Children who have never seen such a bright light before close their eyes tightly.
When they opened their eyes, they were immediately startled by the sight before their eyes.
Large white buildings, vast expanses of grass and flowering plants. They could not take their eyes off the size of the visible building.
"Tell your Majesty Frey that we're back."
They hear someone talking. That person was an older brother with red hair like the afternoon sky that they had not seen since they had been taken into the basement. The men who brought them out said it was king Hayden who saved them. But in those children's eyes, it was the red-haired brother who had spoken to the man they knew as the cause of them being held captive inside the dark and damp basement.
The man looked so scared of the person who looked to obey the orders of the red-haired elder brother. They were happy to see the scared face of the man. To them, the one who had helped them was the red-haired brother who gave orders to the people there to take them to where they were right now.
Fee, one of the children who finally came out of the dark and damp room after a long time, set his sights on the red-haired male with skin that was paler than his skin. "K-A brother is redhead!"
Valias initially does not realize the call is on him before finally remembering that he is not currently in his own body.
He turned around and saw how the group of children looked at him with all sorts of expressions. But there was one short-haired brown girl who looked like she had just said something.
"You called me?" Valias could see the boy shudder, but tried to brave himself.
Feeling that Frey would not appear in a short time, Valias brought one of his knees to the ground. Kneel in front of the kids.
"Young master, why are you kneeling?!" exciting Vetra. Javas has a similar expression. Likewise with some of the knights seen in Valias' vision.
Wh why? I can't kneel?
Valias frowned. Choose not to care.
"What's your name?" valias asked the brunette earlier.
"F-Fee."
"Feed?"
The boy nodded. "Sister, the brother who came took me and my friends from that dark place. Is brother a god?"
"...God?"
"That guy. The person who always talked to me told me that if someone came to save us, that person was a god."
Valias felt the person the child meant was ridiculous. What does he mean is he wants to say they'll never get out of there?
Vetra who heard that felt like meeting that person and hitting the back of his head with his magic wand.
"I'm not a god. And I don't believe in gods here."
He did not say the last word. "I'm Valias. Fee, you're a brave boy. I hope you can be a giver for your friends, okay?"
"Your Majesty!"
When Valias raised his face, he could see Frey coming with Wistar and Princess Azna. He immediately stood up to the three people without realizing the children's gaze towards him.
"Valias! You did it!" Wistar excitedly took wide lunging steps and hugged Valias who was shorter than him.
"Young master Valias. You did a good thing saving these poor kids." Azna put on a grin. He was so sad after hearing from Wistar about the existence of children who were made into slaves and traded. Are those people crazy?
Azna who had never spoken rudely due to her training as a princess could not contain her anger after hearing that information.
"You're right, Azna. Our new brother is indeed a great noble." Frey gave a warm smile. That made Valias uncomfortable because he knew the golden-eyed man was just pretending in front of the crowd and his little sister.
"Valias! They're really the kids from Hayden? Where's the bad guy? You took her? I'll beat him up!" Wistar released a hug and made a punching pose with both hands.
"No, your honor. I let the guy stay there."
Frey frowned. But then he thought that Valias must have had a reason and stopped his intention to ask. Wistar also did not ask anything and only whined because he knew he could not beat the man anytime soon.
Kei, on the other hand, felt the amazed gazes of some of the boys from that place but pretended not to notice it. He is not someone who likes to deal with children. He decided to ignore everything the kids said to him.
"Your highness, these children,"
"Yes. I've prepared the place." Frey nodded like a wise king.
The children were taken to one of the buildings on the side of the large area of Hayden's palace. Some of the knights and mages seemed unwilling to abandon the poor children so they followed how the children were led to the place by the palace servants. Valias and Kei stayed there watching how the children were taken away. Even Vetra and Javas still seem to want to invite the children to talk there.
"So? What are you gonna do next, my brother?" Frey returns to his usual attitude once everyone is gone.
"Nothing." Valias was completely unthinkable to go back to Valias' house and re-read the journals in his room.
"Is that so? Then.. Kei.." Frey forced himself to talk to the guy. "Are you going home or staying here? Your friends can stay too, you know?"
Kei silently looked at Frey with his expressionless face."They'll decide."
Frey was relieved when she got an answer from her brother. Valias did not hide his smile. This way Kei and Frey should be able to get closer.
While Wistar, without anyone realizing it, realized how Frey called that person Kei.
So he's my brother?
Wistar set his eyes on the black-clothed man.
"Key. You can take back your clothes if you want. Thank you for following my request." Valias. Seeing how the person he was talking to looked so uncomfortable with the luxurious clothes he was wearing.
