Daddy Jack dropped the glass he had just held onto his feet and hit the floor. Instantly the glass made of crystal broke and scattered on the floor.

"Try me to repeat what you just said, Der?" Daddy Jack asked the son to repeat the words he had just uttered. Until he was surprised and successfully dropped the favorite crystal glass of his wife. He thought he heard wrong, but saw the look on Darren's face so serious that he looked at the son.

"I want to get engaged to someone, Dad." Darren repeated his words.

His face really shows seriousness, though Daddy Jack is looking for a crack of a joke on his son's face, but nil. It seemed that his son really seriously wanted to get engaged to a woman he did not know about.

But seconds later Daddy Jack chuckled amusedly. During this time his son was never close to any woman other than his cousin's sisters. But just now that his son said he was getting engaged? Gosh, has he been left behind something important in the son's life? thought.

"What's? What are you guys talking about? And what's Der hiding from us?" Suddenly Mommy Millie interrupts Darren's words and immediately walks over. When he saw the son talking to his husband, it made him curious. Just wanted to sit himself right in the empty space next to the husband, his eyes widened when he found the broken glass of his favorite crystal is not perfectly shaped. "God, what happened to my favorite glass?" the screeches were a little shocked. Because the broken glass is one of his favorite collection sets and the price is equivalent to a sports car. "You'd be surprised just like me. That's why I accidentally dropped your favorite glass." Daddy Jack tell me first. It is certain that his wife will be very surprised and will not believe it.

"really?" Mommy Millie's attention turned to her husband. "What's wrong?" he continued urging impatience.

For a moment Daddy Jack sat down with Darren. His son seemed relaxed with what he wanted to convey to his Mommy.

"Der wants to get engaged to his girlfriend."

"alright. Then Mommy and Daddy will prepare for your engagement. But before that you have to bring Mommy's daughter-in-law first. And he should also get acquainted with all our family members." As a mother, that conversation was something to be happy about. He must prepare the best for his son.

Ignoring Sang Mommy's joke, Darren stepped out of the living room. But his steps stopped for a moment when he found the male and female figures standing in the middle of the foyer.

"A, Keiko... Kenzos. You guys have come?" Mommy Millie enthusiastically welcomes the arrival of Keiko and Kenzo who have just come from Japan. One day before he did get news, therefore he and some maids had prepared various foods for them to eat this afternoon.

"Hi, Auntie... Uncle. How are you?" Kenzo spoke first by asking about his Uncle and Aunt.

"Aunty and Uncle's news is very good." Mommy Millie replied after she broke the embrace of Kenzo and Keiko in turn. Not with Daddy Jack who does not welcome with a hug, just a smile is enough.

Darren just nodded silently and quickly passed without greeting Keiko, especially warmly welcoming the arrival of the woman he had been betrothed to.

"Hm, then come in. Don't just stand here." Mommy Millie's voice put an end to the awkwardness that had occurred during those few moments. He would not protest his son's disregard for Keiko. For he and his husband could not change the attitude and disposition of their eldest son.

"really. Der says she has a boyfriend and wants to get engaged by the end of the month." Mommy Millie doesn't have the heart of Keiko. He knew how this beautiful woman before him felt for his son. But feelings and love are things that cannot be forced.
