Sign of the Zodiac: Aries

Sign of the Zodiac: Aries
[Sign 3: Gemini] Anger

“Actually what are you thinking, Rein? Why talk to just anyone?” namel Chiara as soon as she and Rein had already reached their secret room in the antique store.

“What's wrong with meeting new people? You yourself gathered with many men,” Rein replied while removing the tuxedo.

“They are not my friends,” sergeant Chiara in front of the mirror. He took off his gray hair and put it in a shiny wooden box.

“Entahlah. You seem to be enjoying your time with them,” said the cynical Rein.

Chiara paused for a moment from her activity of removing makeup. The girl stared intently at the mirror that reflected Rein's reflection. “So you're angry now? Shouldn't I be the one getting angry?” ask him with his eyebrows linked.

“I don't understand why we should argue about this,” sighs Rein tired.

“I should have said that,” denied Chiara did not want to lose. “This is the last time I let you come to the casino, Rein.”

Rein snorted in disbelief then turned towards Chiara while folding both of his hands in front of his chest. “Why do I need your permission to go to Venetian?”

“You don't even like to gamble, so what do you want to do there? Being the prey of female foxes who intend to suck out all your treasures?”

“I can take care of myself, Kara. Isn't it just you who always need my help to cover up all your lies?”

Chiara really went up in black. Though he forbade Rein from going to the casino solely for his own good. But the young man was too stubborn and did not want to lose. Chiara was at a loss for words. He also doesn't like to argue.

“As far as you are.” At last it was just a sentence that could be thrown from Chiara's mouth. The girl then took off her fancy dress and stored it in a large antique closet in the corner of the room. After replacing the dress with her usual shabby clothes, Chiara immediately darted away leaving Rein alone while grumbling.

“The child really cannot be advised. If he has not experienced his own misfortune, he will not be aware. Whatever. I don't want to care anymore,” muttered Chiara on the way home.

The girl was walking through the main street of the crowded city of Forex when suddenly her steps were lined up by others. A little boy a little younger than him. The boy had dark hair and eyes just like Chiara, but a little taller than the girl.

“Where have you been, brother? Mom nags so early because you never helped her take care of the house,” greet the boy familiarly.

“Do not interfere in adult affairs, Kale. Your life is no better than mine. You'd better go home now or you'll probably have the same fate as the father who had to bring a baby with him home. We don't have enough money to support your children either,” Chiara replied sharply.

Kale's expression looked wounded. But the boy forced himself to smile and be relaxed.

Chiara glared at her sister who was only two years younger than her. “Stop alluding to gambling, Kale. I hate to hear it from your mouth,” infuriated Chiara.

Kale just shrugged his shoulders lightly. “Then brother should also stop thinking of me as a striped-nose man,” he said short.

“That's not just a presumption, but a reality.”

Kale only shook his head in the face of his brother's extremely stubborn nature. Her brother's mood was always bad. But that day was much worse than usual. Kale did not need to ask because he already knew the answer. Her brother must have been fighting with Rein. Not wanting to make things worse, Kale decided to give up. She let her brother walk to the house while he turned in an alley near the town market.

“See you at dinner then, Brother. I might go home if I'm starving,” Kale said goodbye as he waved.

Chiara just screeched softly and glanced at her sister with an envious look. How free to be a boy. They can go anywhere and at any time at will, without the need to worry about experiencing the evil actions or bad views of others. His mother even let Kale act as he pleased without ever being reprimanded. While Chiara who only went for a few hours every day was always denounced and scolded. He came home with enough money for his mother.

Chiara's resentment did not subside until she got home. As expected, the mother began to mecercanay as soon as she entered through the front door. Chiara received all the nagging and grumbling of her mother with as much heart as possible. I was too tired to argue that day.

His mother was silent after the girl returned to give him a bag of silver. Even so, her mother still told Chiara to do homework before she finally went to take care of her younger siblings. Chiara let out a lethargic sigh looking at the pile of unwashed cloths and dirty clothes for three days. Two large buckets of dirty clothes were waiting to be washed with his own hands. Really exhausting day.

That night, Kale didn't come home. That means there are two possibilities: Kale isn't hungry, or has gotten more fancy food out of nowhere. Chiara, meanwhile, had to settle for a simple dinner of dried bread that was already a little moldy. He got the most unfit food rations because his two younger siblings needed better nutrition. Therefore, they can get beef eggs or even rabbit meat if they are lucky. Chiara would naturally be unlikely to get such an opportunity in this house. The most luxurious food his mother ever gave was an apple that was almost rotten.

Chiara did not complain because she saw her mother not even eating dinner. Beliu is just busy preparing food and then cleaning the table after all finished eating. His father did not even look shy when eating a piece of leftover ham meat yesterday. Men have the privilege of having good food. While women must succumb because it is considered not too need a lot of energy for his slender body is almost as straight as a skull. No matter how much money Chiara gave her mother, still the food served at the dinner table was always far from decent. How much does his father owe? Chiara was lazy to count.

Gigi Chiara felt almost dislodged when biting the dry bread that has been very hard. Mushroom aroma also out to stab the nose. But he forced himself to finish his meal. Otherwise a family drama can happen at the dinner table. His father began to fuss about how difficult he was to work and earn money, and Chiara was considered completely unappreciative. And all this time, without his father knowing, his daughter was the one who always paid off his gambling debt.

“Your mother said you left again early this morning. How many days have you been wandering around since the sun hasn't risen?” his father said he opened the drama at dinnertime.

Chiara cursed in her heart. Though he was desperately trying to eat quietly like a graceful noble. He also completed a lot of homework today. But why is this problem still being discussed.

“Rein asked me to help him in the store,” Chiara replied to his potluck.

His father seemed to think for a moment. “I'm grateful that you can be close to Rein. The boy has a good future. Our family would be very helpful if he could be my son-in-law.”
