What Happened to Ar?
After Xavier and Austin leave the hospital, Darren is back in front of Arthur's room with Jack. Darren had already assigned two of his men to guard Veronica in front of the woman's grooming room. He must keep Arthur from rebelling to escape the hospital. And Darren has also received news of Chris who has been aware of himself. Chris refused to get treatment at the hospital and preferred to treat his injuries at Headquarters before the man fell unconscious.
With hasty footsteps approaching Darren and Jack, the father and son turned simultaneously towards the steps that turned out to be one of the men.
"Boss Der, Miss Veronica is awake. The doctor and nurse were in the room." The reports from the men made Darren and Jack nod simultaneously. Then Darren moved from his seat.
"Then I'm going there Dad" he told Jack.
Jack nodded. "Hem, I'm gonna stay here to look after Ar."
After Jack agreed, Darren walked a long walk followed by one of his men to the Veronica room under one floor of Arthur's room. Because Arthur's treatment room is only for the man, because if Arthur returns to rebellion, it will only disturb other patients.
Darren opens the door to the treatment room, pausing for a moment the activities of the doctor who was examining Veronica because his attention was seized towards the door, where Darren had just come, not least Veronica herself. The woman scrunched both eyebrows as soon as she saw the familiar figure of Darren in her opinion.
"Miss just needs to rest. There were no serious injuries and apply the ointment in the morning and evening at the corner of Miss's lips" the middle-aged doctor explained kindly.
"Good Doctor thank you."
"Sama-sama Miss. May Miss recover. Excuse me first." The middle-aged doctor retreated from there, nodding respectfully to Darren who approached the bed after he stepped towards the door. Followed by one female nurse, the doctor vanished behind a door that had just been sealed shut.
The atmosphere seemed quiet, Veronica tried to sit up, without Darren's help of course. The man was so rigidly treating the woman, that he simply paid attention to her without any intention of helping. While Veronica seemed to sit awkwardly, because she was alone in the room with the man who had just met twice. Yes, the woman remembered Darren who was a friend of Elie's.
"Thank you sir for saving me." Of course Veronica remembered that the man had saved her, because before she was unconscious, she saw Darren's face clearly covering her almost naked body with the man's jacket.
"Darren, my name is Darren not Mister" he said coldly and the atmosphere suddenly froze. Veronica simply nodded as she remembered the man's name. "Where's your family? I didn't see anyone else come to see you?" Darren's question made Veronica's lips tightly clenched.
"I...." Veronica seemed to think, she was reluctant to answer but seeing Darren's gaze waiting for his answer made her inevitably have to answer. "I don't have a family. Both my parents are gone and I'm just a single daughter."
Darren nodded his head, he did not want to ask more. That answer was enough for him.
"Ehm, but I have a good friend. Please call Elie, tell her I'm in the hospital."
Both Darren's eyebrows look fused together. Right, Elie was a friend of that woman before him. He would inform Elie at her request and say if her friend was doing well, she thought.
Veronica suddenly shut her mouth, she even made a fool of herself, because she had been presumptuous to tell the man to contact Elie. "Sorry, my phone's in my lost bag, so..."
"All right, I'll call him." Darren replied before Veronica finished her sentence. He then left the room to contact Elie. Veronica looked at Darren's back who was behind her from the gap of the door that was slightly opened. Unknowingly his lips curled thinly.
"He's very handsome" he murmured.
After she finished contacting Elie, Darren returned to the treatment room. His eyes glared when he found Veronica who did not blink looking at him.
"Ehem...." And Darren deliberately cleared his throat to resuscitate the woman before him.
Veronica gasped in shock, trying to arrange a look on her face that might look ridiculous in front of the handsome man.
"Have you contacted him?"
"Miss Elie... Um I mean he's gonna come here." Almost Darren let go, he was used to calling Elie Miss so that his tongue almost slipped calling Miss Elie in front of Veronica.
"All right, thank you." Veronica smiled sincerely. He owes his life to Darren. If only Darren and his friend had not come in time, the bastard had already snatched away his chastity. His memories revolved again on that terrible event, he was completely inexhaustible if there was someone who wanted to trap him. He had just finished shooting, but as soon as he received a message from an unknown number he came to his destination. "How can it be lost, huh?!!!" Jack had just punched the faces of two of his men who had been negligent in the line of duty. Though he only left Arthur's treatment room for a while to receive a call, but when he returned only found two men who were sprawled with wounds all over his face.
"Dad, what's going on?" Darren hastily approached his Daddy. He accidentally saw Jack who was angry about hitting both of their men.
"They are stupid and unreliable. Look, Ar managed to escape."
Darren's head turned inside, he found an empty bed with a rope that had been broken off on the floor. He really did not expect that Arthur was so strong to untie the rope in an injured condition.
"Let me look for him. Dad just wait here." Darren is about to walk away, but is held back by Jack.
"No, we should look for him together. I don't want Ar to hurt a lot of people."
"But Dad...."
The sound of footsteps from the opposite direction caught the attention of Darren and Jack. Both of their eyes were surprised to find Elie limping and holding her arm. Jack and Darren approach Elie.
"What's going on?" Both Darren and Jack asked the same question.
"What's wrong with Ar? Why is he pushing me?" Elie moaned, indeed she never imagined if her brother would be rude to her.
"Miss met Ar?" Darren's voice was almost in disbelief. Look, his beloved sister was treated like that. What if Arthur met someone else and immediately finished him off?
Jack and Darren looked at each other, while Elie stared at the two question marks. Of course he smelled a scent that was not right, especially his brother's attitude was really very surprising.
