The Count Family's Young Master

The Count Family's Young Master
Chapter 54 - "Greet him" (5)

A paper was already in Valias' hands. A paper with a brown blood stain in the shape of a knot on it. Paper with handwriting written with frustration. The author cannot continue what he writes but still imposes himself. The dripping blood littered the lines of ink writing scratches. It disturbs anyone to read the writing behind it. But the color that had turned dry brown made Valias able to distinguish which black ink and which brown blood long. Writing that no one can understand except the author himself. And the writer is speaking in Valias' head.

"Hm." The teenager in his head muttered.

Valias noticed several writing alphabets that were shaped like a knot. The same knot with blood stains on it. "Uncle."

Valias raises eyebrows. "Me?"

"Yes. You're. Who else am I talking to?"

The voice in his head sounded cynical. Valias had never been summoned as Uncle before. It made him feel a little stuck. "What's wrong?"

"I wish you could learn fast" the teenager spoke. Quiet for a while before returning to speak in a muttering voice. "Or you can ask for help from people who want to help you."

Valias was silent in his own mind. "What do you want me to learn?"

"These useless writings." the voice inside his head sounded grinning. "I'll show you the meaning of every symbol of this alphabet."

Valias got a bright spot and agreed. Following the direction of the voice inside his head. To go to the closet for the sake of removing a piece of paper as well as stationery.

Alister looked at Valias who was talking alone and wrote something on top of his belly-high cupboard.

A deity?

Alister thought that Valias was interacting with a god. "That's a. That one is j. The shape of the knot means x. Yep. You're gonna have to decipher all my own writing." his voice was silent for a moment. "Or you can ask someone else for help. You've already opened my secret. I don't care about these papers anymore."

Valias listened while making sure there were no more symbols that had not been deciphered. Then ask. "You don't want to tell me yourself?"

The red-haired juvenile figure inside his head let out a scornful voice. "No. I've given you the ease. Now suppose I never existed, uncle."

There is a hose of silence. But then Valias realized that the teenager never spoke again. Trying to close his eyes. Just to see the darkness like how he closed his eyes normally. No more dark rooms. And he could not see his appearance as Abimala. Valias stood still. Before starting to compare the writing with the cover symbol of old blood with the paper on his right hand. Take another paper and write down the translation he made.

Another royal palace was destroyed. Black smoke. Poked. Shouts of a woman. The strange-haired man. Like a golden color. Aura pressing. Blood on the hands. A forest that sank into the ground. A hand reaches for something. Solid light. A cave. Big rock. Dagger with engraving.

Valias paused his translation to draw the pattern on the bloody paper.

The arrow is dipped in a liquid. The man with the big sword. Crown with blood. Thromb stool scratched. Rusty chain. Hand cut. Danial, bleed.

Valias stopped writing. A name he knew.

Danial's name appears in the writing with a symbol made by someone. Valias continues the translation.

The blood is black. Dance hall. Horse carriage with broken door. Giant tree. Blind lady. Skull on tree branch. Wine glass filled with blood. The book burned.

It was the end of the writing that was on the paper on his left side. What's in it are random phenomena. Valias think they have no pattern. Just cut scenes from different films and then put together into a short three-minute video.

But there were two things that caught Valias' attention.

Skulls on tree branches, and Danial.

Valias was not aware of the number of dots in the writing because the dot symbol drawn in the form of a sloping z-shaped pattern. The teenager in his head tells Valias that the z-slant shape means a point, and the slash means a comma.

Valias felt familiar with some of the things mentioned in the translation.

Wine glass filled with blood. The blood is black. And daggers with carvings. The three things Valias remembers as the three things that appear in the story.

Wine glass filled with blood. The blood was drunk by an enemy that would appear in the future. Kei fought that person and lost. He had made a wound on his enemy, and the enemy was releasing a black liquid as blood.

While dagger with carving...

Valias remembers when the name of the dagger with the engraving appeared.

It was the dagger that Kei would use to end his life. The dagger given by his late life when he was alive. The dagger that his mother got when she was still working in the palace. He finds a dagger in Chalis' room and he picks it up. He took it with him and gave it to Kei when he was ten years old.

Valias took the paper with another patch of blood. Take another new paper. And make another translation. He wrote a paragraph and he felt his head throb. Directly frowning refused to risk bleeding and losing consciousness. He left a drawer cabinet and things on it. Just carry the paper with the symbol along its meaning in his hand. Bringing himself on the bed, leaning against the pile of pillows. Get her comfortable position. Alister saw Valias. Feel like laughing. It was not usual for his young master to do that. Rest when his face has turned pale? Valias Bardev has never done that before.

