[Sign 3: Gemini] Confession

Upon their return from the Venetian, both Chiara and Rein were still seen grumbling. The two of them returned to the antique shop without talking to each other. Chiara had taken care of the servant she had stolen her identity, not forgetting to make the servant forget all the events she had experienced with hypnosis. Now Chiara has started to take off the disguise ‘Queen Judi’nya and return to be the figure of Kara, a simple poor girl who is not attractive.

Chiara exited the store through the back door while Rein followed her with a toolbox. The girl glared sharply at Rein, indicating that she did not want the young man to go follow her.

“Why are you following me?” chiara protested.

“You said your room window must be repaired,” said Rein was no less upset.

“No need. I can take care of it myself.”

“Do not protest much,” urges Rein then lock the door of his shop.

Chiara clucked impatiently. He did not want to argue with Rein. But if you remember the events last night, my hair back shuddered. He doesn't want to see Diabos anymore. For this reason, Chiara was finally forced to set aside her resentment. His relationship with Rein has always been dynamic. They often fight but quickly make up. Both are comfortable with their presence. There is nothing that makes them feel angry for too long.

Except for the fact that Rein was almost manipulated by Lea. Chiara promised herself to make the calculations with the fox woman. How dare he harass Rein. Chiara hopes that today's events can make her best friend learn that the world of gambling is indeed very dangerous for naive souls. Rein better not go to the Venetian again after this.

“What tomorrow will you gamble again?” rein asked was exactly like reading Chiara's mind.

“Why did you ask?” sahut Chiara defensive.

“No. Just want to know. Tomorrow I might as well close the shop. After all, it is boring to keep a shop without any buyers coming. I just spent time polishing those old jars.”

“So?” qi Chiara asked again, immediately understanding the direction Rein spoke.

“Maybe I'm going to the Venetian,” Rein said without guilt.

Chiara kneaded her temple to ward off the dizziness she had been feeling since returning home from the casino. The dense path made his forehead even more throbbing. Even without Rein talking about the matter alone, Chiara's head felt almost broken.

“Actually what's your goal there, Rein? Your whole life you've never been interested in that place. Now why are you so obsessed all of a sudden? You don't even know how to play cards,” sergeant Chiara while avoiding people walking in the crowd.

They are passing through the market. The smell of rotting fruits poured out from the streets. Some men and women dressed in tatters were sitting on the side of the seedy street while begging around. Little children were running through the crowd while looking for a gap to pickpocket. What a sight that gives a headache.

Whereas in other parts of Forex, rich people squander their money to spend. But the unlucky poor like them live a stressful life. Just waiting for the days before they die, whether from hunger, disease or being preyed upon by evil spirits. If Chiara had no gambling skills, perhaps her family would have ended up like those people. His two little sisters will be pickpockets. His mother and father became beggars with torn and filled clothes. She may be sold into prostitution.

Just relying on his father's job as a curator would not be enough to finance all their living needs. And therefore he could not thank the Gillian family sincerely. After all his father's source of income from the Rein family was not used at all for the lives of Chiara and her sisters.

“I just want to hang out,” Rein replied after a few minutes thinking of the right answer.

Chiara Daydreams. The girl took a deep breath with weight. There was one more fool he had to take care of after this. Rein is too naive to jump into the dark world. And although Chiara agrees that Rein may be lonely, the path she chose seems wrong. There is no normal person looking for a friend at a gambling establishment.

“Please hang out with humans, Rein. Not with foxes or wolves in sheep's clothing,” sahut Chiara tired.

“You have many friends there,” if Rein is stubborn.

“I've told you many times, they're not my friends. My only friend is you,” Chiara said, emphasizing that Rein understands how serious those words are.

Rein smiled wryly, pleased that Chiara thought she was the only friend the girl had. Despite the fact, Rein also only has Chiara as his friend. At least they both have a sense of belonging to each other. The invisible bond that made Rein feel quite special.

“Then you fox too?” ask Rein later.

“Of course I have to be similar to them to be able to survive in that herd. But that doesn't mean we like that identity. A herd of foxes betrayed each other and stabbed from behind. After what you experienced just now, you should have been able to learn the lesson, Rein.”

“I have plenty of time to learn to be a fox,” said Rein lightly.

Where exactly is the error? Why did Rein suddenly act so annoying. Basically, Rein always sucks. But the last two days he's been super shitty.

“I didn't do it just for fun, Kara. I just want to get to know you better, know about the things you love and your life when you're not with me,” Rein said after seeing Chiara sigh again.

“Why should you do such a thing? We have known him since birth. Twenty years more we're friends. What else do you not know about me? What an unreasonable reason,” said Chiara riled.

“I want to know your side who likes to gamble. I want to understand it,” Rein said frankly.

“For what?” asked Chiara who was now really curious.

“At least we need to understand each other if we want to live together. I want to reduce the intensity of our quarrel in the future. We can't keep fighting after living together, right.”

Chiara stopped her steps amidst the hustle and bustle of market trading. Dramatically the girl looked at her best friend who stopped.

“Why?” rein asked while linking her two eyebrows together.

“You are why. What do you mean we should live together? Staying together? You want to recruit me as a waiter at your house?” ask Talia no less astonished.

Rein ruffled his waist while patting his forehead. “Why do you have to be a waitress in my house? There are a lot of people more capable than you in Valas.”

“So?” chiara asked as she prayed inwardly that Rein would not say anything as she expected.

“Of course as Hostess.” The words slid smoothly from Rein's mouth as if they were the most natural conditions that should have happened.

Chiara, on the other hand, immediately cursed inwardly because her estimation was correct.he should have guessed since the two families' dinner the other day. Who planned this from the beginning? Her parents? Mr Gillian? Or even his own friend? Chiara could not guess where the roots of this idea of marriage came from. He clearly knew what to answer.

“Don't be silly, Rein. You should have married a more decent girl,” Chiara replied as she turned away.

Rein held him back by grasping Chiara's wrist. “What do you mean? I think we have the same thoughts about this relationship. Both of our parents are also not against this proposal.”

“You ... have already told your father? My parents?”

“Not explicitly. But clearly they know the meaning of our closeness. You think at our age, it still makes sense that we're just friends?”

“You're totally nuts. You could have said this after barely sleeping with another woman,” sergeant Chiara was really angry.

In addition to those reasons, the fact that they were in the middle of the market when Rein said it was also very disturbing for Chiara. There is no romance in this scene. Instead, Chiara felt ridiculed, as if the matter of marriage was so easy to discuss, even with such a chaotic atmosphere.

“Not so. I didn't mean to do it. I have a reason ... ,” persuade Rein to despair.

“Terlarah. I don't give a shit. Don't follow. I don't want to see you now,” Chiara snapped as she brushed off Rein's hand and ran home in a chaotic mood.
