybe I'm crazy for talking to that broken fairy statue. But I don't care. The thing I need now is a place to calm down, and this abandoned garden is the most comfortable place I can find in this place, with no one to disturb.
"I want to go back to McReych" I said, drowning my face in the folds of my hands over my legs that were bent in front of my chest. I bit my lower lip in my sobs, trying to calm down. "Fairille... Can I really live happily here? I miss McReych. I miss my friends."
The wind suddenly rattled from the direction of the forest. I was shocked and tried to protect myself by hugging and tightening my legs. After things went back to how they were, I peeked in and opened my eyes. There, precisely in the forest, I saw something glowing that was drifting rapidly from tree to tree.
"God?"