"really. Kei, if you want to come back I'll call the mage to take you. You don't have to give me exact coordinates. He'll take you to the nearest location."
Kei looked surly but did not look like he would refuse. With that the four of them along with Azna entered the palace. Kei went into his room, took off all the clothes Kalim had given him this morning and put his clothes back on. Then Kalim, then, this morning the waiter who gave her the clothes just came back to visit her and took her to Frey's room where there was Valias who was ready to go back to her house and the silver-haired child like Frey—but shorter and—the younger that Kei had already felt his gaze.
Kei knows the boy as Frey's sister, and does not look back at him.
The vethra emerged from the open door.
"Miss Vetra, sorry to interrupt your time with the boys" Valias said.
"No problem, young master. They're asking about you." Vetra gave a warm smile.
"But me?"
"Really! To them young master Valias was the one who saved them."
"Ha. you seem to be liked by everyone, my sister." Frey breathed. No matter what Vetra is in his room.
Valias wants word of Frey's movement to spread throughout Hayden. Warn the nobles that from now on crown prince Hayden will not turn a blind eye to the abuse of power they do. Valias also wants the boys to know that it was Frey who sent knights and mages to rescue them. But they think Valias saved them?
Valias thought to clear up the misunderstanding someday.
Vetra uses her magic. Valias was transferred to Bardev's residence, while Kei and Vetra would go to the gate, before Vetra would bring Kei and the horse from Bardev to nearby Adelard.
Valias once again stood in front of the mansion gate and was greeted by two guards yesterday.
"Young master! You're back!"
"We're so anxious because you didn't come back after leaving with the guy yesterday." The guard is beating.
"Young master, is that the clothes from the palace?"
"Really! There's the coat of arms of the Nardeen royal family! The clothes of the young master were also different from those of yesterday!"
Valias listened to the two men's chatter.
"I stayed at the palace last night. My family's inside?"
"Yes, young master. Please enter. Do we need to call your waiter? Or tell the Count?"
"no need. Uh. Is Danial training?"
It's still morning. His dealings at Arlern were faster than he thought.
"Yes, young master."
"Can you take me there?"
"Sure, young master!" The two gatekeepers looked like people with extroverted personalities. Valias enjoy their spirit.
The guard standing on the left side brought Valias to the side of the Bardev mansion area. Valias received a bow of respect from the knights and servants along the way.
"Please, young master. I'll be back."
"Thank you." The guard bowed and left. Valias could see a large field with several rice sack dolls, as well as a collection of men in more casual clothes. And finally, Valias could see Danial holding a real sword with both hands.
"Ah, young master. What brings you here?" Rudiv put down his alcohol bottle and walked over to Valias as soon as he saw the red-haired teenager.
"I want to see Danial."
"Young master Danial?" Valias has never set foot here. Rudiv Valias never interacted with his family. How Valias talked to Hadden in the palace and Danial in the past is quite an unexpected thing.
Rudiv immediately regained consciousness from his daydream. "A-Ah, I'll take you there. Young master be careful. A lot of people hold guns here."
Valias the 18-year-old young master who had just started living in the mansion one year ago looked so frail and sore in Rudiv's eyes. He did not want the red-haired teenager to get hurt.
"You guys. Move first. Young master Valias wants to pass by."
"Commander. No need to bother. I don't want to interfere with the training of these people." Valias said.
"No problem, young master. I will tell them to return to training later." sneered Rudiv.
Danial, who was dueling with his instructor, was also aware of his brother's whereabouts.
"Need-so"
"Sister!"
Before Danial finished muttering another voice exclaimed first.
"I'll be back, young master. Please enjoy your time with your brother."
Valias nodded. "Thank you."
He brought his eyes forward. Danial still has his fighting pose. Dina had a wide smile standing outside the corridor with her servant Lika.
"You're the instructor Danial?"
"Yes, young master. My name is Kafin." The man holding the sword in his hand carried one hand to the front of his chest and bowed slightly at Valias.
"Sister?"
Valias turned his head to Danial who was now standing straight at him.
"Am I bothering you?"
"Yes? Ah, no."
"No, young master. Danial must be glad his brother came to visit him." The cafeteria gave a friendly smile.
Valias gives a nod. "Is dad in his office?"
"Yes. I've been a little busy since yesterday. Mom's visiting the museum."
Valias raises his eyebrows. "Mom have a museum?"
"Yes. Mom likes art. So.."
"Oh.."
It was a coincidence for Valias.
"I just got back from the palace. Looks like I'll watch your rehearsal for a while" Valias said.
Danial gasp. "Wouldn't you watch?"
Valias nodded. "Yes. Don't mind me. I'll stay there with Dina."
