The 3rd Generation

The 3rd Generation
Chapters. 230

"Norah, who is this little boy? Why did you bring her home" whispered Leona in a very slow tone so that Harumi would not hear her and not get hurt.

It's not just Leona who's curious. Jordan, Oliver, Katterine, Oma Lana, Opa Lukas and Opa Zen are confused when they come home from their honeymoon, Norah and Austin bring a child.

They all thought strangely at the time. Maybe if Abio's family were there too. The first time they arrived they must have been interviewed. Unfortunately today the Abio family could not attend to welcome Abio and Livy's return from their honeymoon.

Abio himself banned it. He is worried about the health of the Omanya who are not as active as before. While both Abio's parents will arrive later in the afternoon after Kwan's work is completed.

"He's Harumi, Ma. Harumi will be our adopted son" Norah said steadily.

"Lifting child?" knock everyone together at the same time.

"Yes" answered Norah. The woman looked towards Harumi with a sweet smile. "Harumi quickly greet Opa and Oma. From now on you have to get used to calling them Opa and Oma" Norah said, leaving Leona even more confused.

"Hi, Opa. Hi, Oma," said Harumi with a sweet smile.

"Harumi, you're a very nice and friendly boy. Oma is sure you must be very tired from traveling quite a long way. Oma will ask the waiter to take you to the room so you can rest." Leona looked towards the servant who had been standing there since. "Reply deliver Harumi to the room" Leona ordered.

"Young lady, come with me" said one of the maids. They immediately led Harumi to the top floor. While walking, Harumi invited the waiter who drove her. Everyone was happy to see Harumi being friendly towards everyone. Especially the servants in the house.

"Look, Ma. Isn't she so adorable?" praise Norah while looking at the back of her adopted son who has gotten further and further away.

"Yes. She was so much like you when you were a kid." Leona was silent looking at Harumi's back. It seemed that the woman also did not mind if Norah and Austin raised Harumi as their child.

After Harumi wasn't there anymore. Leona and Jordan are back on the couch as are Norah and Austin. They were all now looking towards the newlyweds with questionable gazes.

Unlike Livy and Abio who had heard the story in person when they met at the airport earlier.

"Harumi is an orphan who inherits both of her parents' possessions. Unfortunately, Harumi's family is not as good as she had thought all along. They plan to kill Harumi in order to gain control of her property. We met Harumi by accident. He asked us for help. If only we hadn't helped Harumi back then, maybe Harumi would have now died at the hands of the criminals Harumi's adoptive parents had paid for," Norah said, without explaining the truth. "It looks like we've been arranged to meet with Harumi. The proof is that the Gold Dragon troops guarding the main house once said that GrandNa had played with Harumi in the park when she was alive. Maybe if GrandNa is still alive, GrandNa will also protect Harumi from people who want to target her life."

"What a pity for him. But why do you have to make Harumi an adopted child? You and Austin just got married. You will also be blessed with a child. It's best for now that you focus on having fun enjoying your newlyweds. Harumi's presence will only create a boundary between the two of you. Let mom and dad take care of Harumi. We don't care if Harumi lives in this house with us" Leona bargained, hoping Norah would agree.

"No, Ma. Austin and I have agreed to make Harumi our daughter. In addition to Harumi's appointment as our foster child, there's something else we want to say to mom and dad. The two of us had already decided to stay in the main house of the Edritz Chen family. Since GrandNa died, the house has no master. Let me and Austin take care of it."

"My mom doesn't mind at all. Uncle Aleo also repeatedly asked Mama to take care of the house so as not to be neglected. But, are you sure that you will take good care of Harumi? After all you and Austin are very busy people. Aren't you still involved in Gold Dragon's affairs? Right now Zion won't be able to focus on the Gold Dragon because she's trying to catch up with Dominic's blessing."

"Don't make the Gold Dragon an excuse to hinder my grandson Leona's happiness" said Opa Zen. Even though it is silent. It turned out that the man heard the chatter between Norah and Leona. "If Norah has decided to take care of Harumi like her own child, Opa will support her. But remember one thing. We're still your family. If anything happens, don't hide it from us."

Leona smiled. "Thank you, Opa." Leona looked at her real mother again. "Mama should trust us. We promise to take good care of Harumi and love Harumi like our daughter. Norah needs my mother's help. From now on Norah will ask a lot to be the best parent for Harumi."

Leona sighed. "If your decision is indeed a steady one, Mama can not ban it anymore. Mama can only support whatever you do." Leona rubbed her daughter's cheek.

"Thank you, Ma" Norah said, hugging her mother. "Oh yeah, Leona and Livy's sister brought a lot of souvenirs."

Leona and Livy get off the couch. They took the gifts they had prepared and gave them to their owners. They both look very happy.

After sharing the souvenirs they sat back down and told how their story was during the honeymoon. Obviously everyone looks happy because both Livy and Norah have their own stories during their honeymoon.

...***...

Norah was the only one who got the prize from Zion. The man also sends a special gift to Daisy even though today is not Daisy's birthday.

"Boss, this is a gift that Boss Norah has prepared for you." One of the Gold Dragon troops who was now together with Zion gave a paper bag to Zion.

"What'sthis? It was so quick that he replied to her when I just sent her a present."

Without a second thought, the man accepted it and checked the contents inside. How shocked Zion was when she saw the gift given by her younger brother was a book. What makes Zion even more confused, the book stands out.

"Struths to melt sister-in-law's heart."

It was obvious that it made Zion laugh. He did not expect that his younger brother would know what he needed now.

"You are always reliable, Norah" Zion said excitedly. Without waiting again the man immediately opened the book and read the contents in it.

The Gold Dragon army that was still standing beside Zion could only scratch its non-itchy head. A leader of the Gold Dragon mafia gang who was now standing before him had indeed changed far from before.

Now the Big Boss does not talk too often about the world of darkness. The man was often looking for information in order to melt the heart of his sister-in-law who was none other than Dominic.

"Boss, can I help you?" bargain Gold Dragon troops. "Let me read."

"I can read it! I don't need anyone's help!" ketus Zion's.

"You sure you understand what the book means, boss?" again, the man seemed doubtful.

Zion remained silent without giving an answer. The man refocused on reading the contents of the book inside. But a few minutes later, the man closed the book with a frustrated face.

"I can't do it. The ideas in this book are ridiculous. If I do, Dominic will look at me as a weak man." Because Zion gave the book to the Gold Dragon army. "For you!"

Zion sat down on the iron chair that was nearby then looked forward. "I think Dominic really grudges me so much that he intends to make it harder for me until this second. He still couldn't accept his defeat when he was in Las Vegas just yet."

Zion was silent for a moment before finally the man's face returned to beaming. "I know what makes Dominic respect my relationship with Faith." This time Zion felt very confident that the trick would work.

"What do you think, Boss?" ask that Gold Dragon troop. Just looking at Zion's expression he already knew that something was wrong there.

"How about I invite Dominic to fight one more time. When I fight, I will give up. Dominic won. He must be happy with this. Then proud of himself that he is the greatest because he has managed to defeat me," Zion said excitedly. "Yes. I'll decide the time soon!"

"That's a bad idea, boss. Miss Faith would not have agreed to it." The man sighed when he heard the idea from Zion.

"Faith doesn't need to know this."

"Then what if he already knows?"

Zion raised her head then looked at the Gold Dragon army. "What do you mean?" His eyebrows are intertwined.

That Gold Dragon troop was pointing towards the side. Zion also looked to the side and immediately widened her eyes when she saw Faith standing there.

"When were you there?"
