“Build, Ed. I'm hungry.” Laura poked the adult man's cheek. However, the owner still faithfully closed his eyes.
“Come on, Mr Hugo. Build.” Whether joking or serious, but the man remained unmoved.
“Alright, if you don't want to get up. I'll wake up by myself.” Laura let go of Edward's hand on her waist.
“Where are you going?” That hoarse-sounding masculine voice, prevented Laura from waking up.
“I'm hungry. I'm going out to eat.” The girl answered. He ignored the adult man. Choosing to rise with his plain body. And walk towards the bathroom.
“Wait for me, Laura. Don't you dare go out the night without me.” Edward ambushed the body, then carried it like a sack of rice.
“I'm hungry, you old man me*sum, you just want my body, but don't want to feed me.” The girl thrashed over the man's shoulder.
“Do not get angry, baby. I'mtired. Three times that was really draining my energy.”
The debate still goes on in the bathroom. Edward was unceasingly teasing the girl.
“Baby, what do you want to eat these nights?” Edward asked when they were in the car. The time has shown at 11pm.
“Just look for street vendor, Ed. There must be some that are still selling. I'm really hungry. You really do have heart for me.” The girl's voice sounded sad. Makes Edward feel guilty.
“I'm sorry, dear.” The man's left hand stretched out rubbing his girl's head.
The head of the girl nodded small.
Just a 10-minute drive away, Edward had found the shopkeeper of the catfish pecel.
Laura's eyes sparkled, looking at her favorite tent stall. With carefree steps, the girl ordered a variety of pecels, ranging from chicken, tofu, tempeh, fried eggplant of course without the catfish.
“What do you order, Ed?” Ask the girl.
Edward could not believe hearing the girl's question. Laura has ordered so much. Still asking what did he order? Didn't the girl order for him too?
“Baby, is the one you ordered not for me?” The man asked a question.
A slug of Laura's head gave in response.
“Hah.. I ordered tofu and tempe only.” It's already midnight. The man did not want to eat, the food was too heavy.
The girl nodded, then added to her order list.
Moments later, Edward swallowed his rough saliva. He could not believe what was in front of Laura.
There is chicken meat, tempeh and fried tofu, fried eggplant and also rice. Do not forget raw vegetables as vegetables.
“Baby, are you sure you can spend all that?” Edward pointed at the dish on the table.
Laura nodded her head with a smile.
“I'm hungry.” The girl put her lips closer to Edward's ears.
“You drained all my energy, Mr. Hugo.” His whisper was right in the man's ear, while giving a hint of wind from within his lips.
“Don't tease me, Laura. Or I'll finish you off here.” The man glanced at Laura.
The girl shuddered in horror at the thought that she was lying on a table that was currently full of her favorite food.
“Let's eat, papi darling. I'm hungry.” Laura hurriedly dipped her hand into a bowl filled with water and slices of lime. Then he pulled the rice plate in front of him.
“Papi?” Edward grinned at hearing that.
They also enjoyed dinner, in the middle of the night quietly.
*****
The next day, Johan had been waiting for the boss with anxious feelings.
The 30-year-old had been in contact with the boss since yesterday afternoon, but he had no answer.
Waiting for Edward right in front of the door of his room, Johan was a little worried. It's been 30 minutes since the office entrance, but the boss hasn't shown up yet.
Wiping his disfigured face with his right hand, Johan decided to contact Edward.
“Do not panic, dear.” Monica spoke from her desk. From there he saw the lover like an iron, walking back and forth, occasionally stopping, and moving back.
“I'm not calm, dear.” The man put a cell phone in his ear.
But again, the call went unanswered.
“Jeez, boss. Where are you?” Johan again fiddled with his clever flat object. This time he called Laura. Maybe the girl knew where the boss was going.
“Hallo, good morning sir Jo?” Laura's voice greeted sounded carefree.
“Good morning, miss. Where is the missus? Are you with the boss?” Johan asked the point.
“Gosh.” Johan was shocked to hear Laura's words.
The boss he was worried about had just left for the office.
“What's up, Jo sir?”
“Ah, it's okay miss, it's past office hours. I'm just afraid something happened to boss.” Johan drops his body on the sofa that is available in front of the work desk of the lover.
“I'm sorry, Jo sir. I made him wake up late, this morning.” The girl chuckled. But then his laughter disappeared.
“Ya already, miss. Sorry to bother you.” Johan disconnected the call. He rubbed his painless temple.
‘They are already like newlyweds.’
“How, babe?” Secretary Edward asked again.
“She's on her way.”
Moments later, the elevator door to the left of Monica's desk opened. Appearing a handsome man in a dark-colored work suit. Do not forget the sunglasses that helped perfect his appearance this morning.
“Look, darling. Brad Pitt is heading here.” Johan said as he cut his lips.
“Good morning, boss.” The words of the two lovers in unison.
Edward stopped in their midst. He removed the sunglasses that had been stuck at the base of his nose.
“Are you ready to get married?”
Johan and Monica looked at each other at the question from the boss. The two subordinates of Edward nodded compactly.
“We are very ready, boss.” Johan.
“Then, prepare from now. Next week I'm getting married, after which you can catch up with me.”
Instead of being happy to hear the words of the boss, the lovers just gap in disbelief.
Their boss is getting married, and that's next week? With who?
Johan hurried after Edward who was now walking towards his room.
“Bos, wait.”
Johan came in when the door was almost closed again.
“Bos to get married next week? With whom?”
Edward stopped his steps when he heard the assistant's words.
“Of course with Ara. Who else?” Then he landed his ass on his great chair.
“What does madam Hugo already agree to?” Johan took a seat opposite the boss.
He was more interested in hearing Edward's story than the marriage license the man had given him.
Edward grinned. It made Johan shudder in horror.
‘What's the boss of entering this building's guard?’
The man rubbed his nape which suddenly bristled.
“Mama strongly agree. In fact, she had already planned our matchmaking before Ara and I met.” Edward leaned his back against the back of the chair. A smile continued to grow on the handsome man's face.
“Really?” Johan's eyes sparkled hearing the superior's words.
The man got up from his seat and approached the superior.
“Congratulations, boss. Finally the boss will get married too.” Johan half-bent and embraced the shoulders of his superior.
Edward returned the embrace. He is happy now too.
“To be honest, from yesterday my call was missed by one, this morning also late coming to the office. The boss must be working hard to produce a successor to the Hugo family, right?”
Johan again took a seat in front of Edward.
“You always knew about me, Jo.”
