The Count Family's Young Master

The Count Family's Young Master
Chapter 53 - "Greet him" (4)

"Continent Reiss?" frey is confused.

"Hm." Valias gives a murmur.

"For?"

"There are a few things I want to find out."

"But aren't you sick?" about Wistar protest.

"I still have to do it."

Previously he intended to go to the reading room at the Bardev residence but because Wistar kidnapped him here so there is no harm in tracing the book in the palace.

Valias sense the palace reading room will be more complete. ".....You, always struggling with books. Your waiter told you about that. You're always looking for something that no one else knows what. Then you'll always come up with a plan. You—katakan's chat. What are you really looking for?"

Frey gave his question with both hands still on Dylan and Wistar's shoulders. Observing Valias who was still lying down.

Valias watches the ceiling of the bed.

"Benua Reiss has many magical things that are hidden and have never been touched by the people who live in it."

Frey digested Valias' speech.

He'll understand. Even about the elves pun— all this time he never thought they existed—but then Valias proved it. Frey had already seen the four elven figures with his own two eyes.

Other magical things. Like the magic that was discovered twelve centuries ago. It seems that Frey will live in a time where humans will see more things that they never thought of before.

Frey opened his mouth to speak. "What are you looking for this time?"

Valias silently did not reply making the three people in the room wait for a sound from him. Valias finally answered. "Valias— I mean, I, have some journals that I got from my mom. The journal gives us information about magical things that we can use as a force of war." He was silent for a moment. "But some of them don't tell us where they are. I had to explore the Reiss mainland myself and make my own guesses."

When he found information about the elves, he read the caption in the journal that the hideout of the pointed-eared humans was on a border between Hayden and an empty land. Creating puzzles for Valias that he thinks he should solve but then Frey's words make it the place where Vetra was discovered as the first location to visit. Found a stone in the journal, and saw an empty spot on one of the pillars— just used his instinct to attach the stone to the empty space. Made to witness things that had never occurred to him before. And he has decided. Whatever comes later, he will not be surprised again. "I had to study the continent of Reiss to make assumptions about where the magical things we could use were. I should also look at the great map of the Reiss continent if there is one."

"You've never seen him? Count Bardev didn't teach you??" Wistar gawked and Dylan felt himself wanting to hit Prince Hayden's head—in fact he as a noble son with the Duke's position had the same position as the prince of Nardeen. Even if Dylan was in a lower position, he would not hesitate to beat anyone who irritated him.

Valias did not respond. There's no map in Valias' room. There is no map in the reading room. Maybe he could ask Alister or Hadden to show it but he hasn't had the chance to do that. "Please bring me those books, Your Majesty." Valias turned his head to the side. To see Frey looking at him with a frown. Frey looked at Valias with eyes full of astonishment.

Why is he always like that?—Forcing himself. Doesn't he need a break?

Valias always does something. He never rested himself. Frey believes that's the reason why Valias has such a thin body. He never paid attention to his own condition. Plus,

Frey clenched his teeth. "Dying people like you should just lie in bed."

Valias started to have a dark face. She asked. "Then will Your Majesty let Hayden be destroyed?"

Frey knitted his eyebrows. For protest. "I didn't say that. Just," He lowered his gaze. Watching the wooden bed laid by Valias. Speak with a downtone. "Please pay more attention to your own condition, Valias. No need to rush. Nine months– nine months is quite a long time. And also,"

Frey returned his gaze to Valias. Affirming face. "Let people help you. Don't push yourself and don't do everything alone, understand?"

Valias. "Isn't that what I do?" putting on a protest face. "I asked Your Majesty to bring the books here." Valias. "Do I have to go to the palace's own reading room?"

Frey cursed in his heart. "That's not what I mean." He sighed. "I mean," He then gave up. "What kind of book do you want? The author of the book is a lot. All printed and all contained. What kind of book are you looking for?"

