Early in the morning Airyung had awakened Anaru. The sky was still dark when Airyung took off his horse's harness. Anaru's parents also seemed ready to continue the journey. After a short breakfast with the rest of the supplies brought from the house, the group left.
On foot, their journey should be within seven days. The four of them walked without much talking, piercing through the thick fog that clouded the view.
The sound of horseshoes accompanying their journey split the mist. The moist and cold air made Anaru constantly squeeze his fingers. He glanced at his parents who must have suffered more because their bodies were old.
“Do we really have to leave this early, Airyung? The air is very cold,” asked Anaru later.
“It is better to endure the cold than the uluwero, Anaru. You don't want to be a real villain, do you?” Airyung asked back.
Anaru did not answer. Airyung's words are true. If he had to face the uluwero, Anaru had to hurt them to save himself. It could have a devastating effect on his already ruined reputation. Finally inevitably they were forced to continue their journey in the midst of the freezing fog.
By noon, Anaru's parents looked exhausted. The two of them could no longer walk further. Finally Airyung decided to rest on the edge of the dead hutam. They re-opened supplies and had lunch to replenish the energy.
Around noon, Airyung had already urged them to continue their journey. But the condition of Anaru's parents is still so weak, especially his mother who is already sickly.
“Leave us here, Anaru. You leave. We will follow after my condition improves. The village is behind this dead forest. Go,” his matu said in Khitai.
Of course Anaru refused to leave both his parents. When they are separated, I don't know what will happen to their parents. In the end, Airyung relented and they were only able to return to walking after dusk almost before.
“If we walk at this speed, tonight uluwero troops have caught up with us, Anaru,” grumbled Airyung.
“I don't care. Now what matters is the safety of my parents,” replied Anaru.
“Then let them drive Tsagan alone. I led him,” said Airyung offer.
Eventually, the decision was approved by all parties. Even Anaru's parents couldn't resist because it would only slow down their journey.
Finally night came. Anaru's entourage is right in the heart of the dead forest. The dry trees standing tight. The black stems make the silhouette of the night feel gripping. The dry ground showed dark cracks here and there. Amidst the dimness, Airyung found a place that was spacious enough to make a bonfire.
A campfire crack accompanied them through the night. Both Airyung and Anaru continued to be vigilant throughout the night, as the darkness in the dead forest could become the hideout of the kinokambe.
Suddenly in the distance Anaru heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Anaru and Airyung immediately rose to their feet in alarm. The two pull out each other's weapons, preparing to fight the worst: the kinokambe.
But it turns out their estimates missed. Instead of kinokambe, a large group of men emerged from the darkness. They are no more than five. The bonfire revealed the uluwero uniform they were wearing. But how shocked Anaru was, it turned out that Kaharap was one of them.
“Meet you, boy,” sergeant I hope to see Anaru.
“Catch him,” command I was hoping to get to his colleagues.
But before the uluwero could get close, Airyung and Anaru had taken out their respective weapons, preparing to protect themselves.
“Don't mess around,” sergeant Anaru.
“Heh, so you want to fight, boy? You've escaped from prison, and now you dare to fight uluwero. You do not deserve to be a member of the Khitai tribe,” said Kaharap.
“He was possessed by evil spirits. Therefore an ordinary shepherd like him can take the uluwero exam, even to the last stage,” said the others.
“Why did you have to make it this far, I hope? Aren't you satisfied with making me a fugitive?” anaru's voice trembled as it held back the anger that was ready to burst forth.
I hope to just laugh mockingly in response to Anaru. “I told you, you must disappear from before me, Anaru. As long as you're alive, I won't stop looking for ways to kill you,” Kaharap later said.
“You better kill me a long time ago, I hope. Now, it was too late to do so,” derai Anaru who then darted over Kaharap with his fastest attack.
I hope to avoid it at the right time. They were also engaged in a fierce fight in the dark of the forest of death. Anaru roared furiously every time he launched an attack. He wanted to use his teleportation ability, but his body was unable to simply follow his thoughts. Anaru can only attack with the style Airyung used to teach him.
For a while Anaru fought, it turned out that Airyung had cleared four other uluwero who followed Kaharap. The four men were lying on the ground, unconscious. The condition of Anaru is not very good. Anger makes it difficult to control movement. Several times Kaharap attacks hit his body and made him thrown into a dry tree.
Anaru refused to give up. The young man got back up with his ribs and his shoulder was very painful. It may be broken, or at least cracked. After spitting blood from his mouth, Anaru again galloped towards Kaharap. Unfortunately, I hope you are prepared for that. Finally one final blow Kaharap managed to make Anaru limbung then fell.
“Don't dream of beating me, Anaru. Until whenever you're weak. And forever will be like that,” said Kaharap scorned.
Anaru clenched his hands on the dry ground. Fresh blood came out of his mouth and nose. Anger makes his blood rise to the crown. With the rest of his strength, Anaru tried to get up, but Kaharap held him back by stepping on Anaru's head. Airyung who saw that rushed to attack Kaharap. But Anaru prevented it.
“Stop, Airyung! This is my fight, don't interfere!” exclaimed Anaru with his head half-drowned in the ground.
I hope to grunt amusedly. “Your situation is like this but you can still be arrogant, slave boy? I'll show you what destruction is."
I hope to set his foot on Anaru's head so hard that it makes a terrible crutch sound. Airyung screamed in horror at seeing it. Anaru's head had already slid deeper into the ground. The unbearable pain was immediately felt by Anaru. His head was throbbing pain and his breath was mixed with sand. In the next instant, Anaru lost consciousness.
