The Count Family's Young Master

The Count Family's Young Master
Chapter 48 - He came for you (6)

"You're back?" Frey raised his face as soon as he saw a faint light appear within his room. Five people stood on the floor pattern.

Wait, five?

Frey focused his eyes. He has dealt with so many papers and documents. Everything contained writing and he had to focus his eyes on researching that line of words. Not to mention understanding the contents. Make a decision whether he will give his stamp or not.

Proposals from the nobles. Also reports from the nobles of the territory.

The senders of the proposal acted as if they were asking for permission from King Frey but Frey was convinced in fact that they had done a lot behind him.

Chalis doesn't care but Frey does. Especially after hearing from Valias about Hayden's destiny. Frey had to mix himself up to the plans of the nobles and make sure everything was under control in the hands of his power.

Kalim was beside him. Help him fix the pile of documents. The papers that have been read or stamped will be restyled by the servant and transferred to the wheeled table.

It wasn't so late afternoon. He's not too tired either. But it was true that his focus was disturbed, and his eyes had a little trouble seeing what was far from his desk. When he saw the figure of five people standing on the magic pattern he thought his eyes were shaded and he needed to take his time focusing the gaze. But even after waiting for a few seconds, confirming the focusing of his eyes, the number of people he saw did not change.

Five people appeared in his room. Valias, Kei, Valias' servant, Alister, Vetra, and a woman Frey doesn't recognize.

"....." She's speechless.

"We're back, your honor." Vetra gave a pose of respect. But Frey could feel an aura of displeasure from the woman's mage. He's in a bad mood.

Frey hooked her eyes at the figure of a woman in a graceful and luxurious dress. The part of his arm is tufted and adds to his elegance. Her hair is long black. She was an ordinary woman, yet dressed like a noble.

"Her Majesty king Hayden." Durah bent his body. Following the Vetra pose is not so different from the pose performed by the Solossa people. "My name is Durah. From now on I'll work for Hayden."

Durah's remarks about working for Hayden led Frey to capture the intent that he was not a Hayden resident. Valias just got out of Solossa. So, the woman who claimed to be named Durah was a resident of Solossa.

What did he mean by working for Hayden and why did Valias take him with him to Hayden?

Frey shifted his gaze at Valias. Requesting explanation. He saw the man about to open his mouth. "She's a former noble daughter with the title of Viscount in Solossa. He can be a help to us, your majesty."

Frey caught what Valias said. Former. She was no longer a noble princess. Frey looked towards Durah who had a smiling face of sympathy.

Somethinghappened. What Frey doesn't know. But she was a former daughter of the Viscount in Solossa, and Valias said that the woman would give them some help.

"What's he gonna do?" ask Frey. Looking at Valias from his stool. Waiting for the man who still had black hair thanks to Vetra's magic to answer him.

Valias opened his mouth. "Is your highness interested in expanding power?"

Frey raised his eyebrows. His eyes widened slightly and his forehead began to wrinkle. "What do you mean?"

Valias continued. "Solossa, like Hayden, was filled by unscrupulous noble nobles. But unlike Hayden who has you as king, Solossa is ruled by an uncivilized king."

Frey voiced. "Joan Nazar."

Valias nodded. "true."

Joan Nazar is three years older than Frey. He obtained his king's title first because indeed the age of the coronation of his king was reached first. His father, king Solossa, had previously given up his position to his son, and died a month later. So did the noble queen who died three months later. Joan had two younger siblings but her two younger siblings died as well.

His father died of illness. Her mother died of illness too after not accepting the fact her husband died earlier than her. His two younger siblings left the palace without notice, and were later presumed dead by the inhabitants of Solossa.

Frey heard that sizzle. Although every kingdom has never had relations with anyone, it has never had any interaction between the royal family or its inhabitants, but news still arrives.

The one who told Frey about it was Mareen.

He did not know how the mage knew, but that information was what he gave in lieu of a plea for the noble queen Vilda, Frey's mother, to be, to receive him to stay in Hayden's palace and become a palace mage.

Frey realized that the figures around him were filled with mystery.

The appearance of Vetra, Mareen, even Valias, and Kei, all have unclear backgrounds.

The identity of Valias' mother is something no one knows. It is said that even Bardev's count, Hadden Bardev, did not know the true identity of the red-haired woman working at the bar other than her name Carla.

The young Hadden did not worry about anything and just followed his heart to establish a relationship with the woman. But as Hadden grew older, he began to realize that he knew nothing about Carla. Where he's from, why he works in a bar, what's his last name, Hadden doesn't know anything.

But the woman gave birth to Dina, Danial, and Valias. And they are her daughter's sons. She will love her children and love Carla as the mother of the three children.

Vetra found at the border. Although it was called a border but actually what was outside the mysterious collection of stone pillars was nothing but a vast expanse of empty land. No matter how far the Hayden knights walked through the empty land, they could see nothing. It was as if the area referred to as the border area was a vast empty land plain without end.

Vetra did not tell how he was there. On the stone pillars. And actually, all the mages in Hayden's palace were not clearly known for their background. They only showed their abilities and Hayden accepted them. Including Mareen. Which suddenly appeared at the palace gate. Said that he wanted to see Queen Hayden. Said that he wanted to work as a palace mage in Hayden like the other mages.

The arrival of the mage to Hayden only began when five years ago. Mareen appeared two years ago, while Vetra one year ago. Even to this day Frey does not know their background. Besides the fact that they came from the tower.

A tower is a city that contains a mage.

The Solossa palace family. Frey learned of information about them from Mareen that mysteriously appeared two years ago.

