Frey smiled with satisfaction. His body relaxed and he let it lean against the back of the chair.
"It looks like our conversation this afternoon is over."
"If your majesty thinks so."
"Haha. Looks like I'm interested in seeing young master Valias again."
"I will accept a noble visit with pleasure."
"Ha. Not an invitation, but a visit? You want me to come to Bardev county?"
Frey thinks Valias is ridiculous.
"Well, I don't care if I have to come to you."
"That's true, brother. I don't think brother will leave his duties?"
"I have a sister who can help me. What should I worry about."
"Ck."
Valias smiled watching the sister's dialogue.
"I'm so sorry, your honor."
"Ha. I really can't read your mind."
Frey swung his hand. "You can go home whenever you want. I won't hold you back."
"I understand. Thank you, your majesty."
"Sister go. I'll still be here" Wistar said with a tooth smile.
"Basic has no job." Frey sneering. Wistar put on a naughty smile. Alister walked towards the door leading to Frey's departure.
"So, since when do you know Dylan?" Prince Hayden began the conversation.
"When in front of the palace our parents introduced us. I just met him at that time."
"Haha. The way you changed your style of speaking from me to me is very funny. Youre right. I prefer the way you talk like this. Did ya? Dylan seems interested in you."
Wistar smiled so widely. Valias replied to him with a small smile. "I just hope that I can be friends with young master Adelard for the future. There's no harm in having a relationship with a family."
Wistar blinked his eyes.
"You're talking like you want to get married to Dylan." He then chuckled with satisfaction. "And look at the election you said just now. You're a really interesting guy, Valias. Just like my brother the crown prince, I have an interest in you. I want us to be good friends."
"certain."
Valias really intends to befriend as many people as he can.
I don't know if it's going to happen or not, but I'm going to try to change the story.
"The prince wants tea?"
"Call me Wissy. I also had Dylan call me that. But he never listens to me." Wistar raised both hands while sighing tiredly.
"Wi..ssy?" confused Valias.
"Yes. Dylan seems interested in you. I wish you could ask him to call me that. And about tea.." Wistar was seen reaching into his suit pocket. "My brother, the princess made this. He said he wanted you to eat it. The queen and sister will reward you for your actions one day. But Kak Nana wants to give one of her little gifts to you."
Wistar holds a cloth bond and unbinds it on the table.
"This.. pastry?" ask Valias.
"Yes. Wh why? You're worried it's poisoned?" Wistar grinned.
"No, your honor. After all if it were, if indeed the princess wanted to poison me, then I would die in her hands." Valias replied lightly.
Wistar blinked again. "Haha.if Brother Fey heard your words just now, he must have smiled like he wanted to deceive people. And, is that how hard it is for people to call me Wissy? You and Dylan are the same." murmured Wistar. Valias responds to Wistar's rant while eating the cake made by princess Azna.
The next morning, the palace horse carriage was waiting in front of the palace's large front door. Valias and Alister bow before Queen Vilda.
"I'm so sorry, your honor."
"Hm, you've done a good thing after protecting my son. I'll give you the appropriate award one day."
"I will gladly accept."
"Well we meet Valias." Wistar gives a wave.
"Young master Valias, I'll invite you to tea one day. Take this mage with you. I've sent a letter to Mr. Count to let this person stay at the Baldev residence. You can ask him to send you to the point of the palace so you don't have to bother going through the long journey here." Azna spoke with a gentle smile on her face.
"Is that okay, princess?" ask Valias.
To let someone use the royal magic circle to arrive at the palace in such a short period of time, if someone abused it, anyone could infiltrate the palace so easily. "You don't know the coordinates. That mage will only send you when we order him. Don't think of silly things." Frey grinned.
"Then I say goodbye, Your Majesty. Thank you princess." Valias said respectfully. Azna gave a smile. And so, Valias and Alister, along with a mage and some royal warriors, went on a long journey towards the region of Bardev.
"S-Welcome back, young master Valias."
"Welcome back young master Valias." Several servants and knights of the Bardev residence scattered to form a line welcoming Valias who got off the carriage.
"Let me, young master. Mr. Count is in his study. Madam has no meetings today. Young master Danial and young lady are preparing for dinner."
After traveling for two days, Valias arrived when the sky was already late in the afternoon. "Thank you. Your name?"
