At the same time, as Edward and Laura were just on the air, their families, Hugo's mistress Felisha and Devano arrived at Edward and Laura's residence.
They came here to surprise me. Intentionally not telling. In addition, their arrival to the city was also not planned. Incidentally, Felisha gets a notice if Devano's school extends the day after tomorrow. So, they decided to come to the city and give a surprise.
And vice versa. At Edward and Laura's house, they were shocked. The housekeeper said Edward and Laura were out with a medium-sized suitcase.
No one knows where they went. Until Bu village, the other home assistant, said that the couple was escorted by Johan.
Hugo calls Johan, asking for the whereabouts of his son and daughter-in-law. Again the middle-aged woman was dumbfounded. The son's assistant said he had just taken Edward and Laura to the airport.
“Where did they go, Jo?”
“Bos and miss, go to Bali, mistress. Miss cravings, want to eat duck betutu at one of the restaurants there.”
“What?” It was not Hugo's mistress who was shocked, but Felisha. The woman eavesdropped on the mother's conversation with her twin sister's assistant.
“Ya, already. Where's your wife?”
“Monica sleeping, mistress.” Johan replied in a whisper.
Mrs Hugo smashed her lips, she knew Johan and his wife could still be said to be newlyweds.
“Ya, already. Later that night, take your wife to Edward's house. We'll have dinner together here. Mumpung who has a house does not exist.”
“Good, mistress.”
The call ended. Mrs Hugo is back with her phone.
“Mana mami, ma?” Devano asked who had just come from the bathroom.
“Mami and papa are out of work, baby.” Felisha told the son.
“Yah..” that 8-year-old boy snarled. “Are we going back home?” It flashed through Devano's mind, a boring trip by car.
“No, Dev. As planned. We'll stay here.” The grandmother answered Devano's question. Makes Devano cheer up.
“Yey.. Can I play, Grandma?”
“Sure.” Lady Hugo asked the Lord to accompany the son to play. Edward does provide a room that is specifically used to play by children.
“So, we'll stay overnight, ma?” Ask Felisha to make sure.
“Yes, there's no way we're back now. Kasian is also Devano. He needs a new atmosphere.”
Felisha nodded her head.
Mrs Hugo then spoke to the village maam who was near them. The middle-aged woman asked the kitchen worker to make dinner for five people, as she invited Johan and Monica to dinner together.
The house assistant resigned.
“Ya already, Fel. We rest first.”
Felisha nodded. She followed her mother into the room.
*****
In the afternoon of capital time, Damian took the time to pick Teresha up to the place where she worked.
After returning home from meeting Leo, the two men decide to familiarize themselves, with each other.
And here Damian is now, in a parking lot in front of the lobby of a five-story building. Waiting patiently, the appearance of his ex-wife. Damian stood up while leaning his body against the car door.
Almost twenty minutes waiting, the woman he was waiting for came closer. The man opened the passenger door next to the driver for his ex-wife. Then he took his place behind the wheel.
“Where are we going?” Teresha asked, while putting a seat belt on her body.
“Where are you going? It's up to you, Te. I'm with.” Damian said as he blinked one eye towards the ex who will be his wife again.
“Hmm, what if we shop, after that make dinner together?” Teresha tries to get closer to her ex-husband. He wanted, when they got back together, no more awkwardness between them.
Damian nodded his head. He drove his car to the nearest supermarket.
Once at the supermarket, Teresha bought some groceries. Such as rice, vegetables, meat and spices.
This was the first time the man had brought Teresha to his residence.
“I live alone, Te. Mama has long died.” It was clearly Damian who saw the doubt in Teresha.
“I'm sorry, Dam. I'm so sorry.” Teresha knew Damian only had a mother, while the father had died before they were married.
“You want to, right?” Ask Damian again.
Chief Teresha nodded. There was no reason for him to refuse. Because one day, they will also live together.
Teresha was amazed to see the house occupied by her ex-husband. Two-story minimalist style house. The shape of the house that so far, the woman dreamed.
“Come in.” Take Damian and open the door.
Teresha nodded, following Damian's steps into the house.
“You really live alone here?” Ask Teresha again, while putting her groceries on the dining room table.
“Ya.”
“No household assistant?”
“Call, usually come two days once.”
Teresha nodded her head. He put down the handbag he was carrying to work. Remove the blazer that he used. Then move towards the kitchen.
The woman was again amazed to see the kitchen equipment is so complete. Makes her unsure if Damian lives alone.
“I love to cook, so the furniture here is complete.” Damian came, answering the woman's curiosity. The man handed a black aprons to Teresha.
Teresha's cheeks suddenly got hot. Damian seemed to know what he was thinking. They also started cooking.
“After we get married, you want to stay here with me?” Damian asked on the sidelines of their activities.
“Sure. Doesn't the wife have to follow wherever her husband goes?”
Damian smiled at Teresha's reply.
“I would be very happy if you would come with me wherever I go, Te.”
Teresha throttled, thinking that Damian had misinterpreted her words.
“But, does Leo want to come with us?”
“What's the reason?”
The woman sighed slowly.
“I'm afraid, Leo won't come with us.” Lirih.
Damian stopped his activities of cutting vegetables. The man approached his ex-wife. Grabbing both of the woman's shoulders, and making Teresha look at her.
“Listen to me, it is not our goal to get married to apologize from our son?”
The woman's head nodded.
“Then from that, the most important thing is that Leo forgives us first. Business he wants to stay with us or not, later we think again.”
It was Damian's turn to breathe.
“I no longer have a purpose in life, other than to see the happiness of Leo. I only have Leo to carry on my family lineage. Her happiness is the most important.”
Teresha nodded back. And no matter who started, they embraced each other.
