[Sign 1: Aries] Tangaroa (2)

The air hung oddly, as if motionless. The sea breeze that was supposed to blow by the shore was like being forced to stop. Anaru recognized these signs. The darkness that seemed to swallow him round and round, also the stifling air that set up the fur of Rome. Kinokambe. The young man pulled out his small knife that was neatly sheathed at the waist. So did Airyung. The two now stand on each other's backs, waiting for the arrival of danger from nowhere to appear.

Suddenly a distinctive growling sound began to be heard, followed by several pairs of red-colored eyes that panned towards them. Woe not only one, but three giant jet-furred creatures are growling at the cornered Anaru and Airyung. Anaru's heart beat unnaturally because of the horrors that began to run. His hands and feet were still being crushed with rocks, there was no time to take them off. With the remnants of his courage, Anaru could only chant prayers to the patron goddess god Khitai.

In the next instant, the three creatures pounced in unison towards Anaru and Airyung. Airyung nimbly slapped his two long swords towards the two creatures before him. Damn for Anaru, another being he could not deal with perfectly. His little sword was too blunt to stab at the kinokambe that attacked him. There is no time to escape!

At the right moment suddenly a huge Mandau shot out from the direction of the ocean, stuck directly in the left eyeball kinokambe who was about to pounce on Anaru. The Kinokambe was thrown to the side and then growled furiously, making a very terrible sound. Spontaneous Anaru turned towards the coming of Mandau. Faintly from the direction of the ocean, appeared three small fishing boats that began to pull over on the beach piggir. One of Mandau's owner figures is very recognizable Anaru. Tangaroas.

As the darkness unfolded, the appearance of Tangaroa brought hope to Anaru. The man was large in stature with burly muscles that looked strong. To the left right of his waist, there were two Mandau sarongs carved out of wood. One of the Mandau was in his hand, the other was stuck in the eyes of the kinokambe that attacked the Anaru.

“Tangaroa!” anaru looked excited.

“You okay?” ask Tangaroa. His voice is deep and powerful. Tangaroa then helped Anaru stand up then, preparing to attack the kinokambe that had shot towards him.

A fierce battle ensued between Airyung and Tangaroa against three kinokambe tails that attacked blindly in the darkness. Anaru could not see clearly because the battle happened very quickly plus the absence of illuminating light. He only occasionally saw black and white bubbles that were milling around him. The sound of growls clashing with the sound of swords splitting the air into the backdrop of that fierce battle.

“Nak, come here. You must move aside so as not to get hurt,” suddenly a Khitai-speaking voice spoke to Anaru.

It turned out that behind him was already a fisherman pulling him back, away from the place of the fight. But Anaru brushed off the nelaya's hand. Instead, he took off the rock on his hands and feet.

“I am also a fighter,” said Anaru without hesitation.

The young man stood up, clasped his little knife tightly and tried to focus on the movements of the blind creatures. The fisherman, who was trying to help Anaru, finally gave up on persuading him. He ran back to save himself.

A kinokambe figure finally caught Anaru's eye, darting past him quickly. Anaru immediately jumped up while pinning her little dagger onto the kinokambe's back. As a result, the body of Anaru was carried away by the movement of the creature. The smell of bacin immediately ambushed Anaru's nose as his body stuck to the kinokambe's back. The feathers were sharp like thorns that directly pierced the skin of Anaru.

Anaru was trying to maintain his position by grasping a pinch of the creature's fur. Fatal decision, because the activity made his palm severely injured by the puncture of the kinokambe feather. But Anaru survives. He then pulled out his dagger and stabbed it all over the kinokambe's body. The fierce roar immediately echoed deafeningly. Anaru reflexively let go of her grip in surprise at hearing that roar. He fell down and his body was thrown several meters above the sand.

Anaru had not yet answered, a kinokambe darting about to pounce on them. Airyung nimbly swung one of his swords with a slashing motion. The other sword he immediately thrust right into the corner between the two kinokambe eyes. The Kinokambe immediately turned into black smoke and disappeared.

Airyung immediately raised Anaru's arm, helping the young man to his feet. Anaru was a little relieved because at least one of the kinokambe was successfully subverted. But his relief did not last long. Within just a few meters of where he and Airyung were standing, Anaru witnessed the Tangaroa struggle which was crushed by two kinokambe tails. Tangaroa is not very good. The man clearly looked desperate.

Airyung immediately ran about to help Tangaroa when the nightmare happened. It happened so fast that Airyung could not prevent it. One of the kinokambe standing behind Tangaroa suddenly ambushed the man while grappling with another creature. Darting as fast as a storm, the kinokambe devoured Tangaroa in one swallow. No blood, no body. Tangaroa simply vanished before the eyes of Anaru and Airyung.

Airyung shouted furiously at the scene. The shout was followed by a very deadly sword strike and directly hit the kinokambe that ate Tangaroa. The next second Airyung again swung his powerful sword to attack other living creatures. The two kinokambe turned into dark smoke and disappeared.

Suddenly the moonlight returned. The near-death bonfire began to blaze again brightly, as if nothing had happened. The sea breeze again blew and the waves were heard again. The smell of bacin from the kinokambe-kinokambe body has also disappeared, replaced by a salty sea aroma.

Anaru was still flabbergasted by the events he had just witnessed. A man of great stature who Anaru believed to be the strongest man in the Khitai, vanished just as he was preyed upon by the kinokambe. Anaru was at a loss for words. His body that was scarred and bleeding everywhere was completely disregarded. This was the first time Anaru had witnessed the savagery and cruelty of the Evil Spirit. They spread horror on all living creatures. This can't be allowed.

“Anaru? You all right? You bleed a lot. Let's go back to the village. Your wound must be treated immediately.” Airyung immediately approached Anaru, sending the young man towards the village.

“Airyung, what happened to Tangaroa?” tanya Anaru was still gathering the rest of her consciousness.

Airyung sighed slowly. “He died,” the answer was short.

“Why didn't you save her?!” sergeant Anaru with a high tone.

“I can't fight while keeping two weaklings! Against three choruses! You think you're the only one who can get angry?! I'm threatened to fail to save the man in the prophecy!” exclaim Airyung no less wrathful.

Anaru termangu. He was angry at himself. Had he been stronger, he would not have been a burden and he would have been able to protect Tangaroa.
