Secret Admirer; In The Land Of Fairies

Secret Admirer; In The Land Of Fairies
09. Dormitory

The day of the move arrived. As in previous days, the sky still seemed clear and there were only a handful of clouds in the sky as the car driving me was poking through the quiet streets of Fairille. Unfortunately, Mom, Dad, and Ezra can only take me to the dormitory gate.

There, at a gate smaller than the gates of Fairille High School, I was greeted by a blonde female dormitory head who never let a smile off her face. Seeing how the woman greeted me with a slight lift of her skirt and bow made me think of the royal-themed films I had seen at Mcflix. The burly and tall man came to bring my things to the room. Just before I was invited to walk around into the dormitory building for the princess by a girl who was apparently the head of the dormitory as well as the elder sister, I realized that the building that had a courtyard full of flowers looked more like a manicured old mansion than the dormitory building I had imagined before.

Especially when entering the building. The interior is not much different than the paintings I've seen at the McReych city museum. I can guess, many details of the carving that will not be completed in a day, or vice versa if using the latest advanced engine output. Then I thought again, the atmosphere felt similar to the school building, even though I regretted it, I don't really remember. If only the students of the school had not given me such a strange look, maybe I could enjoy the school atmosphere back then - and it seemed like it was happening again in this dormitory when the dormitory girls we were hanging out with were looking at me.

While walking down the corridor and showing the dorm facilities such as dining room and laundry, the girl named Emily Rosebolt explained some of the dormitory rules that are often violated by students, which are often broken by students, such as going out beyond the curfew or making a fuss that annoys others. Although the rules mentioned one by one by the senior are actually quite common, I still appreciate it by listening well. Beside me I can't control my eyes that occasionally look around.

We arrived at the door of a room numbered 221. I heard, every room is occupied by two people. I wondered what kind of person my roommate might be right now behind this door.

“I hope you'll be comfortable staying here, Miss Schulz. If there's something you need, you can tell me,” said the owner of Emily Rosebolt's name. The girl then saw a beautiful rosegold-colored watch on her wrist. “Actually there are a few more places I want to show you, but apparently time has passed and I have another agenda.”

I felt bad for a moment. My body then imitated the greetings of the head of the hostel by looking down slightly and moving both hands beside the body - because, you know, I was not wearing a dress, but a thin shirt overwritten with a jumpsuit. “Oh, no need to worry, Miss Rosebolt. You can continue your activities. Thank you for accompanying me around.”

But before Emily and I separated, a familiar figure who later filled my days more colorful came.

“Kim, you've come!” It was Zoe, Zoe Borsche, who then realized that there was someone other than myself here, “Emily! It was you!”

It seems they know each other. Oh, of course you are. Zoe seems to be one of the important students here, while Emily is the head of the girls' dorm. Moreover, both of them are also friendly and have a beautiful face.

“Hai, Zoe. You're right here. Looks like you guys are pretty familiar." I saw Emily seem to be in a hurry. Looks like Zoe's arrival made Emily happy and forgot about her business. "What if you accompany Miss Schulz around?”

“Hey, isn't that your job?” squeeze Zoe with a ignorant tone.

“Come, Zoe. I have a meeting I have to attend–now.”

“Good, good. You'll have to buy me later, Emily.”

“Thank you! I'll treat you if you take Max with you, Zoe." Emily, who was about to leave, suddenly returned to face me. "Oh, I almost forgot something. It's a document from the school, a book of information and rules you can read, a room key, and a box containing something you should always carry, Miss Schulz."

The items mentioned by Emily were then given to me.

"I'm sorry, but I really have to go now. Have a good day, Miss Schulz."

I subconsciously waved at Emily who had gone away, instead of saluting her as before. Then when my eyes and Zoe met each other, we simultaneously smiled. Zoe then hugged me happily.

“Kya! It feels great that we can stay in the same place.”

“Wow, relax, Zoe!” calming says. But I can't hide my laughter humming along with Zoe's.

I knocked on the door of the room. Not worried, at first. But when I realized the occupants of my room never opened the door, I began to think, what would my roommate not like with my presence who would be his roommate? Not wanting to be overthinking, I opened the door with the key given by Emily.

We went into a room that was quite spacious. Like the information I got before, in the room there are 2 beds, study tables, and wardrobes that are opposite each other. One of them was empty, which must have been mine, while the other had objects dominated by the white color of someone else who was of course the other occupants in my room.

Zoe then took a look at the thing on my prospective roommate's study desk. Not finding a single picture frame that could show how my roommate looked like, she ended up sitting on my bed. “Do you know the name of the child who is rooming with you?”

I shook my head in passing because I was busy arranging my clothes in the closet. Zoe then approached me and helped arrange my belongings on the study table, including some polaroid photos that I shot on the side of the wall of my study desk. Without a cue, a protest tweet suddenly came out of the girl's mouth.

“Why are there no photos with me?” zoe asked as she arranged the last book on my study table. He who was still pouting then sat on the chair. “Not fair. I'm your best friend too. Look at them sticking to that wall.”

Zoe's index finger refers to a polaroid photograph of my friends in McReych-Marsha, Felly, and Sophie. Even though we are no longer in contact, I still want to remember them. Who would have thought Zoe would be jealous like this. How adorable. However, I don't remember if Zoe and I ever took a picture together, because the polaroid I have is kind of a direct print.

“I don't remember us ever taking pictures other than on mobile. Want a photo now?”

Zoe's eyes suddenly sparkled, she suddenly jumped from her seat. While I was looking for the camera, Zoe was seen practicing posing in front of the camera. I saw him just laughing. Until the ringing of the phone rang out, making Zoe stop the action and immediately pick up the phone that apparently came from her phone.

“Yes? What's up, Max?”

Max's? That's...Max's?

Unknowingly, I covered my lips. My hand played the polaroid in my hand with the origin, while my ears silently heard the talk of the Borsche brothers. Looks like they'll meet in a minute.

As Zoe hung up and suddenly spoke to me, I almost dropped my camera.

“Kim! How about we go to rooftop?”

“R-rooftop?”

“Yup! I had an appointment with Max there. Oh, you can meet him too. I'll introduce my brother to my best friend.”

“T-wait. Am I not interrupting?”

“Of course not! Come!”

“B-how about our photo?”

“We can do it on rooftop. Oh, you can also take a photo with Max! You have a crush on him, right?”

“No! Why do you like to mess with me anyway. Then keep going, I don't want to come. Huh.”

Zoe laughed, then hugged me in a frenzy. “Handering, Kimberly dear. Don't get mad so dong!”

Of course it's not me who has a crush on Max. Didn't Zoe notice Emily's reaction earlier? I'm sure that's the head of the girls' dormitory who really likes Max! Just look at it later! I wouldn't go wrong with Leonal or Tommy!