"I'm Reuben, young master. The Count has appointed me as the butler. I am ready to serve you." said the waiter.
Valias has never met him. The real Valias Bardev also only knew Alister as the personal servant he appointed. Reuben found out about it and introduced himself. "alright. Thanks, Reuben. I'm going in now."
"Should I tell you ladies and gentlemen?"
"No need."
"I understand."
The mansion door opened and Valias entered. He already more or less knew the entire part of the mansion so he could already wander around without worrying about anything. Moreover, with how Alister related his behavior and how Valias Bardev behaved when he started living here, if Valias didn't know any direction, people wouldn't find it strange.
Valias was wondering where he would spend his time. Reading room, or room?
He chose the second.
Alister followed him wherever he went. When he arrived at the door, Valias turned her body.
"I want to be alone in there. Call me when it's dinner time."
Alister showed off his grin. Valias smiled wryly.
Oh, he has another expression apparently.
Valias only saw a fake smile and a flat face on Alister's face. Such a grin is new.
"Are you going to deal with those papers again, young master?"
"Hm."
Valias responds to origin. His hand pressed the doorknob. Valias entered into a dark room with only the light of the afternoon sky from behind the curtains.
Valias recalled how he was in a land where magic worked in everything and he started to feel the wall on the right side of the door. He continued to feel until he found something protruding against the wall. When he rubbed it, the room became bright. When Valias glanced at something he touched, it was a transparent glass sphere. But Valias saw something like smoke inside.
Like in the story.
Valias looked up to observe the ceiling of the room. It seemed that the light that illuminated the room came from there. But how exactly the glass sphere and ceiling of the room work together, the author does not explain it at all.
Stories that took 6 years to write. Stories with low ratings and a small number of fans. There are too many conflicts without a clear explanation. A character could sit quietly reading a book and dozens of arrows suddenly attacked him.
Magic and tools are made to exist without being explained how they actually work.
His friend found the story and deified it. Abimala read it according to the encouragement of his friend and read it without commenting anything. For Abimala who had never read fiction, she thought such a story was natural and fairly good.
Even experiencing this unexplained situation, Valias would not question anything. Valias walked to the center of the room before turning around to find Alister still standing outside the door observing him.
"You can close the door." tell Valias.
Alister grinned again and his hand moved shut the door in front of him. Alister did it without a sound at all. Valias looked at the closed door and began to approach the papers.
Alister explains how Valias Bardev often spends his time in his room with papers and books. The brown stains on the papers filled with writing and drawing were the result of Valias' original nosebleed.
Just like on the first day, Valias could not understand the writing on the paper. He approached all sides and corners of the room that had paper and found himself unable to understand the contents of all the papers.
Then let's look at those books.
In some sections of paper, there are some books. Valias does not understand why the books are scattered on the floor, but Valias believes Valias Bardev has a reason for that.
Those books, Valias could read all the writing in them. Like the first book Valias opened, they had no preface. And it has no author name. It looks like someone's handwriting. As Valias had guessed, it seemed like they were a bunch of journals written by several different people.
But, the similarity of those journals is,
There is a red haircut with different red color saturation.
The haircuts were tied with black thread, and affixed to the journal's backyard with melted wax. And new. Valias found the writing that Valias had guessed as the name of the author of the journal.
The candle that was widened into the backyard of the journal was carved with something. Forming a name.
Felix
Connie, Marsh, Bern, Juveth, Qlee, and more. The names were engraved on candles in the journal's backyard.
Valias opens a book by the name of Gwen and finds an article about the author's journey to a cave. In it he found a stone that had an inscription engraving that he could not read. A sketch of Valias found on the next page. Sketches of cave walls with floating stones and inscribed a series of symbols that Valias did not understand. Then the author writes the series of writings with more clarity and detail.
Valias can't even spell those symbols and doesn't know what to call them. The author also does not write anything else after drawing them and the next page discusses other things.
Each journal is written by a different person. With a different red haircut. It also discusses things that are not in other journals.
One book talks about caves, one about swamps, then mysterious creatures, the sea written as a vast expanse of salt water, fields of flowers glowing as the color of the night sky, and much more.
Valias read through the journal one by one and was increasingly convinced that he was in the world of stories.
Dream or not, Valias doesn't care anymore.
All he had in mind was to continue his life.