Valias will answer, but Wistar will speak first. "Let me do it! I learned about our continent. You can ask me anything. You don't have to read the books yourself. Isn't that more effective?" Wistar put on a bright face. "Use me. I'll help you. You're not going to read those books alone. You don't have to figure out the existence of those magical things alone. You don't have to write those papers in your own language anymore. You're not alone anymore, are you? Me and Dylan. We'll help you."

Wistar spoke solemnly. Dylan who was nearby fell silent. Didn't expect Wistar to say such a thing. Wistar who is usually a silly teenager and only knows how to play.

But, Dylan agreed with Wistar's words. Dylan could see it. Valias is earnest in receiving the god's message and he intends to change Hayden's future. Despite his unhealthy physique, he still pursued his goal. Valias is the one who will achieve his wish even if he has to move alone without anyone's helping hand. Dylan wants to help people like that.

Moreover, Valias had already shown things that Dylan had never witnessed before. He wants to be on Valias' side. To be able to come see what Valias will see. If he went with Valias, then Dylan would be able to see amazing new things. He wanted that.

Valias heard Wistar's words and began to feel it made sense. He was unaware of the existence of that solution before. Why would he make it difficult for himself to study the continent of Reiss that he knew only from books? It was better that he use people who were indeed the inhabitants of that story. Wistars.

Valias smiled slightly. "Thank you, Wissy." Wistar heard that and instantly fell silent before chuckling. "Call me more."

Frey glanced at his sister. She felt grateful that Wistar was in the room with her. Frankly, he had not thought of that solution before either. He thought he would appoint someone to replace Valias reading. Although I don't know who. But shouldn't Valias from the beginning not have to absorb the contents of the book alone? Even Frey, himself, can help. He'll show Valias the knowledge he's got. He grins. "really. Satisfy your curiosity for us. Don't you know that I'm one of Hayden's geniuses?"

Valias raises eyebrows. Small chuckles later. "All right, Your Majesty."

Frey forms pouting lips. "You obey Wistar but not me?"

Valias fell silent in confusion, but then regained his senses and chuckled again. "Sister," he said. "Thank you for helping."

Frey wants to grumble. Doesn't Valias realize that he's the one who's been helping Frey a lot? Frey breathed. "So? What do you want to find out?"

The reason Valias wanted to study the continent of Reiss. He answers. "The skull forest."

Creating silence in the room without anyone speaking.

...***...

"I didn't expect you to be back so soon, Young Master."

Alister sensed the presence of someone as he was walking through the corridor of the Bardev residence. Feeling the presence of someone in Valias' room. Look Valias is already there.

Valias. Seeing the self-appearing Alister so knocked and received approval to enter from him. He remembered the thing that had happened before.

"The skull forest." He answers. The three people in the room immediately stood still without taking out a word. Just a silent gawk looked at Valias from their place.

Frey was the first to gain consciousness. "Is that there?" tanyanya was confused with doubt.

Valias nodded. Frey asked again. "What's in there?"

"Of course."

"Someone wrote about the forest in one of the journals." Valias answered frankly. "I think we'll find something useful there."

"Of his name alone is terrible. What useful things do you think you'll find? Dark forces?" Frey goosebumps. Valias raises his eyebrows.

The enemies that would appear later also used dark power. Hayden didn't have any dark powers so they couldn't keep up with them.

If the enemy uses dark forces, then we should use dark forces as well.

"......You're gonna come to a place with that terrible name?" A voice asked Dylan sounded. Valias looked at Dylan and did not expect Dylan to say such a thing. He felt that Dylan was quite similar to Danial. Or Danial is pretty similar to Dylan. "It doesn't have to be me."

It's true that he doesn't have to do everything himself. He didn't have to set foot everywhere. If Valias had made Frey have a group that he could call for help, then Valias would not have required himself to always act. Anyone can replace it. "We can think about it later."

