On the way to the orphanage, Devano unceasingly chattered. The little man told me about the activities he had done during the week. Sitting alone in the back seat, makes Devano free.
“Mami, is sister already there?”
Suddenly the boy's head appeared beside Laura's face. It made the young woman surprised. Not only because of the appearance of his head, but also because of the question posed by the boy.
“Right sitting, boy.” Edward exclaimed, while remaining focused on his steering wheel.
“Papa said he would give me a sister. Where's his sister, pa? What's left in town?”
Gosh darn..
The two adults glanced at each other. Sign up to answer the amazing questions of their son.
“Darling, that little sister came in took a long time. Not fast. So Devan was patient. Later if his sister is there, mami tau.” Laura slightly tilted her body in order to see her son behind.
“Where will my sister come from, mami?”
“Hah.” Laura wastes her rough breath.
‘This is what it's like to have a child?’
“Honey, before coming, the sister grew up in the belly of the mother first, after nine months, the new sister came out to meet Devan.”
Laura was at a loss for how to explain it to her, even though she had many younger siblings, but she had never been asked such a question.
“Boy, would you like to buy ice cream?”
Edward shifted the subject, so that the son did not ask further. If left, the boy could ask why the sister could be in the stomach of his mother.
“What can papa?”
“Sure.”
Edward pulled out his car in front of a mini market. He then took Devano down to buy the ice cream he wanted.
Edward bought one for his wife. They then ate ice cream in the car. After that, we continued our journey to the orphanage.
Now, Edward's luxury car has been parked perfectly in the courtyard of the home. Edward got off first, then opened the door for his passengers.
He then dropped the suitcase filled with souvenirs for the residents of the orphanage. And also a large cloth bag, containing Devano's unused toys.
The little family walked hand in hand in the courtyard of the parlour, unaware that another luxury car was parked in the courtyard.
As usual Mr. Toto will welcome every guest who comes, the middle-aged man also drove the Hugo family to the living room.
Devano can't wait to play with his peers. He wanted to give them toys that he did not wear.
Maria's mother and Lily's aunt greeted Edward and Laura and Devano. Then Laura handed over the suitcase with the fruit of her hand to Maria's mother.
“We were yesterday from a neighboring country, ma'am. I accompanied Ed on a work visit.”
Maria's mother grabbed the suitcase.
“Thank you, son. Kids would love to get souvenirs from outside.” Said the middle-aged woman.
“Mami, I want to meet friends.” Rengek Devano was impatient.
“Shortly, boy.” Edward commemorates the son.
“It's okay, son. Devano hasn't been here in a long time, and my friends will miss him. Take your son to the children's place, they must be happy.” Maria's mother gave her advice.
“Iya, come on baby, come with mom. We meet your friends.”
Laura grabs Devano's hand, clasping the son's fingers. One hand carried a cloth bag containing toys.
“Baby, let me take it.” Edward grabbed the bag. They then say goodbye to Maria's mother and Lily's aunt.
While on the way to where the orphanage children were, Laura's steps suddenly weakened. His eyes accidentally looked at the library, where his younger brother, Leo, was chatting with a grown man.
“Mami, come.” Devano drew the hand of the mother, but the woman did not budge.
“What's up, baby?” Edward looked at the wife. He was surprised to see what Laura was looking at.
“Damian?” The man tried to guess, because from the side, the two men of different ages look very mirib.
“Papa, mommy. Come.” Devano shouted, making the two men sitting in front of the library turn their heads. Both of them showed different facial expressions.
Leo was happy, because his brother had come home. While Damian was upset, because the person he hated was here.
“That's my brother, sir.”
Leo then got up from his seat. Approaching his brother and sister-in-law.
“Kak Lala..” exclaim the young man responsibility, then hold the body of the brother. Then alternated with his brother-in-law.
“You guys how are you? Why haven't you been home for so long?”
Laura smiled stiffly. His heart is not okay.
“We had a job to a neighboring country yesterday. There are souvenirs, later ask the same mother.” Edward replaced the wife who did not say a word.
Leo nodded. He turned to the boy who was shouting earlier.
“Hallo, little boss. How are you?” Leo scrambled Devano's hair.
“I'm good, little om. Will little people take me to my friends' place? I brought a toy.” Devano pointed to the bag that the father was carrying.
“Mami the road is very slow. I'm already impatient.” Say again.
Edward handed the bag to his brother-in-law. After that, Leo took Devano to where his friends were.
“Papi, will everything be okay?” Laura said after her sister disappeared.
“You rest easy, baby. Everything must be fine.” Edward clasped his wife's shoulder. A little rubbing it to give it some calm.
The man who had been sitting in front of the reading room, suddenly stood up and walked towards the two of them.
Laura who saw that, turned her face away. He still remembered how the grown man looked at him full of longing, the first time they met.
“Hallo, Laura? How are you doing? We meet again?” Damian spoke while thrusting his hand.
Laura, however, ignored him. He slightly retreated, hiding himself behind the husband. Yesterday he had wanted to meet the man, but now, inexplicably Laura was reluctant to see Damian's face.
“As you can see, I'm fine.”
“Good.” Damian then turned to look at the adult man who was the same age as him. He cut his lips, not expecting after a dozen years to meet again.
“Hallo, Edward Hugo? Glad we finally get to meet again.” The words that came out of Damian's lips seemed to foreshadow, if there was a certain intent behind the sentence.
“Sorry, have we met before?”
‘Cih, so arrogant this guy.’ Inner Damian.
“We used to be one class. You'd forgotten? Your twin sister still remembers me.”
“Sorry, if we used to have one class, you would know, if I used to rarely hang out in school. Let alone one school student, one class with me I do not know.” Edward pulled his shoulder. He meant to signal to Damian, if he had never known Teresha.
“Really?”
“Ya.”
Edward was throwing his breath rough. He then pulled the wife's hand.
“Sorry, we have to meet the kids.”
The couple left Damian who was still standing in his place.
“Cih, cocky guy base.” Damian Grunts.
“We'll see Edward Hugo, what I'll do to you and your wife.”
