Austin just arrived at Mr. Clark's office. The man watched the surroundings carefully. A lot has changed. The room is not the same as it was three years ago. One thing that touched Austin, there was a photo of him in the middle of the room. A picture of Austin wearing a suit when he graduated from college a few years ago.
At that time Austin still looked very innocent. The man can still be arranged even though sometimes still want to argue. He looks like a good boy. Looking at Austin's expression in the photo, no one would have expected that now the man had grown into a cold-blooded killer.
"Why is there a picture of me in papa's study?" ask Austin curiously. He stepped up again to sit in the chair in front of Mr. Clark's desk.
Mr. Clark looked at the Austin photo. The man smiled before looking at Austin again. "You're papa's son. Nothing is wrong, right?"
"But, at first a photo of Opa was there" Austin said. "Why was Opa's photo removed and replaced by mine? I'm not as good as Opa. I can't replace Opa even if it's just in the photo" Austin said.
"Opa would be proud to have a granddaughter like you. Honey, he didn't get to see you. She left before you married your mom. Though for a long time he forced papa to look for a future wife who already had children at that time, but papa's soul mate did not also meet," replied Mr. Clark.
"Pa, what do you want me to talk about? It's not just about the photos, is it?" guess Austin. He tried to be as good as possible so that his father did not know how his true nature if there is in the mafia world.
"The Bloods's. It has killed nearly a hundred important people in this world. Killed hundreds of innocent people. Blow up some community facilities. The strongest mafia gang that is very difficult to defeat!" Mr. Clark put down the newspaper he just read. "You know something?"
Austin threw his gaze the other way. "I knew Dad knew it from the beginning. All right, then I don't have to cover it anymore. I did all of that!"
"Do you know what your op was killed for?"
Austin nodded. "Papa said it was a heart attack!"
"No, Austin! He was killed by a paid homicide like you!" Mr. Clark leaned back and smiled. "How would you feel if the same thing happened to you and your mom?"
"That's impossible. I'll protect my family!"
"Opa also said that. Papa remembers very well when Omamu forbade Opa to leave. But Opa still went to do a mission. He came home with victory. But that victory turned out to be a disaster. Oma accident. Then not long after that, Opa was shot by a mysterious figure who even until this second did not find who did it."
"Don't equate me with Opa, Pa. I can protect my family!"
"Austin, why don't you learn from what happened? You lost, right? You lost when you fought Gold Dragon. Now you're still so confident to protect mom and dad?"
Austin got out of the chair. The man placed both his hands on the table. This time he could not be patient anymore. "Pa, I didn't lose. I'm sure I won. I'll prove to you that I can beat them!"
"By killing your enemy, you're saying you won, Austin?" Mr. Clark chuckled. "No, Son. You lose! Death is not the end of everything. The person you took his life for, must have had family, friends or co-workers. They will not accept if their family or friends are killed. With that, a new enemy will arise. Then you haughtily confront them with murder? As it continues. Austin, when are you gonna get, son? Till when? You're gonna be old. Don't you have any intention of having a family. Yeah, maybe not now. But, later. When you meet the woman you love, you'll regret being like you are now. Before it's too late, follow Papa's words, son. Stay away from this dark world. Stay away from killing. If you kill to protect yourself or your family, papa will give you a thumbs up. But if you kill for your own satisfaction, you'll see your son as a coward!"
"Austin, if you don't already exist. Remember what Papa said today!" shouted Mr. Clark from inside. Austin remained unconcerned, the man leaving the room slamming the door.
...***...
Norah walked down a quiet and narrow passage. The woman was accompanied by Gold Dragon troops. He wanted to meet the prisoner who since yesterday was locked up in a basement. This time Norah was forced to wear a dress because after this she had to meet her extended family at home.
The slightly rusted and dusty iron door opened when Norah had arrived. Norah looked at the guard there before stepping inside. Because the room was very quiet, to the point that the sound of high heels worn by Norah sounded so clearly.
After arriving inside the basement, Norah looked at the woman whose hands were now tied with chains. There was a small smile on the corner of Norah's lips.
"How does it feel? Is it good in brackets in a narrow, dark space like this place? Hunger, thirst and even cold!" norah.
The woman raised her head looking at Norah. It was Rula. Norah caught him at the time. Not wanting Rula to cause any more trouble, she was forced to ask the Gold Dragon to lock Rula up in this dark place. Norah wants to use Rula as a weapon to defeat Austin. However, after conducting the investigation, the results were very disappointing. Even Austin wouldn't care if Rula died though. The man never loved Rula as much as the news ever reached Norah's ears.
"You cowardly woman ******! I already know your face, if I make it free, I'll tell Austin your face. That way, you'll continue to be his fugitive!" sahut Rula's. The woman still had the courage to fight Norah even though she was clearly threatened. "You'll come in Austin's hands!" threaten Rula again.
"I'm so scared" Norah said. "Absolutely scared. But, I'm more afraid that you'll die before you deliver this news to Austin? Nope, no. I'm afraid you're free but can't meet Austin because that man is dead."
Norah laughed softly. He was very satisfied because he could tease Rula to this extent. "The man named Austin was dying because he fell from the second floor. It looks like he died considering the blood that came out is so much!"
Rula was seen holding back tears. He didn't want anything bad to happen with Austin. He loved that man very much. "You lied! You lied, ******!"
"Ckckk. Too bad I didn't get to take his picture last night. The police had arrived, so we just left the body lying there" Norah said.
"I will never believe what you say. Austin is a strong man. He won't lose so easily!"
"We'll see later. He came or not to save you. If he doesn't come, it means his name is just a memory!"
Norah twisted her body. Enough check-ups this time. Seeing Rula still in such a bound position made Norah much calmer. He's not going to release Rula. The woman had already seen Norah's face without a mask. While fighting, Norah accidentally lives her mask. Rula had managed to pull out her mask. In that second that made Norah think to bring Rula and lock her in this place.
"You're definitely going to die rotting in this place!" norah said before leaving.
