Suffering

Suffering
Chapter 33

It took almost three hours to fix the cctv camera. Now, Kevin can open the recording that actually has been swept. Because actually, the recording history is still stored, and it takes two and a half hours for Kevin to open it.

In the cctv camera, it can be seen clearly a figure dressed all in black entered Kirana's room, then removed his breathing apparatus, to make Kirana unable to breathe, and finally lost consciousness.

"Wait on! He pulled the cover" Kevin said. He zoomed in on the part of the figure as he slightly pulled the cover of his face, revealing his red lips blushing with a wide grin.

"She, girl!" peeking Arnold, right near Kevin's right ear, to make the young man turn and glare at Arnold.

"Sorry" said Arnold, silencing his mouth with one hand.

"Kevin, do you have any female enemies?" ask Arnold. Now Kevin closed the computer after copying his cctv recording in a flash.

Kevin turned the wheeled padded chair around, facing Arnold who was sitting on the table. Arnold seemed to be thinking, while Kevin looked calm, but deep in his heart. He still harbors a bitter feeling over the passing of his mother.

"That's Kevin. We can find out again. Now, we have to get home for tomorrow, quickly" Arnold said. He stood up, approached the door, opened it.

"Tomorrow why?"

"Our school scors time ends today. So tomorrow we'll go back to school." Arnold's face was radiant. While Kevin was silent with lazy twisting eyes.

Arnold patted Kevin roughly on the shoulder as they arrived at the classroom doorstep. Exactly Kevin's classroom door. Arnold seemed to put on a sour face, making Kevin frown.

"What's wrong?" kevin asked casually while folding both hands on the chest.

"We have different classes. We have stayed a little longer to get closer. Or maybe I could be your sister. We've been living together, I can be a good brother" Arnold said, puffing his chest.

Kevin chuckled with a grin on his lips. He was about to spit, but he was arrested when Arnold had already stepped back, away from Kevin.

"I don't need a brother. You can get out of my house. Have you not found a new place?"

"Kevin, I'm a year older than you. So, I want to take care of you. Even if you refuse, but I will try to be the big brother who will always take care of his sister." Arnold smiled. He ruffled Kevin's hair, then passed away.

Kevin clucked while tidying up the slightly disheveled jet-black hair. However, unwittingly, a thin smile, as thin as a tissue was engraved on his lips. A little happy when Arnold wanted to be a big brother to Kevin, even though he didn't really need it.

When the classroom door opens. The girls who had been sitting quietly stood up with their red cheeks, looking at Kevin with beaming faces.

Kevin threw his face away, stuck out his tongue without them knowing. He approached a bench in the corner of the room, by the window door, and sat in a chair he had not sat in for a week.

'I don't like this view. There are so many hot worms here, Kevin's inner.

He stood up and walked away, leaving the class. However, his footsteps came to a halt when the door opened, accidentally hitting his forehead on the face of the girl who immediately sat on the floor.

The girl grimaced while holding her slightly throbbing forehead. Kevin was silent, not the slightest bit of pity on the wavy long purple haired girl who had now risen to her feet again.

The girl squinted her eyes at Kevin, bringing her face closer. And when that face almost touched Kevin, a red hue appeared on the girl's cheek. And he immediately threw away his face.

"The drama? Just fall, you won't die" said Kevin indifferently and then walked away, leaving the girl still revealing a red hue on her smooth white cheeks.

"You daydream here? Be careful, later you know the taste," said Arnold with a slightly raised tone. Making Kevin flinch, and instantly showing the look of his sharp eyes.

"Why are you here? Isn't this the entry hour?" asked Kevin with a frown.

"Yes, anyway. But ...." Arnold grabbed Kevin's shoulder. "Looks like my new sister again needs a storymate."

Kevin shook off Arnold's hand, and slightly shifted away from Arnold. Making the young man shake his head with a crack in his mouth.

"I guess you don't like that, do you? Same with my brother too." Arnold stared cynically. Kevin shook his head, not a bit to take his eyes off the beautiful blue ceiling above.

"Hey, Arnold."

"Hmm?"

"Why is my life never colored? Will I always suffer like this? Honestly, I feel like I'd really like to get away from this world." Kevin breathed a heavy sigh. He turned around, leaning his back against the guardrail.

"Before I answer your question. First of all, call me "Sister", okay?"

"Just answer my question, please" forced Kevin. Arnold let out a long sigh, his eyes starting to look at the ceiling above.

"Kevin, we're the same. We both suffer because of our family behavior. But, would you ever think of one thing?" Arnold turned around, approaching Kevin who seemed to be frowning.

"One thing what?" ask Kevin.

"If we have to keep moving forward, don't look back. We must live our new lives, without having to remember the past. Then, surely the thing we don't want will slowly disappear by itself." Arnold squats with his back leaning against the fence.

"Dark life happens because we keep looking back. Keep remembering the past that will always hurt us. Leaving a mark for us."

Kevin nodded his head with a faint smile on his lips. He stepped forward, and passed away with a waving hand, to Arnold of course.

"Thank you, Brother!" exclaim Kevin. Arnold smiled as he shook his head.

When the classroom door opened, it appeared that Miss Elly was staring at Kevin with cold eyes while she was cross-sectioned.

"Where have you been?" ask Miss Elly.

Kevin was polite. "Sorry, I'm from the bathroom. Kebelet, couldn't hold back until Mom came," said Kevin casually then walked up to his stool, sitting there with two arms folded, on the table.

Arnold who passed Kevin's class just continued to review the smile with the behavior of lies that came out of his new brother's mouth.

Kevin paid more attention to the lesson Miss Elly gave me this morning. Until the break, Miss Elly came to Kevin.

"What's up, Mom?" ask Kevin. Miss Elly stood in front of her with a smile.

"Today it seems like you are more able to respect your teacher."