When Mareen said that the king died of illness one month after the handover of the position, followed by his noble wife the queen, and even the disappearance of the two princes as the younger brother of the king, Joan Nazar, Frey can already guess that what actually happened couldn't possibly be that simple.

King Solossa is full of mysteries. Just like the three figures of people who were now in front of him. Valias Bardev, Kei, and Vetra.

Frey already knew that Kei was his half-brother from Valias. Valias is the first son of Hadden Bardev, who separated from him and only reappeared a year ago. Just like the newly discovered Vetra at the border at a similar time interval. But the truth was that he didn't know anything about the female mage.

"So what do you want to say?" frey asked after being immersed in his thoughts.

"What I want to say is," Frey waited for Valias to follow up. "We can take Solossa from Joan Nazar's hand."

Frey rolled his eyes. Didn't expect that. "You mean, taking Solossa under Hayden's rule?"

Frey is at a loss for words. He looked towards Durah but immediately returned his gaze to Valias. Because in fact the core of the surprise was the young man. "Did in your future dreams Solossa also attack Hayden?"

Frey waited for Valias' reply. While Durah who stood next to Valias began to be silent with Frey's words.

What does it mean to dream of the future, and Solossa attacks Hayden?

Valias. "No. Solossa will be the first kingdom to be destroyed, your majesty."

Durah's eyes widened hearing that. And so is Frey. "You mean, Solossa was also the target of the attack?"

Valias nodded.

The Reiss Continent will be in a great mess. And the two kingdoms within it will be destroyed. Solossa, and Hayden. And the story ends when the main character, Kei, ends his own life. Leaves many mysteries and unanswered plot holes.

But Valias as a reader doesn't care about that. Who would have thought he would find himself moved into that story beyond his senses?

Frey clenched his grip on the pen in his hand. "So, should we take Solossa?"

Valias. "No need to rush. I'm just asking your opinion."

Be it uniting forces with Solossa, or seizing Solossa, things will not change. If Valias wants Frey to take Solossa, then Frey will need time to gain the trust of the Solossa people. Familiarize yourself with the noble figures there.

Whether forging cooperation, seizing, or not coming into contact with the kingdom at all, war will ensue. Solossa will be destroyed. And Hayden will be attacked by three kingdoms on the Reiss continent simultaneously. Making Hayden unable to survive, and finally destroyed in the hands of the three kingdoms.

"For now we only need to take care of the nobles in our own kingdom. Make them ready to cooperate. Unite the forces for war."

That was Valias' plan. Frey nodded. "alright. I'll forget your question about Solossa." He massaged the space between his eyebrows.

He was surprised by Valias' words.

Take Solossa? It was too sudden. He has not even received his king's title. A new coronation will take place next month.

Thenwhat? Solossa will be destroyed too? Not just Hayden? Is Solossa the first kingdom to be destroyed?

Frey wonders.

What will happen to the people of Solossa?

Will they die at the hands of the invading kingdom? Or they evacuate?

To Hayden? What will happen to Solossa? To belong to those three kingdoms?

Frey was frustrated. He held his forehead,

and be aware of the existence of one other person next to him.

Calim. His servant was the same age as Wistar. He looked a little pale when Frey saw him.

Frey's attention is too distracted by Valias' arrival and forgets the fact that he is taking care of documents accompanied by Kalim. Usually Frey would ask the teenager to leave the room when he was about to get involved with talks with Valias. But this time Frey forgot. The boy heard it. About Hayden. About war. The boy had already heard about what would happen to the kingdom he lived in, and he shuddered.

"Kalim. You okay?"

Frey called the boy worried. Kalim looked aghast and turned towards Frey. With a clumsy face shaking his head.

Of course the boy was surprised. Even Frey was shocked when he heard Valias' words the first time.

Who would have thought that Hayden, who had been in a state of peace for ten centuries, would meet his time. It scared Kalim.

Hayden's. His home. His residence. Where his family lives. Where he worked and served as the personal servant of crown prince Frey Nardeen. Kalim did not expect that and could not keep the flat expression he usually had as a servant.

"Calm down. Hayden's gonna be fine. You don't have to worry." Frey pats Kalim's arm hugging an archive.

Kalim closed his lips. Trying to calm down.

He wonders.

Does Uvan know this? From how he does he doesn't know, meaning Frey hides this from people. All he knew was himself, as the future king of Hayden, and the young master of Valias. The latter also attracted Kalim's attention.

That nobleman. He looks different. He interacts a lot with Frey, his master. Often Frey engages in a one-on-one discussion with the noble's son and requires Kalim to leave Frey's side.

Kalim realizes that Uvan is not in the palace. She never asks but it seems Frey gave her orders to do something. Left the palace and left Frey's side. Kalim also noticed the frequent arrival of a bird. A bird carrying a letter on its back. Frey doesn't talk about that much. Often Kalim saw the existence of the bird when the grouse had gone or was about to leave the balcony of Frey's room. And Frey would hold something in his hand without a different expression. Acting as if nothing ever happened.

If Uvan's departure has anything to do with Hayden's future, does he know about the war Hayden is going to have?

Kalim thought about that in his head. Frey looked at Kalim who was busy with his thoughts, thinking of putting Kalim aside first and focusing on Valias. "So what's your plan?"

Valias looked at Frey who was refocused on him and started to say. "Start from the Southeast."

Baran Nobles. He is the noble that Valias calls to be taken care of by Kei's friends. He'll hear the results of their action this afternoon in Frey's room. As promised when he went with Kei to the hill in Adelard region this afternoon.

Namely about how they made a fuss in Baran's goods warehouse. Stealing the thing Valias asked for.

A weapon that uses gunpowder.

A rifle.
