The Heart of Vania

The Heart of Vania
First Date (Part 2)

In the car we chatted about things, our likes each and several times commenting on public issues that were attracting public attention. I feel comfortable talking to Assistant Yan. Our chat has also started to be flexible so it does not feel to be in the parking area of the number one prestigious restaurant in the Capital for jetset.

He opened the car door for me and said, "I'll make a memory trail in your memory, Vania. Lucky I'm the first guy to ask you out."

Huh! He tried to seduce me? The language makes me a little ticklish. Oh no!

"Why your face?"

"It's not strange to hear you talk like that. You better take a seduce course so you don't sound too much."

"Too much?" the shouts don't accept.

I chuckled but a second later fell silent as he clasped my hand walking towards the main door of the restaurant.

My heartbeats came back jumping up and down. I was nervous and my palm temperature dropped drastically. Knowing my hands began to sweat coldly, instead of being removed, he rubbed his palms on the palms of my hands that he held.

"You can be nervous as well apparently." Assistant Yan said with a straight forward look.

"Look, this is the first thing for me."

"I'm glad to hear it."

"Why?"

"Because the first experience will always be remembered. That means my name will always be in the history of your life."

I sighed, for some reason his words gave me a bad feeling. After taking the elevator and pressing the highest number button, we were greeted by the Chief Servant to go to a prepared table.

"It feels like I haven't made a reservation yet" Assistant Yan said perplexedly looking at the table reserved for us.

The table is located adjacent to the glass wall so that you can immediately see the night view of the Capital from a height. Usually if not booked in advance, it will be difficult to get it because it is always chosen by visitors who come first. On the table there are two glasses of drink accompanied by a bouquet of fresh flowers are very beautiful.

"It was just Mr and Mrs Pradipta who ordered all of this. There's a message they got there for Miss." The Chief Maid pointed at a greeting card near the bouquet of flowers.

...Vania, this is all we can do right now. We hope you spend the night with a happy heart. Remember, we always support your happiness....

...Ttd....

...Mr. and Mrs. Pradiptas...

"All the menus that Mr and Ms. ordered will be included in Mr. Pradipta's account and he hopes that Mr. Abyan does not reject them" the Chief Maid said.

"He shouldn't have to do this. The selfish boy thought I couldn't afford it" Assistant Yan said annoyed.

"It's okay. They're just so happy that this is the first date of his beloved sister, thankfully they didn't come and order a table next to us, hehehe ..."

"If it gets to ter–"

His sentence was truncated hearing the voice of the call on his phone. He saw who was calling, then looked at me like a gesture of asking for approval to receive the call.

"Who? Just pick it up, who knows it's important," I said without wanting to know who called him, "Sir, can you please bring me the menu book," asked the Chief Maid.

"Okay, Miss, please wait a minute."

I nodded and tried to hear what my fiance was talking about when I received the phone call beside me.

I'm going to dinner with Vania.

.

Its alright. What was?

.

Calm down, take your breath slowly. You can call your family for help.

.

Are there no housekeepers in your home?

.

Speak slowly, Vivian.

Deg.

The one who called was his first love. What's he want?

But now I can't. You can call the hospital emergency number for an ambulance to arrive.

.

Viviani! What was?

.

Fine, fine. I'll go over there, send your house GPS.

.

Phone's on the lid. My heart rumbles like a storm La Nina that ravages the American continent. For a while we stared at each other until the voice of the Chief Servant who gave the menu book resuscitated the frost between us.

"Sorry, Nia. I have to go to Vivian's house. Her husband's condition worsened and she was alone at home pregnant."

My eyes reflexively challenged his manic, dislike and unwillingness. My jaw has hardened withholding the anger in my chest.

"We're rescheduling next week, how?" it was her bargain that made me ride the apoplexy.

I've been at a loss for words, only my lips are vibrating– wants to say but worry about not being able to control emotions.

"You still love him?" tanyaku slowly intimidates with a gaze that cannot be separated from his manic.

"No. I had already let go of my feelings when she got married and now I want to start my feelings with you."

"Lantas, what's your duty there?"

"humanity. He's got nobody here, his whole family on Island S."