"O-Oh." Danial looked at the back of Valias who was walking towards Dina.
"Daniel? Can we start again? You've been great. Although I certainly hope you will never need to use your sword, but if one day you are required to fight, I'm sure you can." Kafin gave his opinion.
"Well.."
Danial was quite satisfied with the words of the instructor who had taught him since five years ago. Teacher's right. Danial has lived for 15 years and has not once held a sword except while dueling with his instructor. Hayden has also been at peace for centuries. Every time there was a problem that required weapons, the knights would swing their swords and spears. Danial hopes his life will continue to go that way.
But if someday he had to protect the kingdom and his family, then Danial had convinced himself to bring out his fighting knowledge.
Valias watches the fight between Danial and the man named Kafin with Dina beside him.
This was the first time Valias had seen people smash their two swords. Sharing attacks, making evasive moves, Valias still couldn't believe that the scene in front of him was real. He imagined what kind of scenery he would see in the future. Looking directly at just reading the writing is really two different things.
"Sister? Is there a problem?"
Dina realized Valias was looking at the fight of her brother and her brother's instructor with a blank look.
Valias also realized Dina's question to him.
"No."
Valias will do what he can to prevent the sight that is now only in his mind. Valias suddenly had an idea. "Dina. Have you had breakfast?"
"It has. Brother?"
Valias recalled her not eating yet as she went straight to the Arlern region as soon as she woke up and cleaned herself up for a while. Suddenly she had a desire to cook. Valias is used to cooking and eating his own food. He wanted to make something for himself today.
"Hm.. Lika, can you take me to the kitchen?"
"Kitchen?" Lika has a confused face.
Valias remembers how Dina said that Lika was the one who prepared the soup for her and Dina. Lika must know where the kitchen is. "Yes. There's something I want to do."
"But if there's one young master Valias would like, the young master could ask the cook to make it." Lika.
"No. This time I want to make it myself." Maybe the real Valias never set foot in the kitchen. And people would find it strange if their young master suddenly made his own food. But Valias is not the real Valias. She's quite happy cooking.
"Sister will make food?"
Dina who was used to having everything prepared by Lika and the other maids, never saw those maids make food for her. He wants to see.
"I'm coming!"
Valias gave a nod. He returned his gaze to Danial. The boy was still so busy dueling with his teacher. Valias doesn't want to interrupt but also doesn't want to leave without saying anything.
After convincing himself he finally decided to call the boy. Danial was not far near him so he could definitely hear Valias' voice even though the area was filled with the noise of weapons colliding and the cry of knight spirit fighting each other there. "Danial's."
Valias's guess is right. Danial immediately looked at him. Kafin also stopped attacking his disciple.
"Yes?"
Valias is a little sorry. But he had already disturbed the boy first so it was better for him to all make his point.
"Me and Dina will go inside. You continue your training, okay?"
Danial listened to his brother's words.
.....Brother is leaving already?
Danial did not understand why but deep in his heart he felt disappointed.
Kafin, as a person who has lived for 35 years, and has been a teenage teacher in front of him for 5 years, is aware of the child's feelings. Kafin smiled feeling silly Danial.
"Danials. I'mtired. You go with your brother and sister."
"Eh? Why?" Danial wasn't tired, so his teacher shouldn't be either. Why would you suddenly want to stop? They decided to duel longer because Mallory was busy helping Hadden. But Kafin said he was tired all of a sudden.
This brat.
Kafin wanted to hit the back of his student's young master's head but decided to leave Danial for granted. Danial observes how his teacher leaves leaving him who is still holding a sword towards another Bardev knight.
"Sister. Brother will make something. Wanna come?"
Danial was made aware by Dina's call and turned his body towards where his brother and sister were.
Made something?
Danial did not understand but decided to put his sword on the weapon rack and approach his two brothers.
"Make what?" Danial directed his eyes at Valias before looking down on Dina.
"Will I cook?" Dina asked Valias.
"Cooking? Brother will make food?"
"Yes.." Valias felt awkward by how strange Danial looked at him.
Danial was curious as to what would his sister who had never set foot in the kitchen seem to make. Feeling that there was nothing else he would do, he decided to come along.
"I'm coming along."
"OKAY. We're leaving now. Lica. Come on."
"Understand me, miss."
Lika walked first while the three Bardev brothers followed her from behind.
Valias felt Dina's hand clasping her hand. "Am I bothering you? Your teacher left?" ask Valias.
Danial realized his brother's discomfort. "No. The teacher suddenly felt tired. We've been training longer than usual."
"Is that so?" Valias.
The three brothers arrived at the kitchen. There a man who looked the same age as Valias as Abimala stood alone sharpening the kitchen knife in his hand.
