"Wait here. I'll be right back."
Valias stood with Wistar at the gate of the mansion. And Dylan went somewhere.
"Valias. You were with my sister at the time. What is my stepbrother like?"
"..Hm. Your brother is not much different from the noble Frey."
"What color is her hair?"
"Black."
"Hm....."
Wistar wondered who the mother of his half-sister was.
"Is he an only child?"
"He has a sister. Older than you. But he's dead."
Wistar surprised. "Why?"
Valias. Weighing on whether he should tell Wistar or not.
"Something."
"God didn't tell you?"
"..God didn't tell me everything."
"Hm..is that?"
Valias did not respond.
"Valias. Why would my stepbrother, want to hurt my father and brother?"
"...There's a past that's messed up his mind."
"Is it because of my father? Brother too?"
Valias. "You and your brother have nothing to do."
"Oh." Wistar was busy with his own thoughts. Not babbling as usual. This info surprised him quite a bit. He heard he had an older brother he didn't know. But he wanted to kill his brother, and had already killed his father. Did the other brother not like him either?
Not long ago a fairly familiar footprints sound. Dylan came with the horse he had driven.
"We can go."
"Wissy. How will you come back?"
Valias. This brat. He insisted on going with him. Then how did he get home?
Wistar grinned. "I? I'll stay in Dylan's room."
Dylan grunting. "Don't touch my stuff."
"I didn't promise." Wistar laughed loudly.
Dylan stepped on the pedal and climbed onto his dark horse. "Come on."
Valias stayed in place. Look at the horse in front of him.
...How am I going up?
"Why, Valias? You don't know how to ride?"
"...Not at all."
Wistar fell silent with round eyes before laughing again. "Haha. Fine, fine. Stamp this. Dylan, help him."
Dylan said nothing and extended his hand.
With a slight hesitation Valias grabbed Dylan's hand, put his left foot on the hanging pedal, and felt himself being pulled up by the hand holding it.
Hap
Valias sat in the saddle with Dylan.
"We're leaving." Dylan.
"Yes! Be careful you two!" Wistar exclaimed in spirit while waving his hand.
"Hand."
The handle? Where-where!!!!
Dylan stomped his feet and the control rope in his hand and the horse named Ben rushed straight away.
Oh God.
Valias was really afraid that he would bounce and bend his body until it stuck to Dylan's back.
"D, Dylan! Couldn't it be a little slower?!"
Valias exclaimed, feeling the afternoon breeze hit his face. It was like riding a motorcycle at high speed. But horses are on another level. Valias is really scared.
Dylan pulled the rope in his hand slightly and Ben started to slow down.
"...Ii'm sorry. You okay?"
"Y-yes. Its alright. Just.. It's too new for me."
Valias grimaces. Holding his chest where he felt his heart beating so fast. Surprisingly enough he wasn't really knocked down from his seat. Valias tried to calm himself.
Dylan fell silent. Secretly cursed himself. He's used to taking Ben for a quick run, but he's not used to taking people with him.
Moreover, that person was Valias. Someone with a weak body who might even be dying. Dylan felt really guilty.
"....Sorry.." Dylan. Watching his hands holding the rope.
"What's? No need to apologize. I'm really okay." Valias smiled even though he knew Dylan wouldn't be able to see him. "Dylan. We're going there."
Valias pointed to a hill with many trees.
"...They live there?"
"Yup."
"okay."
Ben was running at medium speed. Valias was a little getting used to it and knew what kind of body pose he should use. Valias could see them passing through housing, shops, restaurants, and various other buildings. He could see people looking at him and Dylan. But Dylan seemed to be used to this gaze and was truly a fool.
Dylan took Ben to a corner, over the bridge, and then started to enter the treetops.
"Where are they?"
"Get in there." Valias pointed at the street in front of him.
Dylan was still in control and was getting busy with his thoughts.
"...Valias."
"Yes?" Valias is completely used to it and is able to talk without any problems.
"...Did you really get a message from the gods?"
"You don't believe it?"
"...Half and half."
Valias laughed a little. "If I say I don't?"
Dylan pouted. Because then all the knowledge that Valias has becomes more absurd.
"...You're..You're not like most people. We're the same age, but I feel like.."
Dylan wanted to say Valias was older than him but his mouth and common sense did not want to admit that.
Valias becomes curious as to what Dylan really wants to say. But if Dylan didn't want to say it, then Valias wouldn't ask. Instead, he wanted to say something as well.
"Dylan. You think I look like a dying man?"
Dylan did not expect Valias to ask that. Dylan himself, from the very beginning of first seeing Valias, in his eyes Valias was a weak man who did not deserve to be called a man. Dylan who disliked the weaklings couldn't help but have a dislike for Valias.
But then, Valias made him surprised by all the rumors, Wistar and future king Hayden talk about him.
