[Sign 1: Aries] Giyatsa Tribe

The young man dreamed of becoming an uluwero. In his dream, he wore the Khitai army's oversized uniform – shorts and sleeveless gray clothes with red and yellow lion-shaped ornaments decorated with beads and horny bird feathers –.

He was in a ritual coronation. In front of the shoulder-shaped stone throne, the young man knelt solemnly. Princess Aroha, the leader of the Khitai tribe, pinned a headband decorated with horned bird feathers to her head while taking the oath of coronation.

The young man was really proud. In the corner of his eyes he saw his matu and uma smiling happily. Finally he can prove to everyone that he is indeed an uluwero. He is an honorable man. In another corner of his eyes the young man also saw Kaharab, the man who had snatched away his lover, Ngaio.

I hope to stand beside Ngaio with a sour face. It was obvious that he was envious of a position he did not have. He was just an ordinary shepherd. The young man looked satisfied. Glanced at Mandau who was neatly wrapped around his waist. He really became an uluwero.

The young man faintly heard the sound of the crackling of wood and smelled the scent of roasted meat. Maybe he was cooking a roast lamb to celebrate his coronation. Even the weather feels friendly. He felt very warm despite wearing only shorts and sleeveless clothes.

Wait for. What's?! Warm? His coronation was done during the day. The sun should burn during the day. How can he feel warm? Suddenly the heat began to radiate from his left shoulder, followed by unbearable pain. The young man groaned loudly and then woke up.

In front of him was now burning a huge bonfire with a lump of lamb meat being roasted on it. His bird's headgear was not far from him, lying just above the ground. Confused the young man tried to get up from his sleeping position.

But the pain in his shoulders and arms made the young man finally decide to stay in his original position. He just looked in all directions to find an explanation for his condition. Shortly afterwards he saw a strangely dressed girl sitting on the opposite side.

The girl was wearing a strange fur coat and a hat that had a tail. It is definitely not the type of clothing that can be found on the island.

“Ewa?” the young man asked half.

The girl looked up at the young man with a pair of brilliant gray eyes. In line with the color of her eyes, the girl's hair glistened silvery and scattered along her back. But even though her hair was silvery white, it seemed that the girl was the same age as him.

“Ewa? Nare to saba?[1]” reset the young man.

The girl remained silent while looking at him. The young man snorted in despair. It seems pointless talking to the girl. Whether she was indeed mute or refused to talk to him, which obviously seemed like the girl had no ill intentions towards him.

“Tok ara Anaru. Teenko[2],” said the young man tried to be friendly.

The girl looked tired. He then began to poke the burning wood in the midst of the fire.

“Listen. I don't understand what you're saying at all. I'm not sure you understand my words either. But at least I should try to talk. If indeed you do not understand what I say.” said the girl then made a cross in front of her mouth with two index fingers.

“... It is better we do not talk to each other,” the girl continued short. He then began to flip the lamb chunks that had begun to ripen.

On the other hand, the young man, Anaru, looked flabbergasted. He looked at the girl with a look of disbelief. He should have known the girl was not from Khitai. His clothes and appearance were nothing like Khitai. The Khitai have black hair and brilliant black eyes, like those of the Anaru.

“You are not Khitai..” sigh Anaru amazed. Actually, there are many questions that want to be asked by Anaru. But only that one sentence was successfully spoken on his lips.

“What did you say?” ask the girl later. Anaru hurriedly blinked to resuscitate his thoughts.

“Sorry, I should have known you didn't understand Khitai. Mmm... My name is Anaru... nice to meet you,” said Anaru stammered.

“Oh thank goodness you speak the common language. Almost all the shepherds I met before didn't understand what I was saying. Thank goodness I met you,” said the girl looked really happy.

Anaru smiled a little. Of course he could speak a common language. He had spent dozens of his fatu sheep to pay an uluwero to teach him the language. It was one of the conditions to become an uluwero, so he really tried hard to master it. Anaru really wanted to realize his ideals.

“Khitai Island is indeed far from the mainland of Luteria. There is not much interaction with people outside this island, therefore not many people feel the need to learn a common language,” said Anaru explained.

“Yeah, I know. That's one pretty serious obstacle,” said the girl raised next to her eyebrows.

Anaru snorted small. He did not expect to experience this great adventure after six days of leaving his home. He meets a beast then a girl from another tribe.

“Wait. If you're not from here, then you're from another tribe. You are Khitai's enemy! How did you enter our island and pass the guardianship of the uluwero?!” exclaimed Anaru flabbergasted, he immediately woke up from his sleep and momentarily forgot the pain in his shoulder.

The decision was fatal, as the next second his shoulder was back in throbbing pain. But Anaru doesn't care. As a candidate for uluwero, he had to protect his tribe from foreign smugglers.

But the girl seemed calm. He even had time to slice the lamb with his dagger and give the piece of meat to Anaru. But the young man flinching. He looked at the girl suspiciously. Finally the girl gave up. He took a breath and returned to his seat.

“That's what I hate about your tribe. Khitai people are always suspicious of strangers. You are too close and consider yourself great. I'm asking you, what's the point of attacking Khitai? You guys don't have anything left.

The lush pastures and the abundant herds of cattle are only the past. Now everything is gone. You guys don't even have a pretty civilized lifestyle,” the girl commented while biting off the piece of sheep meat.

“What did you say?! We are not civilized?! Look who's talking?! Secretly infiltrated here without a clear identity. I'm sure you've killed the uluwero troops guarding the entrance of Khitai to get here!” anaru was full of emotion.

He stood up and looked for his little knife. But it seemed like the girl had hidden the knife. Anaru decided to attack the girl with his fist. But with agility the girl dodged the attacks of Anaru, even while still biting the flesh of her sheep.