Frey realizes that she doesn't get the answer, but also feels she doesn't really need it. Valias will do a lot of crazy things. Frey sure. And he would only be able to stand somewhere. Gaped at what Valias was witnessing to him. "Then, I assume you no longer need those books?"

Valias raises his eyebrows. "Some books won't matter."

Frey pouting. But then remember what he can do. "I'll give you a book. A book that contains everything. How's it?"

Valias saw Frey. I like that idea. He smiled and nodded. "All right, brother."

Frey was satisfied to see the smile and got the call. He's nodding. "Then get some rest."

Valias nodded back. Seeing Frey take Dylan and Wistar out of the room. Dylan turned his head towards him while Wistar gave a wave as well as a speech until later with a radiant face. Leaving Valias in the room alone. Sighing from being forced to lie still when he felt the time should be used to do something more meaningful.

He closed his eyes.

Looking at the figure of a red-haired teenager sitting on top of a single sofa that seemed to float in the black empty space. Both behind. The only thing that has color is the teenager, and the sofa he sits on. Valias felt confused and opened his eyes. Showing the ceiling of the bed again. He closed his eyes again. Seeing the same thing in the dark room after a while. The red-haired figure as well as the sofa looked blurry and shaded but as time went on, with Valias sinking in the darkness from the dead eyes, the thing in front of him became clearer and clearer.

The red hair figure seemed to sigh. Valias—Abimala—can see the side of his shoulder being lifted before falling back down. The figure stood up. Valias frowned. A skinny hand moved over the arm of the sofa. And finally the red-haired figure stood in front of the sofa facing towards him.

That's Valias. The real valias. He looks healthy. Although he was thin, and his skin was whiter than people in general, he was not pale. His cheeks were not thin, and the line under his eyes was absent. He was like the figure of Valias with a more human appearance.

"You need to get back to my room." The figure said.

Abimala stayed in his place. Saying.

"You're Valias Bardev?"

The figure did not answer. But then it seemed to sigh.

"true."

Abimala did not react. Not surprised.

The figure repeated his sentence. "You should go to my room. There's a book you should read."

Abimala momentarily did not respond. "Written?"

Valias Bardev nodded. "Yes. You gotta hurry." Abimala heard him muttering. "Before I forget."

Valias felt clueless but still obeyed the words of the teenager in his eyes. He opened his eyes. Get out of the room. Frey Dylan and Wistar walked together in a large hallway of the palace.

"Your Majesty."

Valias's voice is so specific that his small voice can easily catch anyone's attention. Especially the three people who have sharp hearing. They looked back at me simultaneously. Looking at Valias who was in the doorway with her bedridden hair and pale face. Frey and Dylan frowned while Wistar put on a questioning face as he walked up to Valias at a quick pace. "You need anything?"

Valias nodded. "I have to go back."

"returned? To the Bardev residence?"

Valias nodded. "Yes." Yeah."

"Is there something?" Frey asked when he was about a third of the way to Valias.

Valias muttered yes. "There's something I need to check."

"Let me guess. Your journal?"

Valias chuckles. "true."

Frey watched Valias for a while before sighing. How many times has he breathed this morning? "What's an emergency?"

"Hm. I think so."

The figure of Valias Bardev in his shadow looks rushed.

Frey muttering. "All right then. I'll get you a mage."

Valias was moved to his room still wearing the clothes of Prince Hayden. A cotton outfit. Different from Valias clothes are usually in the form of shirts. In his pants there is also a golden elongated embroidery. Alister instantly realized Valias' clothes were different from the previous ones. "Is the young master bleeding again?"

Valias who was holding a paper in one hand knitted his eyebrows. "No." she replied sourly.

"Is there a reason for you to return so soon?"

Valias had only left the Bardev residence for two hours.

Valias in his place justifies but gives no response. The red-haired figure inside the darkness said something.

"Take the paper with a knot-shaped blood stain."
