Just before the diabos reached Chiara's body, suddenly a silver arrow slammed into the evil spirit until it pierced into his head. Chiara was so shocked that she could say nothing. The body of the diabos was thrown down to the floor next to Chiara and then froze and disappeared like a dust fragment.
Chiara who was still in shock was speechless and just sat stiffly motionless. Shortly afterwards, the sound of his window flicking open. Sontak Chiara turned to the window of her room and was shocked to find a silver-haired young man crouching in the window frame.
“Are you okay?” asked the young man with his short silver hair fluttering about in the night wind.
“Si, who are you?” muttered Chiara stammered.
“Sorry to surprise you. I ... uh, choru hunter,” replied the white fur-robed young man.
“Choru?” tanya Chiara did not understand.
The young man nodded slowly as he pointed to where the former corpse of the diabos had disappeared. “The evil spirit,” he said short.
“You mean diabos?”
“Yes. That's what you call it.” The young man replied as he stepped into Chiara's room and lit a lantern. “You must be surprised. Can you stand?” continued the young man as he walked towards Chiara with a lantern.
“Ja, don't come any closer! I'm fine,” snapped Chiara still trembling in fear. The girl tried to get up, but both knees were still limp so it could not support the entire body. He fell back on the cold hardwood floor.
“I can help you,” said the young man about to lend a hand.
“Let me here only. Do not approach more than one step. You're so disrespectful for getting into a girl's room without permission, ” Chiara protested angrily.
The young man immediately misbehaved because he realized his attitude was too careless. “I'm sorry. I did not think long because I saw a chogoru enter someone's house just like that,” said the young man seemed to feel guilty.
“The evil spirit is dead now. You can leave quietly,” urged Chiara who wants to be left alone soon. The existence of the suspicious young man remained a threat to him.
“Ten, of course. I'd better not waste your time too long. Once again forgive me. Oh, and this window better be fixed. Chorong loves the smell of humans. You can easily be caught if you are off guard a little,” the young man's advice later.
Chiara stared intently at the strange-looking young man. No one in his tribe had such lustrous silver hair. Her clothes were also full of animal fur, as if she was from a very cold place. Although suspicious, but this young man has also helped Chiara from a diabos attack. Perhaps his attitude was too harsh considering that the young man had already protected his life.
“Who are you? Aren't you from here?” tanya Chiara who finally managed to rule herself. The girl got up slowly after feeling her legs were strong enough to stand up.
“I am from the tribe of Giyatsa. My name is Altan,” replied the young man introduced himself.
“Giyatsa? It's a long way north. Did you hunt evil spirits all the way to our tribe?” Not many people can defeat evil spirits. Chiara had indeed heard that the Giyatsa were a powerful tribe. It was unexpected that he had now met one of them.
“It's not like that exactly. I'm on a mission to find someone in the Valas tribe,” Altan said frankly.
“Ah, it's okay. It was indeed a face done considering my actions were very suspicious. I'd better go now. You must be uncomfortable. Happy resting,” Altan said later.
“You're gonna be out in the middle of the night like this? With so many diabos hanging around?” tanya Chiara couldn't believe it.
“I can handle it. Thank you for worrying about me,” said Altan who had crouched back in the window frame, preparing to jump out. “And do not forget to fix your window, Miss,” he continued with a smile knot.
The young man had already jumped away before Chiara could answer. The girl came back dumbstruck because of the absurd incident she had experienced that night.
The next morning, Chiara got out of bed with her eyes hanging. He can't sleep all night. Every time he closed his eyes, he was again attacked by the fear of the coming of diabos that might be able to eat him in sleep. He had to fix his bedroom window that day. Because of this plan, Chiara decided not to go to the casino this morning. Her mother took advantage of that by telling Chiara to do more homework while nagging about Chiara's attitude at dinner yesterday.
Chiara did not take her mother's words too seriously. He also did not mention the mother's cries that he accidentally heard last night. There was a more traumatic event that Chiara experienced last night. Instead of having to be frightened again, Chiara decided to meet Rein that day and ask him for help fixing the window. There was not a single person in her house that she could hope to help her with carpentry activities.
Finally, after almost noon, Chiara asked her mother for permission to visit Rein at the antique store. Since all the housework was done, her mother allowed Chiara to leave despite being accompanied by some scolding.
“When you said you didn't want to marry the young master. But every day you see him like this. Are you some kind of comfort woman to him?” his mother's comments were so spicy.
It was at that point that Chiara could not hold back anymore. “At least my life is not as miserable as a mother who has to take care of another daughter who sleeps with a father,” she denies cruelly.
Chiara knew that these words would definitely hurt her mother. But he did not care because his own heart was also wounded by the words of his mother. The girl left the house without looking back.
Arriving at the antique shop, Chiara frowned in confusion. The shop is closed. Luckily Chiara brought the back door lock. Then the girl opened the back door of the store and entered through the warehouse. There's no one in there. Even in the secret room, Rein was nowhere to be seen.
“Where is the boy? Is she sick?” murmured Chiara to herself.
The girl was intending to go to the Gillian family's main house when she noticed a letter with a light purple envelope lying on top of the toilet where she used to dress up. Chiara approached the letter and found her name written on the envelope. It's Rein's handwriting
For Kara.
I was waiting for you early this morning but you didn't come. I thought you might be held back by your mother and have to do your homework first. That's why I left this letter in case you came and looked for me. I went to the Venetian first. We meet there, yes.
Friend, Rein.