But even when he seemed to be resting himself, he was still holding a piece of paper in his hand. Watching contents. Researching and trying to understand. Alister could feel the concentration the young master had. "What if you rest for a while, young master."

"Why? Because I look worried?" valias asked without looking.

Alister raised his eyebrows receiving Valias' indifferent response. Feel entertained. "true."

"Didn't my appearance always look like this?" ask Valias again. Haven't let his eyes be moved from the writing in his hands.

"This servant is interested in taking the mirror." Alister with a smile on his face approached the side of the wall and pulled the wheeled mirror towards Valias. "Please see for yourself."

Seeing the figure of a red-haired teenager with skin like a half-corpse looking at him. Eyes meet eyes. The teenager in the mirror looked pitiful and if Abimala saw such a teenager sitting on the bed but holding a kerta in his hand, Abimala would tell him to rest himself.

"......" He immediately fell silent. Remember the words of Frey. Feeling himself should not be so upset with the young man because the young man was just telling the truth. Valias Bardev's skin is pale and will increase the level of pallor when he is tired of the slightest item.

Valias chose to surrender. He will rest himself and will continue his translation when his performance has changed for the better.

"How about using the flowers from the elf lady last time?" hail Alister with a smile on his face. Valias was made to remember the flower and shook his head in refusal. The flower really made him feel as if he was taking a forbidden medicine.

"I'm just gonna lie down." He laid himself. Alister put the mirror back in place and put the blanket on Valias.

"Good rest, young master." Valias could see the smile on the maid's wrinkled face. Very sure that the old man was comforted to see his misery. Makes Valias wonder if the person would feel himself watching interesting entertainment as well if he saw how his uncle was violent towards him as Abimala during school. Valias smiled slightly. Remembering the wounds he had as a child.

Closing his eyes, patiently waiting for Valias Bardev's body to revitalize itself. Letting his head make him go to the line of past memories. The past is not so pleasant and creates a desire for him to be able to remove those memories from inside his head.

During the day at lunchtime, when Alister brought him food. Valias talk.

"You said you were good at gathering information."

Alister heard Valias talking as the young master stabbed food with a fork in his bed. Alister smiled with narrowed eyes. "true."

"How did you do it?"

Alister chuckled small. "Young master really doesn't know?"

Valias did not respond. Characters like Alister, then who will appear in the film that his friend used to watch is the figure of a weapon user who moves at night running with a low body on the roof. Imagining it made Valias feel weird. "Maybe I'll ask you to do something."

Alister grinning. "You can ask this waiter to do anything."

Valias did not respond. "You will leave the Bardev residence for some time. Depends on the speed you get it."

Alister's eyes increasingly formed the crescent moon's curved line. Not removing his lips. "So I will leave young master Valias to take care of himself?"

"That's how." Valias doesn't see any problems with that. In reality, he always takes care of himself. Only with Alister's presence as Valias Bardev's servant did he get some help in his daily life.

Alister opened his eyes slightly. Smile entertained. "I'll appoint a servant to replace me as long as I'm gone."

Valias did not respond. Don't care. So Alister asked. "What does the young master want me to do?"

"Viscount Marma." replied Valias. "Find out what he's doing."

Alister was enthusiastic. "You're gonna make a meeting with him?"

"No. I will only give the help I can to His Majesty Frey. With you." Valias ate his food.

Alister formed a scornful lip.

Did ya?

At the same time. A territory of a royal family. Where the high walls of the border between Hayden and Solossa are located. A noble figure was sitting inside a horse carriage.

The train door was knocked and left unanswered for a few seconds. The train window opened to the side. Telling the person kneeling outside that he can start talking.

"T-Mister. This lowly merchant wants to say his apology."

Lot spoke with sweat soaking his palms. The sweat from the scorching sun and nervousness appeared on the side of his forehead.

"Master Lot." The noble in the car let out his voice. With his head unable to continue his speech. "What do you think will happen after this?"

Lot was nervous. Hesitatingly answered. "Lack of income?"

"There's going to be a big change in Hayden." The nobleman inside the carriage glanced. "What kind of change do you think?"

"M-I'm sorry?" Lot was unable to grasp the intent of the nobleman's question. "S- I don't know."

"You'll see later. And when that happens, I'll take you with me. Youunderstand?"

Lot begidik's. With a trembling body he nodded. The sound of the train's windows being knocked and the train was moving forward. The noble opened his mouth again.

"Awasi Valias Bardev of the noble family of count Bardev. I want to know every move."