The god message? Getting a lot of blood out of his nose until he lost consciousness? But he also told Frey about the identity of the attacker that night. Then the whereabouts of the royal family's unknown brother, as well as the whereabouts of the elves that Dylan had seen with his own eyes.
Rather than being weak, Dylan began to see Valias as a person with broad knowledge and strong will.
Such a person cannot be said to be weak. That person could even boldly speak to the royal family, as well as the elves.
But, to dying,
"..You're too thin and pale. Not like a man but a puppet. Even the training puppets look stronger than you. His Excellency Frey even said you were bleeding even though no one touched you. You have a disease?"
Valias did not expect that such an answer would be what he heard.
Weaker than a puppet? So badly?
This is not his own body. He admitted that the body of the real Valias Bardev was very frail and pale. But as the person occupying this body, Valias felt fine. He even felt all the movements become lighter. He was quite enjoying the feeling.
Everything was completely different than when he was with his Abimala body. Now everything is higher and greater. He is short and small. Even Dylan and Wistar were higher than him. He feels like a dwarf. But it's not his fault.
As for nosebleeds and diseases, Valias himself was unsure. But he would rather if people weren't worried about him.
"Dylan. It seems like people misunderstand me and worry too much about me. At least I want you to know that I'm okay. So I hope you won't be as worried as people. Okay?"
Dylan fell silent. He was just expecting a yes or no answer. But Valias told him not to worry about it.
In fact, deep down, Dylan was secretly harboring the feeling that he was being exposed.
But he won't show it.
Dylan gave no answer. Valias was quite satisfied with Dylan's silence which did not begin to refute all his nonsense such as Wistar, Hadden, and several others.
They had been down the dirt road in the hill area with trees on their left and right sides. It was night and dark. Valias forgot there were no lights. Now he was quite confused as to how he was going down the forest with the darkness that would hinder him.
"Dylan. We can stop."
Dylan heard Valias say and pulled Ben's rope. The black horse stopped. Valias didn't want to trouble Dylan so he went straight down with his own initiative. Quite surprised because he was able to land without much difficulty even though his legs were rather short and had never descended from a horse before.
The hill can be seen from the palace. Adelard's residence is not as far from the palace as Bardev's residence which takes a two-day journey on a horse that runs at low speed.
Valias had not expected this before. But when he arrives at Dylan's residence with Dylan and Wistar, Valias realizes the hill is close enough.
The author of the story can not explain anything about the emergence of a conflict, but can explain in detail about something like a place to live.
As to how Kei and his herd live in is explained before they move to another location along the storyline, a hill with one large tree at its peak. The size of the tree was until Valias could see it from the palace. Stand out over the hill arch.
Now Valias is at his feet.
"Dylan. You can come back. Thank you for bringing me here."
Valias smiled slightly, starting to step his feet into the tree line. After a few steps, Valias heard the sound of a horse running. Valias turned to the horse to leave, but was surprised by the saddle that no one occupied. Valias immediately turned his body and saw Dylan walking up to him.
"...Dylan?"
"Walking alone in the woods is no good. It's dark. I'll meet them with you."
"....."
Valias did not expect this and did not know what to do. He thought Dylan would really just drop him off as per his initial approval. But now Dylan's horse is gone and the owner is here with him.
Dylan did not say anything more and instead picked up a branch that fell on the ground and two stones, then started making firewood. Valias kept watching Dylan until the boy came back to him.
"Prince the way."
Valias could not even comment on the behavior of the 6-year-old younger than him.
"Your horse, you let him go?"
"He's going back home."
"....He's a smart horse?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Is something like this natural?
Valias remembered that he was in the story. Perhaps a smart horse is a natural thing there.
Valias forgot about the magic horse and started talking. "You've been planning to accompany me since the beginning?"
Dylan did not reply and Valias viewed the boy as a white-faced but warm-hearted child. Maybe about so.
Valias smiles. "It seems like in the end I made people worry again. Dylan. You used to walk in the woods like this?"
"...No. gabe. It's the first time."
Unlike Valias as Abimala, his hometown used to be close to the forest and mountains. He used to walk in the woods like this.
Valias found it funny because he had never been on a horse but was already used to walking in the forest. The opposite of Dylan.
"Aren't you afraid to follow me? What if there's a snake?" Valias seduces.
"...."
Dylan did not answer. Wry face. And Valias laughed.
"Don't worry. Snakes don't just attack you."
Even snakes have a fear of humans. Valias as Abimala used to see snakes walking beside him just like that but did not bother Abimala at all.
"...You...'re you used to walking in the woods?"
Dylan glanced at Valias who was shorter than him.
"That's how."
Dylan starts making conjectures about Valias' past. But don't say anything.
They continued walking for three hours. Dylan has made new firewood several times because the wood will burn out in a certain time interval. It seems to have rained in this area. The ground is a bit muddy. Their shoes were already completely dirty but they could not complain. Dylan used the soil to put out the fire before creating new firewood.
They began to be able to see the light of the campfire at several meters in front of them.