"BULLSHITT!!!"

"Nia, lower your voice. I know, the timing isn't right, but can you understand how things are?"

"So, if you're not dating me, the time is right, do you think, huh? I can't and don't want to understand the situation. She knows who you're with now and she keeps asking you to come? Does her husband have no family? Why are you the one he called? It has no relevance to you at all!" my lice held the liquid at the corner of the eye.

"His relationship with her husband's family is not good– she can't contact them."

"She can't but won't, because she just wants you to be her superhero."

"..."

My heart ached but I insisted on saying, "I'm not forbidding you to leave. Go if you want."

"Sorry, Nia. There's someone's life depending on me."

I laughed mockingly, "Stupid! I'm just reminding you, Mr. Assistant. Your arrival to her house will only sharpen her relationship with her husband's family– and then she will depend on you even more."

"It's not like that. Everything will be fine, my intention is only to help. Right now he needs someone's help, it just so happens that I'm the only one he can call. Sorry, Nia."

He was about to kiss my forehead away, but I spontaneously pushed his body away.

"Don't leave a trace on my part because you've left a disappointing trail here." I pointed at my own chest, where the pain was, "Go! I'll eat by myself."

"Vania."

"Hurry there! He said he needed you so much" I said, looking away at the glass wall, completely unwilling to see it.

"Sorry, Nia. Next week I'll change tonight."

"..."

"I'll take you home first."

"Go away. It's here and I'm losing it if I don't enjoy the food Mr. Pradipta has paid me."

"alright. Call me when you're done eating, I'll pick you up."

Tests.

My tears fell, and in the end he would rather go to meet his first love than me. Me? Who me? Only girls expected a taste from her, only girls forced an engagement with her.

My heart was like being squeezed, especially when reading a message on my sister's greeting card.

Be happy? What happiness? It just hurts more.

I raise my right hand to call the Chief Servant after wiping the tears on the cheek.

"Do you need anything, Miss?" the Chief Servant asked hesitantly but kindly despite the sight of her eyes pitying me.

"I'm not eating, sir. My partner is gone, so I go home," I said, "Oh yes, order some menu, bring it home to your family. Charge all to Mr. Pradipta so that he knows we have dinner– and do not say anything that you have seen earlier to Mr or Mrs Pradipta ... I'm ashamed, sir," I said, taking a bouquet of flowers and putting a greeting card in a bag.

"Miss."

I better quickly leave this place without seeing all the eyes that pity me. I leaned against the wall of the elevator that brought me back to earth. Pull the elevator pulley down just like my fiancee who slammed all my feelings after carrying me I flew high into the sky.

I put my pity on the shadow reflected off the elevator wall in front of me, "Pity you, Nia. Be strong! and make yourself happy" I said to encourage myself.

The phone in the bag rang, I saw who called.

Crib Cat

I laughed to see her contact photos that showed more of her long curly hair than her face– long hair that was partly tied to the rubber of my hair was pink.

"Yes, hello" I answered his phone.

"Propar yuk."

"I'm not home."

Ting.

The elevator door opened and I stepped out.

"Where?"

"Umm ... around Grey Savanna Restaurant," I replied towards the exit.

"Who's the guy?"

"It was the same Assistant Yan but now it was alone. Why?"

"Let's you outside the house, kusamperin huh?"

"Not to."

"Come on. You don't want to see my recovery straight away from your favorite guy's punch?" wheedled.

I laughed, "Then I wait now. Don't be late, hunt me home later."

"Ready. Wait for me My Sweet Strawberry."

"Hukk! Don't ngaco! Bring money and take me to eat. I'm hungry."

"Well, you're at the restaurant, why don't you eat?"

"The menu doesn't match my tongue."

A curled-up voice rang out from the end of the phone line, then he seriously said, "My money is not much, at most you can only invite you to eat in angkringan."

"Yo wes is. Choke."

Tut's.

I hung up Nezar's phone and then I untied my pony tale and tied one back but more down– parallel to my neck. A simpler hair tie, as simple as my relationship with Nezar is as it is and can bring a happy laugh even though our feelings are not linked.
