Suffering

Suffering
Chapter 22

Kevin stopped his foot steps that looked shaky. He pulled the hood of his jacket, covering his head and both ears when the wind blew quite hard. Making each skin pore feel the cold, raising its thin hand feathers.

"This, it's still afternoon. But the wind is very strong. Looks like I'll have to go home quickly if I don't want to get sick" Kevin murmured. He again stepped his feet under the dim street lights that had been partially lit.

The two legs that started walking faster stopped. The crystal blue eyeball moved quickly, glancing right left as well as up. He immediately looked up, and quickly stepped back. Letting one bullet that suddenly shot out did not hit him. Kevin slightly lowered his head.

One bullet lying in the middle of the road still seemed to be emitting hot smoke from the sparks that appeared. Kevin raised his head up. The figure of the man with a black jacket and a mask covering his face stood on the precarious roof. He slightly swung the rifle in his hand, then passed away.

"What was he, gonna kill me just now? Who her? Huh ...." Kevin sighed softly. "I should have known that. That man won't let me live with what's happened to him."

Kevin again glanced at the bullet that had not reflected the hot smoke on the asphalt road. A gust of slower wind came back, hitting the strands of hair that slightly covered the crystal eyeball. Kevin took one hand out of his jacket pocket. He crouched down, grabbing the bullet grain with his hand wrapped in plain cloth.

"Hmm .. I'll take this. I want to find out, who is the one who will bravely kill me.

But, the way to shoot. Of course he's not just anyone. Looks like he's also one of the hit men." Kevin put the bullet in a plain cloth in his jacket pocket. Then he put his feet away again.

Gery opened the big door with the silver handle, then closed it violently. Until the loud sound of the door closing makes Arnold jerked. He put his phone on the glass table. Then walked back and forth to approach the father.

"What's up, Dad? You seem really angry?" Arnold tilted his head. When Gery showed Arnold his sharp eyes, the young man clenched his mouth tightly.

"Damn! I failed! He was great. I was being played with by him!" Arnold sat on the couch. He grabbed a glass of water on the glass table, then downed it to the toilet.

"Who do you mean? Did you kill someone again?" ask Arnold Iirih. His throat began to dry up, he swallowed a little rough saliva.

Gery hits the glass table hard, leaving a slight crack on the glass table. Arnold again gulped his saliva violently. His eyes began to tremble a little, a streak of cold sweat began to drench both hands that had squeezed the edges of his pants.

"I can't kill him. Damn it! Why can he avoid my shots that never miss!" Gery hit the table again, and this time it was slower, so the little cracks did not get bigger.

Arnold swallowed. His throat was still dry, his saliva which he had swallowed did not make his throat comfortable again. He sighed softly.

"Areally who do you mean? Who's the guy I tried to kill?" arnold asked half reluctantly.

"Kevin! He's a snot kid that really makes me blood up." Gery's teeth started to crackle, he even tried to pluck his own fingernails.

"Kevin!" Arnold jerks. But both of his eyes seemed radiant, as if he was feeling deep happiness.

"Why you?" ask Gery. His only son has been smiling ever since he talked about killing Kevin.

"Did you try to kill Kevin because of me? You worried about me?" ask Arnold. The cold sweat that had previously soaked both of his hands, was now beginning to diminish.

"What are you saying! It's not because of you! It's Dad's job to kill him!

After seeing how he dodged my attack earlier. You deserved to lose against him yesterday" Gery said indifferently. Arnold again gulped, his heart started racing. Each heartbeat was heard in both ears.

"Good night, Dad. I'm going in the room." Arnold turned around, walking up the stairs. While Gery still seems indifferent, he starts to focus on his phone.

Arnold turned the doorknob of the room with a shank. His lazy-looking hand did not make the door open. Arnold clenched his right hand tightly, then hit the door hard. Until it opens the door.

"Damn it! Kevin, you really ruined my life! You're satisfied now!

Because of you, my father underestimated me. Because of you, I'm mad at me!" Arnold ruffled his coarse hair, making a thick red liquid attached to the back of his hand hit the strands of brown hair.

Kevin threw his body on the bed. He grabbed the phone that was in his jacket pocket.

"Who is that guy? I have to find out about him. And this bullet I'm carrying will be very useful later" Kevin muttered.

He's waking up. His hand reached back into the jacket pocket, grabbing the bullet in plain cloth.

"That guy's fingerprints must be on this bullet. I just need to take him to the police. Well, it's just the police that's now in my brain" Kevin murmured. A smile peeked on his lips as he scoured every corner of the bullet in his hand.

...----------------...

A black sedan stopped by a road near the police station building. Carlos watched Kevin who seemed to be sitting casually with his legs crossed from the rearview mirror.

"Why is it so late at night, young master, to the police station?" ask Carlos.

"I have important business. You just wait here. I won't be long." Kevin opened the door, got out of the car and walked towards the police station building.

A strong wind came, hitting every strand of concentrated hair. Kevin stopped his footsteps when a gunshot came from behind him. Kevin looked back quickly. The two hands that entered the jacket pocket now came out with a hole.

"Carlos!" Kevin ran as fast as he could to get to Carlos, who was lying on his stomach covered in blood behind Kevin.

"Wake Carlos! What happened to you!"

Not long after that happened. Police officers in the building immediately rushed out with a gun in their hands.

"Why this? Did something happen?" ask one of the police. Kevin turned his head, his eyes looking sharp at the police officer behind.

"You don't see! You are blind! Look what happened! You better help me and don't shut up!" exclaim Kevin. Until his careless remarks made the police officers look at each other.

"We're taking him to the hospital!"
