Suffering

Suffering
Chapter 14

Some pairs of eyes appear to blink while moving to the right and left. Following each step a half-large foot in front of him. Occasionally Guren hit the table with clenched hands, sending his men flinched.

The burly men wore short-sleeved plain black shirts, showing protruding arm muscles just standing unmoved, waiting for their Master to speak up first.

But in fact it had been fifteen minutes their Master continued to walk back and forth irregularly without saying a word, only occasionally a groan could be heard in their ears.

One of those burly hands pushed behind the back of its member who was standing in front. The only thin man was stifled as his body staggered forward. He turned his head, the burly man who pushed him to take off the sunglasses above his nose, then both his eyebrows raised while moving his two eyeballs at Guren.

"I have to what?" asked the thin man half-whispered.

"You're trying to talk to Mr. Guren. Are we going to stay standing here or how," said the man of sunglasses.

The skinny man nodded slowly, then turned back around. His jaw seemed to go up and down gulping spit while sighing long. Then he walked slowly closer to Guren, then patted her gently on the shoulder.

"Sorry, Sir. What do we do next? We've been trying to figure out who kidnapped Miss Alicia. But we can't find him."

Guren's steps came to a halt, his eyes as sharp as an eagle as a thin man spoke. His jaw back up and down gulped, occasionally wiping away the cold sweat that now began to wet both his hands and face.

"You guys are completely useless! How can you not find him! Looks like I'll have to step in." Guren turned around, then walked over to the window door. A gust of wind went straight into the door of the open window, hitting the half-wrinkled skin.

"I'll turn myself in to the police!" said Guren. His words suddenly made the men who were still standing ready to stand at the back frown at the same time.

* * *

A smile on Kevin's lips when an article on the website he read seemed to explain how a famous CEO named Guren came to the police station by himself.

But those who wrote the article have not understood if Guren came to the police station to turn himself in. Kevin then stood up after putting the flat object into his jacket pocket.

Alicia who was previously busy reading a book on the bed immediately stood up when Kevin was about to get out.

"Where are you going, Kevin?" alicia asked with her frown that looked wrinkled.

"I'm going out to eat. You just wait here, I won't be long" replied Kevin flatly.

"Can I come?"

"No, no. You better be here. It's late afternoon, and the weather outside is cold today."

"Are you marrying me?" Alicia approached Kevin, her hand gently stroking Kevin's right cheek.

Kevin slowly pulled Alicia's hand which was holding her cheek. A sweet smile was engraved on Kevin's lips before he walked out of the hotel room.

A taxi stopped by the front road of the building with the word police station. After paying the taxi driver a fee, Kevin got out of the car while pulling the collar of his thick jacket.

Head looked up. The sky began to look dark, orange clouds began to show its charm at that time along with the sunlight that began to hide behind the hill.

Kevin sighed softly, his breathing puffing out a thin smoke that felt warm in the air. He walked casually towards the entrance of the police station.

Kevin circled his gaze around as the delinquents and criminals seemed to walk past him towards the bars.

"Sorry, Mr. Police. I heard someone named Guren has surrendered himself here. Is that true?" kevin asked, his face flat.

"really. You who? Do you know him?"

"Yes, I know him. Can I meet him?"

"of course. There's still about five minutes for you to swipe at him" said the police officer, then stood up, showing Guren's bars being held.

A smile appeared on Kevin's lips when a familiar man sat on a worn mat from behind bars.

He walked leisurely approaching the iron bars in front of him. "Hello Mr. Guren. How are you?" kevin asked as he walked closer to the bars.

Guren who was sitting propping up his chin on the floor with a worn mat while leaning against the wall gasped in shock as a familiar-looking voice came in both ears. Guren raised his face, his eyes looking brightly at Kevin from behind bars.

His eyes narrowed, and he stood up, walking toward Kevin. Both of his hands held iron bars, his eyes still glaring at the figure in front of him.

"You, the one who hit me yesterday?" Guren tilted his head. Kevin just spread a friendly smile as well as his slightly grinning mouth.

"really. Turns out you still remember me, Mr. Guren. But, does Master know your other child, whom you have left behind?" kevin asked, his mouth starting to grin broadly.

Guren flinched back. The burly hand with many wrinkles raised up, touching his chest which somehow felt tight. His heart skipped a beat, cold sweat began to drench his temples.

"Who are you? Do you know him?"

"know it? Do you know who I mean Sir?" kevin asked with a smile.

"Just tell me who you are! Or you're his friend! You know where he is now?" Guren looks enthusiastic. When speaking, it appears that the veins are slightly protruding on his neck.

"Calm down, sir. Do you really want to know your other child. Or can I call your other son?" The frequency is getting wider.

Guren lowered his face while tightly clenching the two hands that were holding the iron bars. Behind his bowed face, his eyeballs seemed to tremble, water droplets began to come out from the corner of the net, dripping the dusty ceramic floor.

"I've made a fatal mistake. I left people who were kind to me, willing to be with me.

I'm really sorry I left them. I want to see them again, apologize and fulfill my responsibilities."

"Really, Sir? Hold still. I heard the words "they". Who do you mean them? Didn't I just talk about one person?" ask Kevin. His mouth was still grinning widely, his eyes were sinister looking at the middle-aged man who was still bowing his face.

Guren started to raise his face back up. His eyes were still trembling withstanding the tears that kept coming out.

"I know if maybe you also know who the mother of my son you mean is," Guren said with great emphasis.

"Heh .. I don't know sir. I only know one person. I don't know any of the others. Mother, yes.

But after I think about it. She's never been with a woman she calls a mother" Kevin said. His right hand held the temple, rubbing it slowly while slightly squinting.

"Whatchu mean? Where's her mother?"
