“Kinokambe!”  the sound of panicked cries broke the silence.

Followed by dozens of other panicked shouts that overlapped. Things become uncontrollable. People run without direction. The darkness blinded everyone.

Anaru sharpened his entire senses. In that chaotic frenzy, he saw at least half a dozen dark shadows flashing around in the air. They annexed people who were running in random directions.

Anaru hissed furiously. What he had thought had finally happened. Amidst the crowd of people running around, Anaru tried to find a gap to attack the nearby dark creatures.

The kinokambe is too fast to catch. Anaru's movement was hampered by the insistence of the people. In front of him, he saw Kaharap struggling with a kinokambe. It's the only nearby creature Anaru can attack.

Without a second thought, Anaru ambushed the creature that was trying to pounce on Kaharap from behind. Once again the feathers of the creature pierced the skin of Anaru. The Kinokambe also diverted his attention from the Kaharap. Anaru pulled out her little dagger from the waist and stabbed the kinokambe in the back.

The kinokambe roared furiously and then threw his body to the ground to grind the Anaru stuck to his back. Anaru groaned in pain. His body was now pierced by dozens of feathers to penetrate his stomach and chest. The excruciating pain ambushed the young man and made him almost lose consciousness.

On the other hand the kinokambe that injured him had now turned around to annex the Anaru. Although a dense darkness enveloped them, but Anaru could clearly see the feathered creature with its fiery red eyes pouncing on him with incredible speed. Now Anaru could see that the creature's mouth was filled with horrible canine teeth with a gaping black hole ready to swallow Anaru round.

Goddamnit! I don't want to die!

The thought flashed across Anaru's head accompanied by an extremely strong determination to live. The tension made Anaru so angry. He can't die now! Can't!

Suddenly like an arrow drawn with a bow, Anaru's body shot out lightning-fast into the air. Magically Anaru managed to avoid the most savage kinokambe. The creature ended up with its snout kissing the empty ground.

Somehow Anaru survived! Even himself was amazed by it. Anaru then rose to his feet with blood still dripping. Before him, the enraged kinokambe roared back and charged towards him. Anaru tried to dodge, but the only thing he thought about was jumping. So in the last seconds before the kinokambe's mouth came close to grabbing him, Anaru was treading the ground with all his might.

Like a spring that imprinted perfectly, Anaru's leap shot out extremely high to over ten meters! Not only that, the jump as high as it was successfully done Anaru in just one blink of an eye. Unfortunately Anaru did not have time to admire his unreasonable new achievements. He darted back down while throwing a small dagger towards the head of the kinokambe.

Thanks to the rain of more than ten meters, plus the help of the force of gravity, the Anaru attack was able to finish off the kinokambe. The creature turned into a bacin-smelling smoke as soon as its dagger pierced deeply between its eyes. Anaru has managed to kill his first kinokambe!

Enthusiasm flows through the body of Anaru. With a lightning-fast darting motion, Anaru then approached one by one the remaining kinokambe. Some kinokambe seems to have been successfully destroyed – Anaru sure Airyung must have played a big role in this –. There were only two other kinokambe left which Anaru then managed to destroy with his new leasat style.

The fight finished sooner than Anaru had expected. The arena was already chaotic. A few people who were still conscious ran into the village, entering their respective homes. The rest looked injured and unable to move or even unconscious. With a breath of breath Anaru then sat on the ground. The torch light is back on. Airyung ran to him worriedly.

“Anaru! What was that?! “ exclaim Airyung once it gets nearby.

“What?” asked Anaru in a daze, the effects of losing a lot of blood.

“Tadi! You're flying! Comehere! So fast!” airyung shouted every two words.

Anaru shook his head in confusion. “Entahlah. It just happened, when I almost died in kinokambe,” replied Anaru honestly.

With surprise, Anaru and Airyung turned to the source of the voice. In front of them, Kaharap had sat down with his index finger pointed at Anaru. His face was so terrified as if witnessing a gripping terror. Stammering, Kaharap stood up, still with his naked eyes glaring at Anaru.

“I... will not let you survive.” groaned Kaharap then ran away to the village.

Anaru and Airyung only looked at Kaharap with the same confused expression. But then Airyung turned his head spontaneously towards Anaru.

“You can't be possessed by chogoru, right?” tanya Airyung made sure.

Anaru's face frowned in annoyance. “Indeed kinokambe can possess humans?”

“Umm. There's no case so far. But.. the way you fought earlier, really unlike humans, Anaru.”

Anaru sighed in annoyance. “Listen, I'm a victim! Don't you see I'm covered in blood like this? And I also destroyed that damn kinokambe-kinokambe. Three tails! In overnight! What if I was possessed by kinokambe I would eliminate them instead of preying on humans?” sergeant's pissed.

“Choru it does not die Anaru. You know they just went back to the underworld.”.

“Ck! It's up to you! I'm tired! I want to go home!” cut the Anaru while grieving bitterly.

Anaru was already trying to get up when suddenly a group of uluwero came to him. No more than ten uluwero people flocked to her with a roaring gaze. Anaru saw that Kaharap was behind the group, looking at him with a hateful expression.

“What's up?” ask Anaru for confusion.

“Some people watched you possessed kinokambe!” exclaim one of the largest body uluwero.

“What do you mean..” sigh Anaru despair. “Which I may have possessed. I saved you by killing three kinokambe!” exclaim an angry Anaru.

“That you can explain in court with the chieftain tomorrow. Now you must come with us!”

The two uluwero clutched onto Anaru's arm forcefully.

“This makes no sense!” anaru was getting angry. But his anger was in vain. The uluwero was actually getting stronger pressing on Anaru until the young man had difficulty moving.

They then walked towards the village. Anaru was surrounded strictly by ten uluwero as if he was a dangerous criminal. The young man tried to revolt, but the grip of the two uluwero was too strong. He also has no more energy to fight more than that. His blood poured out violently, and his body felt so limp. Anaru could only turn his head and look at Airyung who was looking at him worriedly. It seemed like the girl also had a hard time deciding whether Anaru was still a human or half an Evil Spirit.
